Located on Charleston's Upper King Street, Indaco (Italian for "indigo") serves rustic Italian cuisine. Wood-fired pizzas, hand-crafted pastas, housemade salami and cured sausages fill the restaurant's menu which can be enjoyed family-style or a la carte. With community tables, an open kitchen, and a comfortable atmosphere, Indaco can accommodate 100 guests for a casual night of food and drinks. The wine list is focused on affordable Italian varietals, the Negroni cocktail is on tap, and the fresh sodas are made in-house. The massive wooden doors on Upper King Street are your first indication that Indaco is different from the typical Charleston restaurant. Rustic details continue inside with butcherblock tables, lime-wash walls, and white brick.     Great service and food. Manager welcomed us and recognized we had been there before. Even got a free salad to try. One of the best Italian restaurants in Charleston.

    The wife wanted Italian for hee birthday dinner and this was absolutely the spot. The red snapper was great and the rest of the table had pizza which was epic as well.

    The staff was attentive and prompt with all forms of service. We have not tried Indaco before, but what we did try was great. The meatballs were an amazing appetizer, and the Margherita pizza was wonderful. Food came out quickly for a busy Friday night. Reservations recommended

    Overall the experience was great. We had an amazing waitress, Sophia. Loved the atmosphere. The food tasted delicious, just a small portion. Was hungry after finishing.

    The server was extremely welcoming and the ambiance was exactly what we had hoped for - cozy, upscale but not pretentious. The decor and lighting were perfect. We each had a pasta dish and they were on par with the best meals we had when we visited Italy. If I lived in the area we would certainly make this our go-to spot for date night. Price was very reasonable given the quality of the food. Tiramisu was delicious too. Can’t think of a single thing we would change. We are here for a few nights and already made a reservation for another meal.

    I love Indaco for all meals, but haven’t been to their brunch in a while. I introduced a friend to the delicious brunch, and was reminded why I love it so much! I always get the eggs in purgatory, and a peach mimosa. The staff are efficient, courteous, and helpful.

    The food and service were fabulous! We enjoyed the Fall Squash and Cavatelli for dinner and the “donuts” for dessert! Plenty of food for two people.

    The food was awesome! Some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. My wife had the butternut squash ravioli and loved it. We would highly recommend.

    We had not been here in a long time but we are sure glad it’s back on our list of favorites. We started with the Boulevadier cocktail and it was awesome. For a starter we split the Tagliatelle and the shared two pizzas, the Sausage and the the Bianca. Everything was very good and our server was perfect.

    Our waiters were stellar, knew the food well and how to present it. Our main waiter was Fawn and she was great. The food was carefully prepared and excellent with plenty to satisfy our appetites! Great wine list.

    To put it simply, this was the best restaurant and experience we have ever experienced. The wait staff was amazing. We got to spend time at the bar prior to our reservations, which still continued the excellent service. We have been to many restaurants and several very high-end ones, and none of them compared in quality to Indaco. The food was fresh, tasted authentic, and came with a great price point for the quality of food/experience. I would recommend Indaco to anyone and everyone I know.

    Dinner was fantastic! The specials menu featured white truffle - which was a great surprise treat! Out service was outstanding and the waiter was extremely knowledgeable on the menu. We had a reservation and were seated immediately.
