Solid place we return to on a regular basis however this was the first time we made a reservation and when we arrived the hostess tried to seat us upstairs saying they had too many reservations. That is the entire point of making a reservation! Once I pushed and we got reseated downstairs it was great like usual and our waitress Bethany was amazing.
Trouble with waiters and kitchen marred our dinner. Neither of our two orders came out as requested and confirmed by the waiter. The salmon entree was over cooked and not edible. The trout entree was ok but the trout was mushy. Sides for both dishes were not what was ordered.
Our last time at Indigo was a year ago and we were reluctant to try it again. There is no value proposition here because of the quality.
Overall very satisfied with most aspects, particularly considering their very poor reports last year. Seems mgmt. now has ironed out all the kinks. Only issue from our perspective is it is a little over priced, so if you can get beyond that, you should have a great experience. Note, we were there on a Mon. night so no pressure on the staff which might be different on very busy nights.
Nice informal, casual atmosphere. Noise level suprizingly low. Food very good, extremely large portions. Tuna appetizer, octopus appetizer both outstanding. Service fantastic, our water friendly and knowledgeable. Vanilla cake dessert delicious. Overall a delightful , fun experience in an interesting town, Cave Creek. Would definitely keep on my go back list.
rib-eye Steak was very very very salty . Was better last visit.
Service and food was excellent, although a little pricy
Food was amazing and quite reasonable in cost to what was received. Will go back for sure.
This was a miss from the start. When we walked into the restaurant we were given the wrong menus and this was only discovered when we start to started make our order. We ordered wine and the wrong bottle (twice as expensive) was brought to us. One of us ordered fish and it was massively overcooked even though we had asked that it be no more than medium. They then told us they would need another 15 minutes to prepare a new meal while the other of us ate their meal. So, we just told them not to worry about the second meal. They made a good faith effort to make things better by bringing the second meal to us to take home and not charging for it but as a special occasion meal, this one was a pretty big bust.
They had trouble cooking lamb well done. It took three tries. The food was very good and service otherwise good.
Great time, great food, OUTSTANDING SERVICE, our server Sam was the BEST!!!!
Great food and nice ambiance for a friend and family dinner.
Great food. Awesome wait staff. Worth the trip.
Nothing spectacular here.
Filet was ok, mashed potatoes rocked, desert was blah (Flan) which they removed from the bill after letting them know of my disappointment.
Overall, prices charged do not match with the quality of food provided.
First time there, but definitely will not be our last. Everything we ordered was amazing.
Lovely happy hour. We were going to order more but got full. The brussel sprouts and steak kabobs were tender and delicious, the mussels and sausage were tasty and a bit spicy. Our drinks were special hand crafted concoctions. Very attentive service from everyone. We will be back! Love Chef Carlos’s creativity!
A lot of potential, but underwhelmed. Opened late. Short staffed. Manager should have been helping the staff. Two tables walked out. Kitchen got my order wrong and my daughters came after we were half finished with our meal. May give it another chance but won’t be at the top of my list.
We love Indigo Crow. Only wish you could order from upstairs and downstairs menus throughout the restaurant.
So...Indigo Crow is ok. It needs to be better. It's got an incredible location and really nice ambience. The service is consistently good (our waiter was great).
Here's the problem - I've never been to a restaurant that consistently doesn't have things available, especially the beers. Last visit, no IPA of Hefeweizen/Wheat Beer. This visit, a terrible IPA and no lagers or pilsners. They ran out of the pulled pork meat last visit, no bone in filet this visit. (NOTE: The restaurant comped an alternative, so as I said, the service is really good if not great).
The food could be better, although it's by no means bad. In the Cave Creek area though there's a lot of competition and I really want to see this restaurant do well, because it could be a total gem in the neighborhood.
We enjoyed the food but you don’t have enough staff to serve tables in a timely manner. Our server himself was good but it was obvious he had too many tables to wait on even on a Tuesday night. We were seated across from a table of 6 including a small child and they were finished before our meal arrived their table and the floor beneath the high chair were never cleaned off the entire time we were there so we were staring at a dirty table and floor during our meal. We had been forewarned about the service but decided to try for ourselves. Although the food was good, we will not return
Excellent food! We shared the pig wings for an appetizer and they were amazing! Both of us had
The two bone pork chop with hatch chili and cheddars mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. Absolutely delicious and very large portions. The only criticism would be the music. It felt like it was on a perpetual loop that got annoying. We will be back!
Sam our waiter was the icing on the cake. Great food and great service.
When we arrived at 5:30 PM, it was extremely cold. We asked the waiter if they might turn on the heat (it was 50 degrees outside) and he said he would, finally. There appeared to be only one waiter on staff, and services was spotty. The food was, as always, quite good. The seafood stew was terrific. All servings were plentiful and our group of four enjoyed the meal.
Food was outstanding. Service was over the top. Great atmosphere.
The Staff at Indigo Crow provided excellent service--very friendly and professional. All of our Entrees were prepared very well and tasted fabulous! Great service and great food made for a wonderful evening!
Excellent meals; a bit pricey but well prepared and presented.
Great service by Justin!! Cuisine above average but fell short of a home run. Scallops perfectly cooked but accompanying pasta soupy and over powered the scallops. CoHo salmon perfect!! Lamb hard to trim from the bone. Highlight was the Butter Cake with corn ice cream and the Key Lime cheese cake!!!
They handled a party of 10 with alacrity. The menu had changed since the last time we were there. You change for the better. Everyone like the food, especially the lamb chops
Our 1st visit and we’ll definitely return. Great food, appetizers...
Service was good and food was excellent!
Great location, ambiance, and the customer service was good and fast. The only reason I gave some areas a lesser score was because when I asked for a Chianti on the menu it was said it was not available even though it was on the menu. And the wine was very expensive. The hatch potatoes were delicious.
The waiter made it complete. Personable, quick, knew the menu perfectly. We are going back in two days!
This was our second visit to Indigo Crow with the new chef and menu. Both times the food has been great - when it finally showed up. That is the basic issue, the kitchen just can't seem to manage the timing. We had a table for four, and the restaurant was maybe a third full, but it took almost an hour from ordering to being served. The server was apologetic but this was clearly a kitchen problem. Our meals finally came and three were fantastic, but the fourth was room temperature at best.
Our first visit was a similar experience though not as drawn out. The food is great so I hope the kitchen gets it together because they'll never be able to keep up with a full house based on this performance.
Twice the salmon was over cooked
We went to Indigo Crow to celebrate our anniversary. The ambiance is nice and the service was acceptable but slow. The food is quite expensive for what you get. My wife had a shrimp risotto that only had 4 shrimp. I had porcini mushroom encrusted scallops. There were only 3 scallops and they tasted burnt.
The waitress asked how we like the meal and turned and left as I started to tell her. Obviously she didn't really card.
I would have expected a complimentary dessert to recognize our anniversary, but nothing was offered .
Sam was amazing he was by far one of the best servers I’ve ever had the please of being waited on by. He was profession but he was able to joke and enjoy our company the entire night, he would be an asset to any one lucky enough to have him employees. His knowledge of the menu and ingredients was amazing and his recommendations were spot on. Extremely high class and they held an fantastic standard of dinning that would exceed those high end locations in central Scottsdale. I have been recommending that everyone go and try this place.
Delicious! Ordered a variety of items and everything was excellent! Will definitely go again the next time we’re in town.
Waitress Alicia was excellent. Food was iffy. Lamb and pork shank was a little gamey and steak underdone.
The Brie appetizer was amazing!
Waitstaff is not properly trained. We were told that many of the items on the menu were no longer offered. Our appetizer was served burnt. We sent it back and the owner came out with the same burned appetizer turned upside down and looked at us like we should love it... when we refused it again he told us his food wasn't for us and stormed off. So we paid for our wine and left.
Everything about the place is excellent. The food, the service, the ambience, the decor, all first class.
Have been there many times and certainly will go there again, when vacationing in the area?
My husband and I love apps and drinks here, especially the happy hour...it can't be beat. I've given Indigo Crow a 5 star review in my TripAdvisor account.
However, we took my husband's brother and wife here for his birthday and he was served bad trout, I mean BAD, it even stunk! None of us could believe the chef actually prepared it. What made matters worse was the manager never came over to address it. The waitress took it away, apologized profusely and asked what else he'd like to order. In the end...the only thing they did was delete the price of the BAD fish from the tab. So all in all, close to a $250 tab and we were left embarrassed :(
