Great location and infrastructure. Service was pretty average, food was terrible. We can recommend though, the polpette (meatballs), they were delicious and resembled real italian food. The other plates we had, were FAR from being italian. The Agnolotti were huge and stuffed with some sort of white gooey cheese and only 4 little pieces of pork shoulder swimming in the tomato sauce. The lasagna was heavy and extremely seasoned, the bucatini flavor was something we couldn't describe, but for sure was not carbonara, and the fettuccine Alfredo had shrimps and was spicy. The pizza looked good but we didn't try it.
Overall very good. Pasta dishes were excellent. Pizza was OK. Charcuterie board was very average.
Loved Chris! So personable, great customer service.
Wait staff was super friendly and attentive. Sister and I weren’t terribly hungry, so we each had a Caesar salad and shared a pizza. Cannolis for dessert, cocktails with dinner. Everything was delicious!
We had Max as our server, and he was absolutely fantastic!!! All of his recommendations for food were so delicious, and he made sure the wine we picked also paired well with what we were eating! Overall, we will definitely be returning to Indaco regularly!
Having just recently moved here from NYC, I was craving good Italian food. Indaco did not disappoint. First off, it is a really cool space, the service was excellent and the food was incredible. We opted for a pizza and a pasta dish, and shared. I recommend making a reservation. The only downside is, given the wide open space and well-deserved crowd, it is noisy, so depending on your table, conversation would be more challenging than a quieter place. But the noise does contribute to an overall very positive vibe. I will definitely be going back.
The food was subpar and the service was slow.
Well balanced flavors. Loved the use of herbs. Good portion size. Very tasty.
This rustic Italian restaurant was a refreshing change from many of the established restaurants in Charlotte. My wife and I were very pleased with our selection both for quality and quantity. I highly recommend fried artichokes as an appetizer, they were a first for us and were delicious with the butter garlic seasoning and Parmesan finish. Our entrees were excellently prepared, mine a shrimp and black pasta creation and hers a mushroom, goat cheese, garlic combination. Since the occasion was our 54th anniversary celebration, they graciously offered one of their signature desserts as a gift to take home. We both ordered dessert, hers a chocolate soufflé and mine strawberry pie with gelato. Service was top of the line and our server was very knowledgeable and forthcoming with recommendations. One of the pleasantries was the timing of his visits to our table so that we were free to have our conversation uninterrupted. He also suggested that we often check their menu on line because they were going to be adding a lot of items. This restaurant located in the new upscale “ Southend” area of Charlotte is one not to be missed if you are in the area.
Got a great pizza and two soft drinks for less than $20.
They were definitely understaffed and it showed. Long wait for drinks. Our server was sweet when he checked in on us, but he didn’t seem to have much time too. Maybe it’s our fault for having high expectations. We had heard such wonderful things about how high quality their service was, and we found it slow and average at best.
Food was yummy.
Drinks are great but a little too pricey!! The lady that greeted us at the front (looked like the manager) was not the friendliest and very bubbly. Not a good first impression but our waiter was good. Had pasta, artichoke app and meat/cheese plate and everything was great!
They were short staffed. So the menu was light (no specials) and the service from the bar was slow (only 1 bartender). Our waiter Kevin was awesome - hope they can add to their staff soon!
I met this really cool girl at my apartment complex and she agreed to go on a date with me but I didn’t know if she knew if it was a date but turns out she knew and it was really fun we had pizza
Had a reservation and they quickly seated us started off with some drinks. The only thing I felt was kind of weird was you couldn’t order appetizers then your food you had to order everything at once, but that was not really a big deal we just had to figure out what we wanted quickly. Service was great our waiter was so nice, so personable. Everything came out perfect! it was fun to look up the menu because most of us didn’t know what the words meant, so trying to figure out what we want it was really fun. Their cocktails are out of this world!!! I will be definitely grabbing drinks with the girls here & this would also be a perfect date spot (maybe not a first date) or some special occasion
Chad was an excellence server, definitely made our anniversary amazing!
We’ve had better Italian food in Charlotte. The sauce was a little too sweet, the pizza a little too doughy. In addition, it’s a bit pricey (we haven’t eaten out in a while, so maybe the prices are the new normal.
Could not recommend more! Place was awesome and food was fantastic! Will be back a lot!
We had a wonderful girls night for a friends birthday. The food was amazing! Ambiance was great too! Our waiter was AWESOME!
Great ambiance for dinner with quieter seating upstairs. Pizza is delicious!
Great location and really cool ambiance. Our appetizer and drinks were good but the pasta entrees were meh. Mine had too much pepper which overpowered everything else. Overall we don’t feel like it wasn’t worth what we paid.
We visited Indaco on a Saturday night and highly recommend sitting outside if people-watching is fun, because this location is great for that. The menu seemed limited with not many options. I was also surprised there was not a side salad option, just a full price salad to go along with my main course. Overall we really enjoyed out experience here.
We booked the reservation same day and arrived just a few minutes late, but were ushered to our table immediately.
Jess arrived with waters and the drink menu and directed us to the QR for the menu.
We ordered drinks (Summer Spritz which was divine and an old fashioned) and then our appetizers and dinner - olives, focaccia, fried artichokes, potato pizza and the bucatini. They were ALL well done and tasted amazing.
Our second round of drinks we asked Jess to defer to the bartender and were delighted with the suggestions.
Jess was absolutely wonderful, she kept an eye on the waters and inquired about the food without hovering. We will definitely return soon! Thank you Jess!
Atmosphere and drinks were great! We had a delicious cocktail at the bar, served by fabulous bartenders. Got a table outside which was perfect! Shared a delicious bottle of wine and had a great server. Only thing a bit lacking was the actual taste of the food. Nothing terrible, but meatball appetizer was lukewarm and crab pasta was odd. Will be back for cocktails and wine menu!
We asked to switch tables - server deferred to hostess very strongly, certainly didn’t seem interested in helping.
Food was very so so, wine was good! Didn’t meet the hype for me.
Disappointed that they had a very limited menu. Ordered a Margarita Pizza that was not as good as some frozen (Tony's) pizza that we buy in the grocery store. Pizza was pretty tasteless. AND they were OUT of ice tea. They don't serve grated cheese or hot peppers, you have to ask for it.
Our server Chris was attentive, polite, provided great suggestions. The food was delicious, especially the artichokes...wow! I would 100% return
We had exceptional service during our dinner at Indaco. My husband had a drink at the bar before I arrived. The bartender was incredibly personal and knowledgeable. We were seated and our server was stellar. Made great recommendations for food. Extraordinarily attentive (but not too much). Will go back for the service. Food was good. Would have liked more options for meat-non pasta.
Sat on the patio with my dog and my daughter . Michael was excellent, he had great recommendations, the food was so good.
We had fried artichokes and the margarita pizza but the tiramisu was epic!! Definitely was a great experience.
This was my second time at Indaco and I loved it just as much as the first! They are quick, the food is great, and the ambiance is wonderful. Walking distance from so many other great restaurants/ bars.
One of my favorite spots to eat in Charlotte! Food is phenomenal and creative - it is so much more than your typical American Italian restaurant. The artichokes appetizer is delectable and a must-get! Pastas are large and delicious. Cocktails are awesome.
I've been here several times, but most recently came in to celebrate my birthday and they made it such a nice, special evening. We finished our evening with the tiramisu and it was definitely one of the best I've had.
best pizza i've ever had. HIGHLY recommend taking a trip here for dinner! can't wait to go back!
Kevin was our server and he was extremely educated of the dishes and beverages offered. He made sure we always had topped off drinks and anything else we needed. What a a amazing meal and experience at Indaco, I can’t wait to go again!
Food was excellent - very attentive service. Comfortable atmosphere. Loved the music too !!
Favorite restaurant in CLT! Best Brussels sprouts and love the cauliflower GF pizzas!
The focaccia bread was so phenomenal. It is definitely a must order!
Cute place focused on pasta and pizza. Very simple, limited menu. Two pasta dishes we had reminded us of ones we had in Italy. Fettuccine had gait cheese and mushrooms. Very rich and flavorful. Bucatini was simple
With black pepper and super thinly slice salted pork.‘this let the pasta shine, rather than sauce. This isn’t your typical American spaghetti and meatballs or lasagna kind of place. The sauces were simple, but great. Pasta was the star-homemade and delicious. Pizzas looked great and were huge. Good wine list. Our server, Chris was excellent and so pleasant. We’ll be back!
Indaco is the type of restaurant that needs at least a second visit because of its yummy menu. This is Italian food at it's best, it's fresh and authentic. Located in Southend the restaurant is bright, open and airy with outside seating available too. The L-shaped bar seats at least ten people and behind the bar are three floor to ceiling windows. The menu is at a first glance simple; antipasti, pizza and pasta. There are 5 pasta dishes and as you read the description you realize you need to come back, because you want all 5. I can recommend the tagliatelle and the black pepper fettuccine. Two very different dishes but both amazing, rich and unique. For a starter Indaco has the best fried artichoke dish I've ever had. The wine list won't disappoint either and if you kick off with a cocktail the house Mule (on tap) is perfect for a warm summer evening.
We were looked after by Chris on our first visit and his service only made our visit better.
What a great place.
