Excellent dinner but the ambient is very noisy
Love Indochine. Always great!
Early reservation no crowds and always good food. I have been coming here since the place opened and it’s always a good place to go before the public.
Love this place! Never disappoints.
SERVICE - outstanding...we took our family and a few friends for a dual birthday dinner. Our 84 year old "grandmother" we call her Bebe, and my 26 year old daughter. Bebe likes her Manhattan a certain way, and the bartender obliged after his first dry did not meet the requirements of Bebe. All this while serving the other 8 of us ( there were 9 all together). Kudos to all who went out of their way to insure our entire party was happy.
COCKTAILS ...The Indochine martini was the hit of the evening, but the expresso martini's were award worthy.
FOOD....a 4 out of 5. Eggplant was the hit f the table with the tuna mini taco's. You can skip the fried red fish
It is not the first time that I have been at Indochine, but other night was ally all good. Both appetizers and main dish. Vietnames rolls, ravioli, spicy shrimps ,salmon fantastic
It's always fun and a treat to go to Indochine. The food is delicious. Service is hospitable, prompt, courteous and efficient. And the place is always rocking. Always impresses visitors to NYC.
Food is great in this restaurant, premium ingredients and quality, probably my favorite after tonight. The menu is various and well made with multiple choices and the wine list too. Very nice atmosphere, the music is not too loud and you can speak with the rest of the table without having to shout.
The service was too slow, Almost 30 min to order after I was seated. But also very slow in clearing the table, once I finished the dishes were on the table for 20 min and I had to ask the waiter to do it . Same for the check, we wanted to go and nobody was taking care of us for 20 minutes, I had to ask for the check with the finished dishes still on the table because nobody was coming for clearing it... and the restaurant was not even full.
The positive thing was that after we ordered it didn’t take long before we started to eat.
Great value for the food you are getting. The duck was excellent. No complaints.
Even though service was a bit sketchy this was our favourite place in NY, the ambiance is really something. The food was a bit uneven with some amazing items and some more bland but overall you can really understand why this restaurant has been around for so long.
Favorite Vietnamese Restaurant. It has a beautiful ambiance and kind staff.
It’s a special occasion place for us but it was very good—I would definitely go back!
Only too happy to applaud the deserving
Great food and drinks. Great spot for a pre-theater meal. The Red Snapper is a MUST EAT! Great drinks too!
The service and the vibe are always outstanding. First restaurant that comes to my mind when i want to start a fun night
This was our second time at Indochine in two weeks. We love the place. The food was outstanding: fresh, tasty. The ambiance is exotic and elegant. A bit noisy but manageable. Please don't forget to ask for special of the day dish. We had Chicken lollipop that day and the chicken meat was so tender and juicy. The spice made the chicken very tasty. We also had grilled baby back ribs, another delicious tasty dish! If you like pork, definitly try it. Fish dishes are also great. We had Steamed Chilean Sea Bass. The fish was delicate yet the taste was flavorful. We also love the grilled eggplant and crispy bean curd. All excellent. Will return there very soon.
Always iconic. I was surprised I got a 9:30 reservation for restaurant week. I hadn’t been in years so I wanted to do the RW menu to check out the food and I’ll definitely be back! The portions were great (even on the big side) especially for the value. The salmon was incredible and perfectly cooked. We loved the noodle salad. The room is just THE BEST. So elegant and the right amount of noise. Congrats on always being perfect!!!
This was my first visit. The food was exquisite. The wait staff were all beautiful people who tried to make sure my companion and I were taken care of. I arrived with the hopes of having access to the pre-theater menu. It was the last day of restaurant week so the restaurant week menu became the pre-theater menu. That was fine but I would've preferred it if there was a choice. The ravioli was a delicious surprise. It came in personal bamboo steamers and had the appearance more like summer rolls than the traditional ravioli. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the broth it came with was delectable. I tried the fried rice from my companion's bowl and every grain of rice seemed to carry the full bodied flavor of the mixture. The lemon tart was exactly as advertised. Kudos to the chef because it is not easy to make a filling taste like all of the best things about a lemon. Can't wait to come back.
My friends and I went to this restaurant during restaurant week and it is DELICIOUS. Food was absolutely amazing. Such good food, great wine, and the atmosphere and decor were awesome. I'd even recommend this as more of a date night spot. Super chic!
Food was phenomenal! Service incredible. Loved the vibe. Great area.
Fantastic Service. Nothing special with presentation but outstanding food with rich flavors
Magnífica atención por parte de los trabajadores del restaurante. El ambiente sofisticado y alegre. La comida deliciosa y muy sabrosa. El restaurante es una joya que evoca otras épocas y de plena actualidad.
very good food and atmosphere , unfortunately the service isn't up to standard of the location ( nice looking service but not so attentive )
I haven’t been this restaurant for a long long time and I wasn’t sure it still good place to be. But food was so good. We were very happy. Service was okay but definitely we’ll be back.
Noise level was off the charts. If you don't mind that, the food and service were good.
Have been dining at Indochine since the mid late 80s. Doesn’t get old.
Pricy but large portions that can easily be shared.
Good vegetarian and non-alcoholic options as well.
Been here before for RW and came back bec we loved it so much the first time. It was more crowded and it felt like the staff was spread thin but the food was amazing!
The restaurant was great but the note about the birthday was not acknowledged when dessert arrived.
Attentive, sophisticated personnel with good, well seasoned food: basic reason to go back to a restaurant Problem: noise raising to the level where you have to shout to your companions...
Went for restaurant week. The tables were crammed next to each other. About an inch in between tables, you were in the next tables space and could hear every detail of their conversation. The food was ok, I was definitely expecting it to be abit more inventive and fusion. Basically traditional Vietnamese food given western names. I thought there would be more of a ‘spin’ on the food. If you come expecting that then it’s not bad! Just not crazy about it.
Best looking people at the restaurant.
Way too loud. I couldnt even speak to my date without screaming. Food is great though.
Our table was wobbling all evening, almost knocking off our drinks and food. Couple next to us were sitting at a table for two ....but both sitting on the same side and leaning into my date. They were on drugs and woman had her hand down the guys pants under the table. Servers said nothing about it all. If this is the kind of people this restaurant attracts, then it's not for me. I require a more classy place.
We had a great time Went for a Birthday celebration. We were given a great table, fabulous service and delicious food. And a special bday dessert! One of my favorite restaurants since it opened.
Wanted to try for a long time, NYC Restaurant Week made it happen!
