Not a lot of fine restaurants are open on Mondays in Springfield Illinois.
Nathan was our waiter and he treats you like you are in New York City or Chicago.
Nathan is local but has a very international flair and international experience. Nathan is an awesome waiter in all ways.
My wife had lamb chops medium rare; others had the sea scallops, not the baby bay scallops.
Exceeded our highest expectations!!
Very efficient wait persons. With service, food quality and wait staff that matches the Chicago & New York City quality.
I only wish they would bring back the concert grand piano. Thank you for the very wonderful experience!!
Always good. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Salmon, pork chop, NY strip, bacon wrapped dates. Excellent.
Incredible service, amazing menu, and the food was delicious. Would go back in a heartbeat
We enjoyed our time at Indio! Mike greeted us and took us to our table. The food was great and so was the service!!
The drinks, the appetizers, the service, and the dessert were all amazing! We tried multiple cocktails and they were all so good! The rock was marinated perfectly and was also just a fun little appetizer. The only complaint we all had was about the Filet Mignon my friend ordered for her birthday dinner. She didn’t want to order it because of the price but with it being her birthday I pushed her to get whatever she wanted. The fillet came out and it was a good size and cooked to absolute perfection! However, it had no flavor whatsoever. It had a sauce with it that was okay, light in flavor as well. I thought maybe it was just me until one of the other girls said the same thing and the birthday girl agreed. It was very disappointing but everything else we received was absolutely amazing and our waitress was very friendly. We will definitely try again with different choices.
Carly our waitress was wonderful.
We had the Filet and Lamb chops with Lobster mac and cheese.
Excellent. Dessert was cheesecake and Tiramisu. Great.
The food and service were absolutely awesome-the bacon wrapped dates were incredible and my Porkchop entrée was delicious-great meal Indigo!
We were there on New Year's Eve. Food was excellant! Waitress was a little annoying, but served us well. We will return!
Steaks and fish were outstanding! Salad needed more dressing/flavor.
My husband and I celebrate our anniversary every year at Indigo. This year we decided to make it a evening out more than once a year.
Really great steak and drinks in a nice environment. Cozy restaurant and excellent menu. All of our food was great!
We are regulars at Indigo. The owners are wonderful as are the servers. They have a private room for groups which we have used upon occasion. The Salmon, Filet Mignon, Lamb, and Sea Bass are consistently good. I always choose from one of those four. The Salmon is an excellent bargain besides the great taste. And, house salad is included with the entrees, something not seen in Springfield anymore at the upper end restaurants. The house Cab is usually very good. And what I really appreciate is by the glass or by the bottle, the prices work out the same. Oh, they produce a good size martini, too.
Everything was great!! The food was amazing
We enjoyed our birthday celebration @ Indigo. Everyone ordered seafood & was not disappointed. Service was excellent & we appreciated receiving the round table we requested.
I would highly recommend Indigo. Especially appreciate it being open every day of the week!
Always make sure to eat here whenever I’m in town
As usual the food was great and the service was awesome!
We eat here about six times a year. Always a delight. Excellent food with specials nightly. Very good wine list. You don't have to dress up, but always nice to put on your best and eat out. Has an extra room for large groups too.
Solid choice, although my server was not very good-didn't seem to listen very well, and not too skilled.
Always love Indigo. Held my wedding reception there years ago and have been a regular ever since. The food is usually excellent. The service is on spot. Never too chatty, but never feel abandoned. The owners are very friendly, checking in with you throughout the night to be sure the meal is going as planned. My wife and I will be returning soon. She loves the Sea Bass. I like the Filet Mignon . Both are excellent.
Perfectly cooked rack of lamb and sea bass! Wine parings worked well with the meal. Absolutely delightful dining experience.
Please try the yummy appetizer of hot dates. So good!!
We frequent Indigo and bring guests because we can count on the meal and service to be first class.
Excellent high quality food! The steak was as tender as I've ever had and the lobster bisque was sensational!
Great selection of adult beverages so you can raise your class and cheers to an evening out. Portion sizes are good. You can easily enjoy an appetizer (we shared), salad, entree, and a dessert (we shared). Ambiance is great! Quiet and romantic (kinda of dark and candle lit). It's a perfect date night spot!
New York dining in Springfield, IL. Try it and you will be impressed.
We meet friends 3-4 times a year for dinner-Springfield is half way point for both couples. We have enjoyed Indigo for several years as our meeting place.
The service on Sunday was wonderful-the staff was helpful and knowledgeable about the menu.
Our friends were disappointed in the wine selection. Not being a wine drinker, I had no issue but they felt selection was limited.
In the past , I would have responded that the food was outstanding. Sunday, I would only say good. I had pork chop and felt it was a little to well done/dry. Taste was fine but a little chewy!
Sword fish was deemed "okay".
As noted earlier, we have been extremely happy in the past but can only say OK for our visit last Sunday.
Fantastic dinner as usual. In my opinion, Indigo is the best restaurant in Springfield.
I had a moderately spicy scallop dish that was quite good. My Caesar salad was rather small, and my dessert was a chocolate/peanut butter cheesecake, which was pretty good, but not outstanding. Very nice, attentive waitress.
Duck enchiladas always a hit. Especially liked two of the specials--corvina fish special and the flatbread appetizer; both were excellent.
Went on a tuesday night which may explain why there were only 3 couples (including us) in the dining area. Bar picked up as the night went on. Very quiet. Very very dark. Overall, food was very bland. Had the hot dates appetizer which were filled with blue cheese and wrapped in bacon. Couldn't tell that there was blue cheese at all. Had the lamb and wife had filet. Meat didn't taste that they were seasoned at all. The cook was good (both were medium). The side with the filet was a fried potato salad. But the potatoes weren't crispy at all; they just absorbed the oil. The fried potato salad was lacking salt as well. The potatoes with the lamb were blue cheese mashed potatoes. But again lacking salt and didn't taste like there was any blue cheese in them. Both served with steamed vegetable blend. But again lacking salt. Had creme brulee for dessert which was good. Service was also really good. Have talked to other people who have had similar opinions about the food but have gone again and had better food. Food is inconsistent and quality may depend on which day you go.
Fabulous park chop dinner and duck enchiladas--our favorites!
