Showcasing that the freshest ingredients are his muse in both the kitchen and bar, Carlos has established himself as a chef on the cutting edge of New American fine dining.
The whole experience made it a great evening out for our special occasion. I'd go back again.
We had an early dinner at 4pm, so the restaurant was not very busy. Our waitperson was prompt and very knowledgable of both the menu and the wine list. Prices are in line with the quality of the food. We will return!
Not many people in for a Sunday night at 5 pm. Our waitress was pleasant and made a mistake in our order that ended up in our favor. For an empty restaurant we had to wait for water refills and silverware. The street corn we ordered was amazing. My daughter's hemp tamale was delicious and the rack of lamb was good per my other daughter. Two of us split the Tomahawk which we ordered medium-rare but was quite rare inside. They corrected that well and we really enjoyed the re-fired steak. The vegetables were good. The wine list was good. Lots of potential because pretty good food quality but cannot go more than 3 stars for tonight.
Love it here. The fromage mussels are wonderfull and so is Makayla!
I have been back and forth from Michigan the past few months and eat here at least once when in town. Love the vegan hemp tamales! Morgan was our server and she was perfect! Friendly, happy and great energy! Staff is always nice though. Never a bad experience.
We were on holiday and checked out the reviews for this spot and decided to give it a try. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The house margarita is the bomb! Food portions are quite generous and delicious. We enjoyed an array of appetizers and ended up returning 2 days later for dinner. The Ahi Tuna bowl and lobster ravioli were amazing. Leave room for dessert because their Butter Cake hits all the right places.

Disappointing visit. My halibut special was rubbery and lacked seasoning. My wife’s cauliflower risotto needed salt. Our daughter’s chicken undercooked (regardless of what the chef said about the temp). Have been there a number of times. This is the first time we felt as if we had average meals at above average prices. Mentioned it was our anniversary on the reservation...no acknowledgement. Disappointing.

Loved coming here when the restaurant first opened. Now the food is pretty average and I am not as some delicious as we once remembered not sure I want to return.

The table cloth was dirty with stains and crumbs when we first sat down and when we asked for a new one the hostesses response was “sometimes these have stains but if you need a new one I can get one” - gee thanks.
The Ahi Tuna appetizer was one of worst we’ve ever had. The texture of the pieces was not consistent with some pieces hard and others soft. I’ve had fast food poke ahi tuna bowls with better tasting fish.
The entrees were extremely over priced- Market prices for all the steaks so you have to ask the price on 6 different items. $50 for a steak in Arizona....
Ended up with the Lobster Ravioli (which was not a traditional ravioli more just a large piece of pasta folded over burnt stuffing), the lobster was under cooked. For $38 this was over priced and underwhelming.
No dessert menu so you had to listen to the few items they have and again no prices mentioned.
The atmosphere- they are trying to be higher end - but upstairs they have a bar so throughout the night we could hear the basketball game on and sneakers squeaking.
Disappointing experience for an extremely over priced restaurant - especially when there are so many other options for better value.
Casual place. Been there twice and really liked the food, as did the people we were with. I think it changed management (don't know when). Most of the people we've been there with had bad experiences in the past but all agreed that their recent experiences were the same as ours - very good.

Service was great, ambiance is artistic and enjoyable. My wife had Porcini encrusted scallops (VERY good) and I had Mole Chicken (spices in Indigo Crow's mole are quite good, presentation was appetizing). However, eating the 1/2 chicken turned out to be rather messy (it was whole rather than sectioned for easier eating). All in all, we will be back!

Fabulous fare! Even for my vegan husband!!!!
We came over on Saturday to celebrate my birthday the following Monday; it was our first visit, and were we pleasantly surprised. The outside does not reflect the experience on the inside; it was unique, very clean, beautiful artwork, nice tables, great wine selection, and the menu, along with the food, was outstanding.
I'd encourage anyone looking for a special celebration, or just a 5 star dining experience to try Indigo Crow. We'll definitely be back again.
Ambience & service was fine. The food, however, was not. We enjoy going out to eat, trying new places, experimenting with food and don't mind paying a lot if the food & flavor combinations are worth it. Every dish I had was underwhelming or over the top in a negative way, with spice, consistency, or flavor. We were concerned that there were many empty tables when we arrived on a Friday night, and now we know why. They need a new chef. Carefree/Cave Creek have some pretty good restaurants, and if you want to make it in this market, you have to be excellent.
Food was great and so was our server. Nice evening out with a group of friends.

Love this restaurant. Steaks are amazing! My only complaint is that they need to give more bread with the mussels. The broth was so good you don't want to leave a drop.

Recently went to Indigo Crow with friends and had their SeaBass special it was fantastic! One friend had the Paella and felt it was way too smoky lost the flavor of the seafood. Our waiter was fantastic attentive but not overly. The music however is too loud more like foreground instead of background - we did ask they turn it down which thankfully they did.
Superlative kitchen. Wonderful art and mice atmosphere. Service needs some improvement. Servers upstairs are not attentive at all. Servers in the restaurant are more on par with the quality of the restaurant. Bar upstairs is a little sloppy where service is concerned. Nice folks but not really in sync with the service model of Indigo.
Again FOOD is amazing and chef comes out and makes sure people are happy and that’s a great thing.
A relaxing place with good food. They have a very nice wine list, though short, it has good quality wines. The appetizers of hummus and skewered brussel sprouts and beef are tasty, yet simple, food. I had the bone-in pork loin which was unique in that it had the bone in, but quite flavorful. Our guest had rack of lamb which looked nicely cooked, and the trout, which she said was delicious (served with sauted red and green peppers on top.) My wife had the scallops which she liked. Dessert was a shared key lime pie, which we had had before. Delicious! Good place for good food and relaxation.
Sorry, while the food was good it was extremely overpriced.

We had a wonderful time at Indigo Crow the first time we went for our anniversary. We decided to take my in-laws back and the meal was mediocre. I ordered the grilled romaine salad, which was drowning in dressing to the point that the grilled romaine was soggy. It was inedible. I saw another grilled romaine salad go out while we were there, and it had a third of the dressing on it. I initially chalked it up to just not ordering the right thing or not knowing to order it with less dressing. The kicker came when we asked our server about dessert and wanted to see if something we had for our anniversary dinner was still available, a butter cake (our anniversary is the day before Valentines Day, so it had been a Valentine’s special and we benefited). She told us it had been a special but went back and told us there was still some in the freezer that could be warmed up. We expected that it wouldn’t be as good, since it was frozen and being reheated. We didn’t expect that it would have a burnt top and completely different taste or consistency...and that my MIL would find corn in it. That’s right, the “butter cake” was actually cornbread with a huge scoop of ice cream on top to cover it up. Wow.
The shrimp risotto was great. My husband ordered the filet which was one of the specials. He would not order it again. Grilled Salad was tasty too. Salad is plenty big to split 3 ways if pairing with an entree.

This is the second time we have experience issues with this restaurant. The first time I sent my steak back 3 times as it was over cooked. This time my wife ordered the sea bass special and asked for Brussels sprouts instead of asparagus. I asked to have the asparagus held. We both received asparagus. Also my steak was over cooked again. My wife had to send the fish back twice as it was undercooked. She also did not receive the polenta that was supposed to be with the meal. We will not go back to this resturant or refer it to our friends.
The food and service were excellent. We did not appreciate being seated in the bar area. The noise level was so high we couldn't even carry-on a conversation. For a special occasion, this was a real disappointment.
It was our first time there. Everyone enjoyed the evening. Food was delicious. A little surprised they were out of rack of lamb and pork tenderloin, both of which would have been ordered. Shrimp Risotto, paella, chicken all yummy. Loved the music the guitar player was playing and singing, but it was too loud. Looking forward to going again soon
We always have the mussels and they are delicious. This restaurant is becoming more and more consistent and good!
