The service and the vibe are always outstanding. First restaurant that comes to my mind when i want to start a fun night
This was our second time at Indochine in two weeks. We love the place. The food was outstanding: fresh, tasty. The ambiance is exotic and elegant. A bit noisy but manageable. Please don't forget to ask for special of the day dish. We had Chicken lollipop that day and the chicken meat was so tender and juicy. The spice made the chicken very tasty. We also had grilled baby back ribs, another delicious tasty dish! If you like pork, definitly try it. Fish dishes are also great. We had Steamed Chilean Sea Bass. The fish was delicate yet the taste was flavorful. We also love the grilled eggplant and crispy bean curd. All excellent. Will return there very soon.
This was my first visit. The food was exquisite. The wait staff were all beautiful people who tried to make sure my companion and I were taken care of. I arrived with the hopes of having access to the pre-theater menu. It was the last day of restaurant week so the restaurant week menu became the pre-theater menu. That was fine but I would've preferred it if there was a choice. The ravioli was a delicious surprise. It came in personal bamboo steamers and had the appearance more like summer rolls than the traditional ravioli. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the broth it came with was delectable. I tried the fried rice from my companion's bowl and every grain of rice seemed to carry the full bodied flavor of the mixture. The lemon tart was exactly as advertised. Kudos to the chef because it is not easy to make a filling taste like all of the best things about a lemon. Can't wait to come back.
Food was phenomenal! Service incredible. Loved the vibe. Great area.
Fantastic Service. Nothing special with presentation but outstanding food with rich flavors
Magnífica atención por parte de los trabajadores del restaurante. El ambiente sofisticado y alegre. La comida deliciosa y muy sabrosa. El restaurante es una joya que evoca otras épocas y de plena actualidad.
very good food and atmosphere , unfortunately the service isn't up to standard of the location ( nice looking service but not so attentive )
I haven’t been this restaurant for a long long time and I wasn’t sure it still good place to be. But food was so good. We were very happy. Service was okay but definitely we’ll be back.
Noise level was off the charts. If you don't mind that, the food and service were good.
Have been dining at Indochine since the mid late 80s. Doesn’t get old.
Pricy but large portions that can easily be shared.
Good vegetarian and non-alcoholic options as well.
Been here before for RW and came back bec we loved it so much the first time. It was more crowded and it felt like the staff was spread thin but the food was amazing!
The restaurant was great but the note about the birthday was not acknowledged when dessert arrived.
Attentive, sophisticated personnel with good, well seasoned food: basic reason to go back to a restaurant Problem: noise raising to the level where you have to shout to your companions...
Went for restaurant week. The tables were crammed next to each other. About an inch in between tables, you were in the next tables space and could hear every detail of their conversation. The food was ok, I was definitely expecting it to be abit more inventive and fusion. Basically traditional Vietnamese food given western names. I thought there would be more of a ‘spin’ on the food. If you come expecting that then it’s not bad! Just not crazy about it.
Best looking people at the restaurant.
Way too loud. I couldnt even speak to my date without screaming. Food is great though.
Our table was wobbling all evening, almost knocking off our drinks and food. Couple next to us were sitting at a table for two ....but both sitting on the same side and leaning into my date. They were on drugs and woman had her hand down the guys pants under the table. Servers said nothing about it all. If this is the kind of people this restaurant attracts, then it's not for me. I require a more classy place.
We had a great time Went for a Birthday celebration. We were given a great table, fabulous service and delicious food. And a special bday dessert! One of my favorite restaurants since it opened.
Wanted to try for a long time, NYC Restaurant Week made it happen!
Visited during Restaurant Week with my cousin for her birthday dinner, at her choosing being extremely excited to eat at a highly renowned and established nyc restaurant.
Overall atmosphere was a fun and eclectic vibe with tropical elements.
Overall food was tasty and drinks were delicious.
My ISSUE comes from one of our appetizers (ravioli) that had a HAIR in the steamer basket. This was noticed right after opening the lid. The server was alerted, he apologized and brought a new appetizer quickly.
We began to enjoy the replacement appetizer and what appears on my plate after the first bite is A SECOND HAIR!!!! Our server was then alerted and he apologized again. We were assured the kitchen would be “talked to”.
The “make up” was our second replacement was “allowed” to be ordered “off the regular menu” “and it would be taken care of”. We chose at the suggestion of our server the summer roll of shrimp and chicken, which, by the way, is actually less expensive than the appetizer on the restaurant week menu.
The replacement for a comparable appetizer that just happened to be not on the restaurant week menu, in my opinion is NOT an acceptable apology for TWICE having a HAIR in our food during the same meal. Also, it was not an additional appetizer, it was still a replace ment for something we only started to eat.
At bare minimum a drink for each of us should have been comped. Unacceptable for such an establishment.
Indochine is sublime - always have a great experience here - delicious food, professional service, and the perfect lighting.
Great experience in an absolute authentic good restaurant, also in a good location.
Indochine doesn’t let you down. We had the theater menu and it was abundant. It was four of us, so we got to really experience the many dishes. For my wife and I what we realized is the at least for us, one meal split between us would’ve sufficed and then some. The salmon was perfect. The cuts of shaken beef were a bit chewy/tough, so I suggest having them made on the medium well side, as opposed to medium or medium rare. The desserts were all great. Sorbet was my favorite.
food alone was very unimpressive. Portions were generous for an elegant restaurant.
Really delicious food that's close to theaters in the area. The staff were wonderfully helpful and welcoming. They did a great job of getting our large party out on time for our 8pm show.
Always a great evening for dinner. Love the Fluke , eggplant and green beans! Yum!
We had the pre-theatre menu. $45 was too expensive for the food provided - the appetisers were fine, but we could barely eat the entrees. The chicken was fatty and the beef was so tough we couldn’t eat it at all. I would not recommend this restaurant.
I love this restaurant because food is good and interior is great but the waitress who served us were not friendly at all even so scarely. She is tall and like a model but she is o stucked up!
Otherwise very good!
Delicious dishes especially the skirt steak. Ambiance hip and super loud with some level of pretentious people. Servers and host are in a chill vibe and don’t seem happy most likely due to the small dining area and cramped feeling. Fun music and cool decor. A dining experience worth having since the food truly is scrumptious
Very nice place. Prices are high, but the food is excellent. Service was mediocre. Nevertheless we enjoyed the evening and would go there again :-)
Food was great but the service really sucked. For such a place, the waitress did not check back on us, in fact we were ignore most of the time. I added on the special requests on open table that it was my friends birthday. We did not at all got a birthday song nor anything while two tables down they were singing happy birthday.
Nice place with fancy ambient and good quality food. We tried also cocktails ad they were balanced.
Service was good and noise level acceptable. Asian cuisine is mixed with modern influence. Portions are not very abundant but you will leave Indochine satisfied. Definitely recommended.
Already did to friends the next day. The food was amazing.
Great hot spot with a lot of personality and excellent cuisine.
I've had a better food there. It was very standard.
