Genuine Italian flavors fill an airy, modern space accented by lime-wash, white brick, blonde butcher block and silver lighting pendants. An antique pizza peel dating to the 1850s hangs on the wall, portraying Indaco’s dedication to authenticity. The restaurant boasts a craft cocktail program featuring Italian classics such as the Negroni and amaro on tap and housemade Italian sodas. This concept introduces traditional Italian eating to Upper King’s booming, fine-dining scene. A 2,900 square foot restaurant, Indaco offers 100 seats inclusive of the bar and patio.

Indaco Ratings and Reviews
Were in town for the afternoon, so we went early, 5:30 on Sunday. Service was attentive and informative. Because the crowd was still small, the noise level was low. Wine selection was very good and the pour was generous. We had crostini and sausage pizza. Yum yum. I don’t know why it has been so long between visits. If the noise level has kept you away, just go early, but go. We had a lovely evening.
Food was good. Even though they weren’t crowded the service was mediocre. We were not offered the complimentary bread, had to ask another waiter for it. Asked our own waiter for butter to go with the bread. He stood around talking with his friends in the back for 10 minutes before bringing it to the table. By the time we got it , the butter was half melted and separating. I’m only saying that I would have a friend give it a shot as the food was good and maybe they would have a better service experience. I would not return based upon the service we received.
It was my boyfriend’s birthday and I wanted it to be a special night...Indaco did not disappoint! The atmosphere, the food, the wine selection were all amazing. Even the music they played were all artists we loved. I was able to call ahead and request a special dessert to come out at the end of dinner and we highly enjoyed their dark chocolate mousse with ice cream on the side. We will definitely come back!
Another nice meal at Indaco. Nate, our server, did an excellent job of pacing the meal for us. A slight hiccup with the hostess, however, who tried to put us at a high top in the middle of the room -- not our cup of tea, especially with many open tables initially. Overall, the food is innovative and good. The kitchen does not try to take on too much so the quality of preparation is very nice. Try Indaco for a different Italian experience (order something other than the pizzas, which are good but not distinctive). Can be loud and exuberant on some nights so judge your evening accordingly. If you want quiet conversation, go elsewhere and save Indaco for when you are in the mood for a casual, energetic environment. We will continue keep Indaco on our A list of Charleston restaurants.
As usual Indaco was great! Fabulous treatment of every single dish. The waitstaff was attentive but not intrusuve. Only thing I wish as different was the noise level. It was as expected but with an 87 year old, it was a bit loud. I did not request any special seating so if that is an option for people it might be worth it. We all had a great time none-the-less!
I LOVE Indaco, the staff and the food. I am such a foodie, and as much as my husband and I eat out, Indaco is our standard, go-to restaurant because we know we will always, always have a great meal. The appetizers are all excellent. The burrata changes a lot--as does their whole menu--but every preparation has been a winner. The pizzas are creative and so good. In the summer, get the sweet corn pizza when they have it, but warning that it's addictive, and you'll want it every night. The pastas are their staple. My husband gets the black pepper tagliatelle every time, and I try different things, with the cavatelli cacio y pepe as my current favorite. Get the three-course menu. You will never regret it.
We have eaten at this restaurant multiple times. We had a reservation through Open Table for an early hour so we could get a good table. We were given a terrible table and only when we declined and turned to leave did we get a suitable table. There were plenty of good open tables available during the course of our meal.
Not sure we will return.
Casual but upscale, Indaco has excellent food and our server was friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the food. We had a delicious caesar salad, followed by one of their homemade pastas and then the rib eye. Although the rib eye was delicious, I think they are more known for their pasta dishes. It was a very enjoyable experience.
