This is the 3rd time we’ve eaten at Indus. Our first couple of visits, the food was amazing. We were shocked at how the food quality had deteriorated. All the food was pungent, excessive use of spices. We’re Indian and we love our spices but it’s the subtle mix of spices that make Indian food enjoyable. We reluctantly brought some left overs home except the dumplings aloo which was unpalatable .

The food is great and ambiance is pretty good, but the food is very pricey for a suburban restaurant. I’m not sure the quality of the experience really justifies the cost.

We had a wonderful dinner at Indus on a busy Thursday evening. We were seated immediately for our 7pm reservation. The restaurant was busy, our sever was very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Two members of our party had dietary restrictions, and the server was able to provide helpful insight their dining options. We were catching up with good friends, enjoying our cocktails, and were slow to make our menu choices. Our sever understood, and we did not feel rushed. We ordered the Kurkuri Bhindi, and Spiced Asparagus to share for starters, both very tasty. For entree’s, my wife had the Patrani Macchi, I had the Palak Paneer with an order of Butter Naan. Both entrees were delicious. We will be back often, especially during the summer months to enjoy their outside dining tables!

Excellent food and service. The owners are the sweetest people. We were dining with non Indian friends and they were very accommodating with our needs.

I'm grateful that this restaurant opened in downtown Highland Park. Attentive service, owners present and excellent food. I don't know much about Indian food but I enjoyed my dinner.

Really enjoyed the flavors of the food. Especially loved the chicken tikka masala and chicken biryani. Service was very good as well.
