Built in 1880, The Inn was at one time a brothel, until it was raided by federal officers. The Inn was a favorite site of cowboys and teamsters, who appreciated the fine foods and jovial atmosphere.
Over 100 years later, the Inn at Tres Pinos is now a San Benito County Historical Landmark, carefully restored by owner, Mike Howard. The ambiance is intimate, rustic, and elegant. It’s country with a touch of class, and decorated in a style that is a reflection of Mike’s personal interest. Mike's grandfather taught him the the art of fly-fishing, and every year the family still fishes together at the Big Wood River in Sun Valley, Idaho. Mike married Mary along the Big Wood River in 2010, and the Inn has become a true family affair. Mike’s philosophy is “Keep it fresh and keep it simple.” His staff is personally hand picked and will make every effort to meet your expectations. The Inn at Tres Pinos is the only four-star restaurant in San Benito Country.

Very quaint, relaxing atmosphere. All staff are so friendly and very accommodating. One of my favorite places.

The Inn at Tres Pinos is a comfortable, well established restaurant. The service was excellent and the meals were very good, except the Salmon was a wee bit over done. The servers were very good, helpful, friendly, courteous and efficient. I would recommend this restaurant.

It was my husband‘s birthday, so I did not complain, the pinnacle Panini pasta was very dry with no flavor. My husband ordered one of their specials and is what will bring us back for another pleasant dinner at the Inn.

We were a group of 9 and enjoyed the privacy of the wine room where we could engage in conversation and enjoy a fabulous dinner with impeccable service. Always enjoy the ambiance at the Inn. Food and service is always great. I give value 3 stars due to the cost of a glass of champagne and/or wine and coffee is a bit high. The noise level in the main room was energetic. All in all a good time was had.

We had a 7 PM reservation was sat at our table at 6:50. We did not see a server till 705 and the whole evening was just not the same as it normally is at that restaurant. The food wasn’t as good. The salad was old. The vegetables weren’t cooked. They were out of a lot of beer and wine so we ended up bringing our own wine in just disappointed in the meal overall and we eat here a lot. We’d love to come here on occasion.
