About
Great ambiance. Great food. Overall a solid 10/10.
After our first visit we decided: This is our new favorite Restaurant in NY! Everything was delightful, above all our charming waiter Alex who was very charming and interesting and lovely to talk to. Thank you Alex and Indochine for a wonderful evening!
Wonderful hosts without pretension...fashionably dressed and welcoming.
Red snapper was delicious and the presentation was fabulous.
I thought the Saigon chicken tasted great. I think I was imagining a steamed chicken with those spices described.
I’d just enhance the presentation somehow because next to the red snapper it was visually disappointing but I didn’t send back because it was a great balance of the spice and taste. And really how it goes down is what matters.
The pea shoots were a beautiful color and tasted delicious.
The cocktails were very good
The service by our server was outstanding as the place kept getting busier and busier. Felt cared for! She was awesome.
Thanks for making our Saturday night special.
I have never seen such gorgeous staff as those that greeted us, seated us, and took care of our meal. And everything was delicious. The setting was striking. A great evening at a restaurant new to us.
It’s always consistently good I love it there and it always feels special a great downtown venue I’ve been going since the late nineties
Still fun, but I feel the food and service have slipped a bit. First visit in a few years, but have been a fan since it opened.
Fantastic price fixe meal from start to finish
Stylish restaurant too
Mucho ruido
Lugar pequeño y decoración sencilla
La comida... ok
I have been going to Indochine for over 10 years now and i still crave the food there 💕
Love the food, service and ambience at Indochine. The pre-theater menu is a great deal. The salmon dish has been changed. It is now wonderfully spiced as opposed to the former delicious lemongrass broth. Both lovely. We always choose Indochine before attending the Public.
Lovely and well situated across from The Public Theatre - they are always attuned to curtain time, but never seem to make you feel rushed. The food is different and outstanding.
Extremely disappointed about the service.
Overall food was ok, not mind blowing. Given difficulty of booking the place and price, I don’t think I’ll make another effort of coming here.
Food:
- My friend does not feel well when she consumes raw meat. We ordered beef salad but the meat came out to be too raw for her. we asked the waiter if it’s possible to cook the beef more, and the waiter went to check, and came back saying no. We didn’t understand why it’s not possible to overcook the meat (because we are paying for this anyways) and he didn’t offer any other alternatives.
- The recommendations of dish were not a good combination. Beef salad had strongest flavour, and we kept getting blunt flavoured dish as a main. These were all recommended by the waiter. Would make more sense for us, if he couldn’t been adjusted the recommendations depending on what we are ordering.
Service:
- I left my wallet in my coat. I asked women at the reception if I can get my coat because I left my wallet, she said to follow her to the to the coat room. I followed her and she came out of the coat room having my wallet in her hand. I specifically asked for a coat because I didn’t want a stranger going through my coat..
my only complaint is how close each table is to other tables. you can't get in or out without interfering with people at adjoining tables. even a few inches would make a difference
Wasn’t as good as it usually is. Service was not good. Unfortunately waitress was pretty but forgetful and inattentive. Food was fishy and not as fresh as usual. However lemon tart was 10/10 as always.
Wonderful Chic atmosphere. Fabulous food that you share. Arrive and ambience perfect.
Love this place more than life!
Would like to live there.
Terrible front of house service.
Terrific food for many years
the duck was amazing! really good atmosphere and great for large groups. Will be back!
I had dinner with a friend at Indochine on a Monday night.
It was delightful, food ambiance and service alike.
Unassuming location and relatively quiet spot to taste some superb dishes in the company of artists and hipsters. Waiters may be too nonchalant so be sure to ask for a description of each plate brought to your table, as each has interesting secrets.
I love this restaurant! I’ve been coming here since they opened.I hardly go out these days but when I do this is usually the place I want to go. The crabcakes are unbelievably tasty and the menu is just full of delicious things- you could just close your eyes and point and you would be happy. The servers are always smiling and very attentive. My only caveat is that it gets pretty loud so the earlier the better unless you don’t mind shouting. But it’s a happy place!
I love Indochine! Me and my family come often. For today, the food was a lot saltier than normal, and the mushrooms were actually burned and bitter on the bottom unfortunately. Will still come back!
Ambience was very nice, food was very good. But the overall experience was overpriced.
Absolutely our favorite restaurant in NYC. We travel to the city once each year and Indochine is always our first night out.
Es nuestro favorito desde hace 25 años!
Classic NY restaurant
Always great fun! Service wonderful upfront and in the dining room!
Food was delicious with generous portions. Atmosphere was pre WWII Saigon and service was just right. Restaurant week menu was a good value.
Great food. Very tasty.
Amazing food full of flavour. Service was exceptional
Great food & service!
Excellent service. Everybody has a smiley face, server was extremely attentive. Delicious food too. Would love to come back
Pho tasted like uncooked old dry noodles floating in water. Adding of sauces did nothing it to it. I did not finish it. The rest of the food was just OK, not very flavorful. The lemon tart was pretty good but you'd expect they get the Vietnamese part of menu right. The ambiance is unenticing. The servers were very nice, though. Not going back.
The people who check you in for your reservations were laughing at me and mocking me and in addition made me wait from 10 PM to 10:45 to get seated !!
We started going to Indochine years ago and even spent a few New Years Eve at the restaurant. It continues to maintain an upbeat environment with great food and service.
We went for the pre theater three course dinner menu at 5:30! It was a great dinner!
Way too noisy! Main dish of sizzling beef was just ok. I was glad we took the restaurant week deal otherwise would have been overpriced for the mediocre quality.
Our waitress was terrific.
Always a treat. The food, the service and the atmosphere. We love coming back to our favorite Vietnamese treat.
