   We came to celebrate a birthday, which was in the reservation notes. We got their smallest table, that barely had room for food, so we asked the server if we could space out our dishes and order if/as desired for the next dish. She said that was fine, then after we got the birthday dessert that they probably charged for, though said they wouldn’t, the owner or manager came to see if everything was good. We said yes, he went away. Came back 5 minutes later asking again. Same a 3rd time then said he needs the table because he has someone waiting for it. We waited 20+minutes during the end of meal before dessert just for them to box up the leftovers. Had we known we should not have spaced anything out, we would not have ordered extra from them. Poorly handled at best and birthday celebrant was embarrassed and upset by their unprofessional approach. Food was mostly good, naan bread though was hard. Would not recommend or go back after this obnoxious experience.

   The dishes are unique Indian cultural spices with a twist. Excellent service and very friendly staff including the owner who was personally making sure we had a great experience.

   Sukhu and Ajit personally oversee every element of Indus and it shows - a beautiful space, amazing food, great service, and a wine list with more reasonably priced great wines by the glass than you've ever seen. Not just your traditional Northern Indian food but a more modern take with exquisite flavors. Can't wait to go back !

   My most recent dinner at Indus Progressive Indian was fantastic (as usual). I hadn't had their Indian lamb chops before, but now that I have, will again and again. I can see why they recently received the Chicago Tribune's award for best suburban restaurant. Such a delightful and delicious evening...

   Sat at the bar. Bartender made great cocktails and was super helpful with food recommendations. So good!
