INDO Restaurant & Lounge Ratings and Reviews
We enjoyed our Friday dinner although this isn’t a good place for friends to talk if there are more than two of you because of the noise level.
We followed web suggestions and got roti, garlic noodles, basil chicken, mango salad and green beans. Perfect for three people with a small rice.
Service was fine but took a while before the server appeared after we were seated. Once we were “discovered” all was good.
We would return but next time I think we will try happy hour which runs to a generous 8 pm.
Overall: we enjoyed the restaurant even if a tad noisy for us. It was very good.
Really nice and consistent, food is excellent. Everything is well prepared. The staff is efficient and friendly. They bring the appetizer quickly, and then give you a break before the main, great timing. The only drawback is that it is very noisy, it gives the place the atmosphere of a hot place, but it is hard to carry a conversation.
Every other time I've been to Indo, the food has been outstanding. However, when we went there this past Sunday, both the Chilean seabass and the salmon tasted off. Maybe we shouldn't have ordered fish on a Sunday, but if Indo can't make sure the fish is fresh, it shouldn't have it on the menu. I would like to emphasize, though, that I normally love every single thing at Indo.
It was incredibly noisy inside so we sat outside even though it was raining. Heat lamps were helpful. Had basil chicken with veggies. Chicken was overcooked, very few veggies, minimal sauce. Overall disappointing. Have had dinners here that were good. This was lunch and I wouldn't come again.
I really enjoyed the food. I ordered the fried rice and it was delicious. So delicious that I wanted more. I don't feel the portion was enough to substantiate the $15 price. It is just rice after all. Someone in my party ordered the Pad Thai and their portion was huge compared to mine, so I feel as though the portion sizes could be tweeked a little. My biggest complaint was the ambiance. The entire place was lit by candlelight, which is great if you're feasting on the hunt in your cave, but not so good when several people have to pull out their cell phones to read the menu. The other gripe is that the acoustics were not very good in there. It was very loud, even though the restaurant was not very busy, and several members of my party remarked that they could not communicate members at the other end of the table. Overall, great food, but disappointing ambiance.
The prices make this a special occasion restaurant for me. Upscale but not pretentious. Creative use of ingredients, beautifully presented. Attentive and friendly service. We were seated upstairs which is probably a quieter area. Tables are far enough apart to not hear other conversations.
Great food, great ambiance. and lovely indonesian/southeast asian food. Coming from Singapore, this is my go-to place for food from my home region. Love it! Not all authentic (rendang is not similar at all) but there are other dishes that are authentic enough.
The place is great! Very nice, dark and intimate atmosphere, good chill out music and you can actually have a conversation without screaming to each other. Yummy, strong drinks, awesome service and THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS!!! We were literally moaning for the whole meal and got double desserts. Everything was just too good.
Fantastic place. We've found are new favorite restaurant!
