   Amazing food ..always freshest and best quality meats and seafood. Great and innovative preparations. Menu is on the small side , which I find refreshing...makes choices easier!

   Second time here and food was wonderful again. The burger was outstanding and the Pork chop was terrific. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Slight drawback was the darkness in the small room we were in. Still best dining we've had in Sarasota.

   Indigenous is a rare treasure, hidden blocks away from downtown Sarasota with the most incredible food you will ever taste My party of 4 was greeted by a very gracious hostess who escorted us to a beautiful outside table we had reserved. Then, for the next 2 hours, Adam expertly attended to our every need including adjusting some of the outside curtains when the setting sun warmed our table. But, the real star of the show is the food. I am a "food snob" and I am completely blown away every time I eat here (the menu changes weekly). This is not just great food, this is a food experience you won't find anywhere else. The Roasted Mushrooms were an explosion of tastes that I didn't want to end. The Cheshire Pork Chop was 2" thick and prepared to a perfect temperature (between medium-rare and medium) so it was juicy throughout. The Red Lentil Tofu was plated so perfectly, you felt bad digging into it with your fork. The Redfish was beautiful, tasty and prepared perfectly. Despite all of us cleaning our plates, we couldn't pass up dessert and we're glad we didn't. You will never taste anything more unique or more satisfying after a big meal than their Orange Creamsicle ice cream in a coconut white chocolate shell. This is fine dining at its best and is not to be missed whenever you're in Sarasota.

   Food is outstanding and original. Ambiance is charming and comfortable. Great music in the background, servers are friendly but professional and knowledgeable about the food.

   Wine by the glass overpriced--small pour. Menu very limited--need more choices. Over air-conditioned--downright chilly.

   Always excellent. We had the mushroom soup, the beignets, the smoked Troup paye and the mushroom appetizers. Their hamburger is beyond delicious. Love this restaurant.

   What a gem of a restaurant! Has a cozy, romantic feel. My husband and I went for a date night on our vacation and were not disappointed! Everything on the menu is local, seasonal and beautifully prepared. I ordered “My Uncle’s Burger,” and it was the best, juiciest burger I have had in years. It needed nothing! Great service, excellent drinks menu. Exceptional all around.

   Everything was wonderful. The menu is different from other places and everything we had was amazing. We can’t decide what part of the meal we liked the best ❤️

    Indigenous is my favorite Sarasota restaurant. I think the food is outstanding and the wine list is interesting and not over priced. It took about 5 minutes or so for our server to visit our table. She was very nice and answered our questions. The food followed fairly quickly and we enjoyed our meal.
