India Oven - Citrus Heights
India Oven is a great spot for delicious Indian cuisine. Authentic food in a clean well -kept facility. Quiet unless there is an event next door where the parking lot will fill up and you can check out the beautiful ballroom events. Service is good - reliable. If you are looking for yummy Indian food, check out India Oven. Very nice people work there as well! Sonny bartends and makes a nice pre-dinner cocktail.
Food is great but a bit high-priced. The place is always mostly empty when we show up, which makes for a bit of an awkward atmosphere. And though service is always courteous, I wouldn’t call it warm or friendly. This last time we went, they put a sign on the door after we entered saying they were closing an hour early. As the sign was put up after our entry, we couldn’t have known about it. Instead of saying something to us, they just started breaking down tables and moving chairs 10 feet away from us as we talked at our table (making us feel unwanted). We had to ask if they were closed, to which they said yes. It was strange.
Their butter chicken is devine!
GREAT food. Be prepared to wait but it’s well worth it.
We loved the lamb curry and a chicken dish, so delicious. The basmati rice was cooked perfect and smelled awesome. We tried the garlic naan bread and even though I avoid wheat/gluten it had no ill effects for me and it was tasty! We're definitely returning.
Always love this place. The service is very good and the food is delicious. We come here often.
Servers were extremely slow no one had a sense of urgency.
It was a great Mother's day experience.
White table clothes and very attentive servers. Food was excellent. Chicken soup and Mango Chicken were a hit with my family.
Great food. Awkward, unpolished, error-prone service always the weak link.
We keep coming back. Food delicious and great staff. Best Indian food in town.
