Genuine Italian flavors fill an airy, modern space accented by lime-wash, white brick, blonde butcher block and silver lighting pendants. An antique pizza peel dating to the 1850s hangs on the wall, portraying Indaco’s dedication to authenticity. The restaurant boasts a craft cocktail program featuring Italian classics such as the Negroni and amaro on tap and housemade Italian sodas. This concept introduces traditional Italian eating to Upper King’s booming, fine-dining scene. A 2,900 square foot restaurant, Indaco offers 100 seats inclusive of the bar and patio.

Indaco Ratings and Reviews
From the time we walked in until the time we left, the staff treated us like royalty! Our server Bob was the best, answering all our questions, making recommendations, sharing favorites, and bringing us tastings of various wines. A truly spectacular evening for us. Thank you so much!!
I went to Indaco for a date night and it was an amazing time. The overall aesthetic and lighting made the reastaurant look gorgeous. The bests part was the food (of course!). Their menu is varied and full of delicious options. I am definitely going back and recommend everyone to try it out!
The fresh pasta was absolutely delicious; we also had the prosciutto appetizer which was fantastic but the proportions were a little off; loads of meat but a small amount of cheese and fruit. No worries, we took the leftovers home! Our waiter was extremely well informed on the menu and all the different dishes as well as drinks. It's a lovely place for a meal.
We had reservations at 8:45pm and were still waiting 30 mins later to be seated so we ended up eating at the bar. Not what we expected. Service was fair at best. Not as attentive as I would have liked. Pizza crust was almost burnt but the octupus was incredible. It was extremely loud. I would not recommend for a romantic dinner. If you want to go with a group of people and be loud, this is the place to do it.
Having dined at Indaco a few times now, I was fairly disappointed in this last visit. Food was good, but not anything out of the ordinary. More displeasing, though, was the service. The server seemed rushed and generally disinterested. I don't believe at any point he asked us if we were enjoying our meal or if everything was okay. Hostess had the same demeanor as our server. Too many other establishments in Charleston that serve extraordinary food and have superb service. Not sure that I will return after this last experience.
Very, very pleasant experience. Atmosphere was very cozy and inviting. The service was delightful, and our server knew exactly what she was talking about and able to explain all of the entrees very well that made us very excited! You could tell that the ingredients were very fresh and very well prepared. This was our favorite meal while in Charleston and we ate a lot :)
We unfortunately did not have the best experience at Indaco. We were very disappointed as we had been recommended to the restaurant. The night we dined at Indaco we had several people in our party who did not enjoy their meals and several others that thought it was just ok. I'm not sure whether we just caught it on an off night but from our first experience we would not recommend it.
Moved from the northeast and have been on the hunt for good pizza. Indaco, by far, best pizza we’ve found. Homemade pasta dishes looked great, but we only ordered pizza. Margarita, sausage, and spicy type pizza - all delicious. Highly recommend. Service was awesome. Wishing I could remember our servers name. Brought a chocolate surprise dessert for my daughters 15th birthday. Must have mentioned it on yelp when I made the reservation. He really added to our night and was super chill and easy going. Great, fun, and delicious spot!
Seated immediately at a nice spot by window; server was excellent. Food was okay but not outstanding by any means. I can get better Italian food on Johns Island. Steak tartare presentation was weird-I was expecting classic presentation so it was disappointing, could not taste the meat because of the ingredients it was drowned in. Almond budino was horribly sweet. Despite a lovely server, I would not go back.
It was a truly spectacular experience for me and my girlfriend. The only hiccup through our whole experience was when we arrived they didn't appear to have our Open Table reservation in their system. Once all that was sorted out, we couldn't have asked for anything better. The staff was top notch, the food was delectable, and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. Thanks to everyone at Indaco!
Have enjoyed Indaco many times but do not recommend it for Restaurant Week. We waited over 35 minutes for our reservation after the hostess told us our table would be ready in 5-10 minutes. Clearly they had overbooked. Was also disappointed in the steak tartare, which I've had many times other places. Didn't have much taste and the bread wasn't toasted much , so it came off as a soggy open faced sandwich appetizer. Very disappointing.
Have been several times for various occasions-date night, girls' dinner, friend's birthday. Perfect restaurant for all occasions. Food is amazing and priced fairly. Decent wine list and cocktails. Plenty of options for vegetarians, as well! Do be sure to make a reservation.
