INTRODUCING ADAMI- A SEAT AT THE SUNDAY TABLE...
Situated alongside the hotel’s main pool, guests can indulge in a tapestry of authentic Greek gastronomy at the hotel’s new restaurant, Adami. The name, inspired by the Greek word ‘αντάμωμα’ (antamoma), meaning ‘meeting,’ speaks to the desire for connection and a taste of familiarity, reflected through the restaurant’s menu made up of generations-old recipes. Each plate reflects a passport to Greece’s culinary heritage with locally sourced ingredients that allow the bounty of Santorini and the mainland to shine in each bite.

Venue: The atmosphere was very nice and the restaurant was in a good location. However, we were sat at a table that was further back from the caldera and there were multiple other tables that were free right up until we finished our meal. This resulted in our evening being located at a ‘worse table’ and we were forced to look upon vacant tables with no explanation as to why we couldn’t sit at them, this was frustrating and poor customer service. Service: The service was okay, staff were friendly. However, we were greeted with a monologue regarding the cocktail menu, and felt pressured into purchasing one. Whilst we resisted the pressure, we requested a starter and the staff member then proceeded to strongly advise we don’t have that starter and instead have the ‘meze’, which just so happened to be the most expensive starter on the menu. I did not appreciate this one bit. Food: Despite the pressure aforementioned, the ‘meze’ was in fact delicious, however, it was a shame that the main course diminished the former. We were once again, advised by staff to try the Pork Gyros, which was actually what we were most excited to try. Given I have previously been both very attentive to Gyros on any Greek menu, whether that be a restaurant or Greek food van, I have been privileged to have experienced a vast array of gyros dishes. It is with great regret and disappointment that I can categorically confirm that Adami’s Pork Gyros is the worst I have ever had. It resembled that of a ‘Slough Kebab’. For context, the pork mirrored dry skin in appearance and tasted no better than a dry, enzymic shaving. The meat (generous word to describe what was on my plate), was accompanied by 3 tomatoes and some onion, forming a lonesome and deprived salad alongside some soggy and rather basic chips, which is far from what you would expect from a €34 dish. Overall I was thoroughly disappointed in what was our most expensive meal in Santorini. This review was written under an anonymous name.

Amazing food, ambience, and service! Servers were very friendly and helpful to accommodate gluten allergy. Would recommend getting there before the crowd / requesting a table by the edge of the restaurant/cliff for the best view! The maze / Greek spread starter was great. We also got the catch of the day (sea bass) which was delicious!

Exceptional for a hotel restaurant (usually not the best indicator). Food was freshly prepared, well-seasoned, and well considered in its recipe development, e.g., not the old staples, considered new twists., which was fun. The lamb and fish were excellent. Even my wife who is not a lamb fan, thought it was wonderful. Kudos to the chef. Service was great - professional and knowledgeable. so much so that he was glad to provide some history on some of the wines and dishes. Very interesting. Would have given 5 stars here, but a few times we had to seek him out, and we enjoy a leisurely meal. Only drawback was it was a windy evening. We were at the first row of tables. There are no wind breaks at all. It was blowing quite hard; we had to hold down menus and such, and my wife had to eat with one hand holding her hair back. While they certainly can't control the weather, and Oia is often windy, it still dampened things a bit with the gusts. Prices aren't for the faint of heart, but it is Santorini, and the food was memorable.
