I had some truly delicious meals during a four day visit to Charleston. This meal, while not awful, just didn’t compare. I had much better Italian food at Le Farfalle. The ricotta gnocchi here aren’t nearly as good as those at FIG. The service was a bit slow and inattentive.
Our server was very gracious and knowledgeable. Food was delicious! We will be back!
Posting this after the second time I've been here.
The first time I visited Indaco it was with a large party for a bachelorette and they exceeded all expectations with great food and service! We got the family style meal option and it was more than enough food and every item was great! Bring your colleagues, family and friends!
4 months later I took my foodie boyfriend here for his birthday and again the food/service was amazing! Especially the manager Trevor, who went above and beyond for great service, and he certainly knows his wine and food! In addition Maggie was great! 100 percent recommend if you're in town! You can't go wrong with any option on the menu, especially the black spaghetti! Indaco is definitely a hidden gem! We will be back soon!
Order the tasting menu for the table, you won’t be disappointed. Everything the server brought out was wonderful. Loved the vibe and the patio at Indaco. Our server was spot on, friendly and very knowledgeable of all the food he brought out. Only comment is, we wished the food wouldn’t have been brought out so fast. We will definitely be back.
Expect fabulous food, wonderful wine and superb service... you will not be disappointed. We dine here often ( at least once a week) , it’s that GREAT!
I loved the vibe. Next time would definitely sit at the bar. Happy Hour ONLY at the bar. Bib salad good but very spicy dressing. Need more salad choices. Mushroom pizza was good . Interesting wine list but very limited by the glass and pricy.
As locals we like to try all the great restaurants in town. There is amazing food In Charleston and Indaco is at the top of our list!
Indaco is our favorite downtown restaurant. It is consistently awesome. The crispy artichokes are our favorites. Service is always outstanding and the ambiance is fun, but not too noisy.
As a native Charlestonian I am often overwhelmed by all of the restaurant choices here. Indaco is, in my opinion, the best restaurant in Charleston. We always order the Chef’s Choice where a three course meal is brought out. This provides an incredible sampling of full portion appetizers, main dishes and desserts for a great price. Our server was professional but not intrusive. We took her suggestion for an amazing wine. Be sure to make a reservation for this top notch experience!
Good food, vibrant atmosphere, awesome staff...just great!
Excellent place, great food, great service, great staff. It was a smash hit.
Great meeting place. Great pizza , pasta and appetizers . Great cocktails and good wine selection.
Pleasant and professional staff.
Great modern Italian spot. Highly recommend. wonderful food
Great location/vibe, but I found the food to be mediocre at best. My pasta was too salty, my husband's gnocchi was kinda tough and the crab was overpowering. My mother's pizza had an overpowering pickled onion topping as well. I've been here before and had better experiences, so I'm hoping it was just an off night for Indaco.
Tried Indaco for the first time moving our daughter out from College of Charleston.... she likes Italian, so this seemed like a good pick...was able to walk there from her dorm... ambiance seemed fine... we had Adam as our server.... we knew they made their own pasta, so we expected it might take a little longer than usual... we ordered the fried artichokes with champagne sauce - which was very good (one in our party is allergic to the normal walnut sauce),,, the artichokes came out at a reasonable time, but we then had to wait another 35 minutes for our entree's to come out... at no point did Adam come by to give us any explanation on this... rather, we tried to get his attention, a few times and he walked right on past out table without acknowledging us... I was just about to see the manager/hostess and then our entree's arrived... when they did I asked for another club soda - which never arrived until all of us had finished our meals... all meals were terrific, though I will say portions were on the smallish side... despite that, a couple of us did take home small portions, but we had to remind Adam after paying for our bill that we wanted the take out items - which he had to retrieve... not sure we would attempt again...
They double charged for my meal and didn’t offer any sort of compensation for their mistake. The food was fine. My dish was a little fishy.
Thank you for your valuable feedback. My sincerest apologies on being charged twice - please contact me directly at 843.727.1228 and we can most certainly amend the double charge. Trevor Stough GM Indaco
Waited for over 15 minutes for a table with a reservation. We ordered pizza and risotto, neither one was very good. I would not recommend or return.
Thank you for your valuable feedback. I will be contacting you directly. Trevor Stough GM Indaco
This was our first visit, and it was excellent. The menu was interesting, but not inaccessible. Our waitress, Dani, was helpful and cheerful. We’ll be back!
We had a girls night to celebrate a couple babies on the way! Sat at a high top and had a great evening. Water glasses and drinks were filled all night. So much food- and it all was delicious!!!
Food was amazing, so flavorful! Our server, Adam, was fantastic. He was friendly, attentive and made outstanding recommendations from drinks to appetizers to meals and even dessert. We had a fantastic evening and enjoyed our meals so much. We will recommend to others and return soon! Thanks for a great meal and wonderful experience.
Overall a pleasant experience . Food good to very good.
Service professional . No complaints.
Nice bar happy hour specials. Happy hour st bar only.
Varied Italian menu . Try artichoke appetizer
We had a great meal at Indaco, starting with the incredible bread and good quality olive oil. Our entrees were delicious and we indulged in a wonderful strawberry crostada for dessert. So glad we came.
The perception of value for the money probably depends on what you order,, but at our table the quality was uneven, service was perfunctory,, no bread served at outset, and while I'd like to give it another try when I'm back in Charleston, I wasn't as satisfied as the online presentation would lead one to expect. Wine was also over-priced for the variety by the glass.
Maggie was our server and she was absolutely fantastic. She was extremely knowledgeable and made awesome suggestions. She was very patient and accommodating. If you visit Indaco, ask for Maggie!
Great food, great service, wonderful experience.
We had a wonderful meal at Indaco. This was our first time eating here and we will certainly return.
Great food, service and atmosphere. Best meal out we had on this trip to Charleston.
This restaurant has amazing food, excellent service, good size portions and reasonable prices. Trevor is very good at what he does.
Forget those stuffy phoney expensive restaurants. I highly recommend Indaco.
Indaco is our favorite restaurant in Charleston. Service is first rate and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The chef, Michael Holler, is thoughtful and inventive in his cuisine. The general manager, Trevor Stough, will make sure that you are well cared for. For the most part, the bar and service staff have been stable and return visits are greeted with hugs all around. Food can only be so good and there is a lot of good food in Charleston. Indaco has the whole experience: great food, great ambience, and great service.
I dined with a couple friends here for the first time. The food was very good. Service was slow. We waited to order dessert for over 30 minutes and at that point we just asked for our bill. It was very loud on the patio and inside- not the place to go for conversation!
Our table for four near the window was lovely, and we enjoyed attentive service. Though the restaurant was busy, we were able to converse easily. All our choices were delicious, and the burrata app with sweet potatoes and hazelnuts is especially top notch.
This is one our our weekly go to for not only fabulous food but wonderful service as well!!!
We have been here manytimes and it is always great!
Great restaurant, enjoyed very much! Would highly recommend.
The food was incredible and the service was excellent. Will definitely be back!
Lovely little Italian bistro
Small menu which I take as a good sign fresh non fried food in the Deep South is hard to come by would go again .
Fun and Delicious
Our server gave us recommendations which were excellent. Our dinner was fantastic. Didn’t feel rushed at all. Great place!
We loved this restaurant. I would give it it high praise in all areas. The service was friendly and attentive. The wine list was very Italian which made for an interesting challenge to pick just the right one. A taste or two made choosing much easier. The food was outstanding! The mussels were shelled for me and placed in a jar of delicious olive oil and spice combination. The beef tartare was not run of the mill. It was excellent. The meatballs (polpette) were perfectly prepared accompanied by a wonderful sauce. The margherita pizza was also great and big enough to take so to go and the fried artichokes were a great way to start the meal. Everything was carefully prepared, a twist from ordinary, and filled with flavor. Additionally we dined on Sunday evening so wines were half off. We got a really nice bottle for about half the price. I can't wait to go back.
Good overall experience. Bridal party next to us was noisy, but that is to be expected . Waitress was excellent. Food was good. We would go back.
