It was our anniversary dinner. They surprised us with prosecco once we sat down and overall gave phenomenal service. It’s easily become one of our favorite Charleston restaurants!
We enjoyed a restaurant week fixed price menu. Indaco did not scale back on the portions or selections for this event- an excellent value. The food was great the service was outstanding. I would highly recommend this restaurant
Celebrating our anniversary we had made reservations because we had wanted some good Italian food. The write ups where great so we wanted to try it. Disappointed with the food. Why can’t a restaurant just have good original Italian dishes, being different is not always better, go back to basics.
Love this place!!!
Everything was amazing!! Especially Trevor the manager!!
Everything was very delicious!! Our table of 4 had ordered items with intention to share, but even then we had leftovers or intentionally left room for the next course. However, the server was very quick to take our plates away and never asked if we were finished. When we were able to stop him and ask for the food boxed, it never came back to the table.
Excellent Choice wonderful food and excellent staff it was such an enjoyable evening. Restaurant week values were definitely great!
I would love to give this place more than two stars. It had an A for its health rating so I was excited to try it out. AND our hotel concierge recommended it. Let's see... Where do I begin:
1. They seat us near the window at the front of the restaurant where the door is constantly opening and closing. The ledge lining the window was incredibly dirty and there was visible hair all on it. Clearly hadn't been cleaned in a while as our reservation was at 5:45 and the restaurant opens at 5. Not to mention the fly that was buzzing around our table.
2. When my husband sat down he immediately noticed his fork was dirty. I checked mine... yup, mine was dirty too.
3. I asked for a hot cup of water with lemon. They brought me FOUR cups of hot water because every single one of them had dirt particles at the bottom. Even the waiter was embarrassed by it and apologized. I felt bad for him because there was really not much more he could do. He poured me a glass of water in another cup but no thanks at that point. I was already suspect.
4. Then, both of our small plates were dirty. Like does the dishwasher not work here? This was disgusting to have OLD food particles on your plate.
5. I wanted to see if I could get my dish to be a little creamier with the pesto sauce. But the answer was no because the chef doesnt make modifications often. I respect that but.... after items 1 - 4, I was over it.
6. Also, the black napkins were dingy and stained.
We left the waiter a nice tip because he really was kind through it all. And the manager did leave me a card that said I could come back for dinner on the house. But I don't live in Charleston and if I ever come back, I can guarantee you, I will not be making a pit stop at Indaco. I'm sure after my experience, they wouldn't want to see me anyway.
Best of luck during your visit to Indaco... and may the odds be ever in your favor.
Loved the place! Food was delicious (black spaghetti with shrimp and grilled octopus).
Spectacular service and delicious food. The best black spaghetti I’ve had. And the Aperol Spritz was divine!
Great food, service and ambiance. We loved the ceasar salad that we split and the Agnolotti. Great wine list as well. Would definitely recommend!
Great service & food! We love this place!
Best place ever. The food is consistently delicious. If you order too much, it reheats well too.
The food was amazing! We had the prosciutto app and margarita flatbread! Staff was fast and friendly! Can’t wait to go back!!
Air conditioning must have been broken!! But that didn’t stop us from having an awesome meal, great drinks and a fun time. Will definitely be back
I have not eaten at every restaurant in Charleston, but Indaco May just be the best. Chef Holler never disappoints! We have been, and will continue to be back over and over again!
All 6 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals, Black Spaghetti, Pork Chop and Black Pepper Tagliatelle to name a few. Service was excellent. Desserts were delicious. I thought food prices were comparable but the drinks were on the high side.
We had a great dinner at Indaco, everything we had was delicious. The fried artichokes were so delicious, would get a large and eat that for dinner, amazing! The meatballs were great, the tortellati, the pizza and the catch of the day all fabulous too! Will be going back for sure.
AH-mazing! Food to get emotional about.
The food and service were amazing! Loved all of it!
I traveled around Italy for 3 weeks this past June. Indaco is authentic italian and the best in Charleston!
Excellent service and food!! A little pricy but well worth it.
The appetizers were excellent! The apple pie pastry dessert was heavenly! My black spaghetti was good but not outstanding. Love the vibe of the place. Was worried how loud it was going to get as the place filled up but was pleasantly surprised that I could still hear my dinner companions speak.
Food is always amazing and presentation beautiful. The drinks are unique and delicious.
Service is over the top. Staff work very well together and it shows!
Went for Happy Hour, Pizza was awesome (sausage) & the Popette was fantastic. Great drink specials as well. Great place to sit back, relax and consume mass quantities!
Always a wonderful dining experience. The food is superb with a wonderful farm to table influence. Service is always top notch! Can’t wait for my next experience at Indaco!
Always amazing! Service is attentive and friendly but never rushes you and food is outstanding. Would recommend indaco over anything else downtown
Great food. Fresh tasting and unique blends of flavors. Highly recommend it!
This was my favorite meal of my weekend trip. After researching reviews, I selected this venue for the reputedly good food but was pleased with everything about the experience. The location is in a 'happening' part of downtown and the restaurant's décor was modern and inviting. We opted for the butter beans as our appetizer and I can't stop craving them. I've had them before and they are served all over Charleston, but these were laced with some alluring complimentary flavors. The risotto was some of the best I've had ! We opted for early seating using Open Table which made our experience one to savor.
Great food, appetizers and the pasta was just the right portion (not too much or too heavy). Wine list is extensive and great cocktails!
I was late getting there but everyone was gracious and didn’t make me feel horrible. I really appreciated that. Waiter was quick with my drink and then let us relax. Food was excellent and well seasoned. Really enjoyed our visit. Squid ink pasta was great
We love Indaco! One of our very favorite Charleston restaurants! We always visit when we are in town!!!
Everything was Fabulous! The cocktails, wine, dinners and dessert were fabulous! The black spaghetti was outstanding and the service was excellent. Started out very noisy, but as the evening progressed and the crowd thinned out, the noise level was more reasonable.
What a fantastic dinner
Everything was perfect
We can’t wait to return
The black spaghetti was amazing
Food and vibe were great. I really enjoyed my meal and the staff were incredibly kind!
The food was incredible and the staff were very hospitable.
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Chef Hollar and team are doing amazing things in the kitchen. They had a 50 top on the patio and a full restaurant on a Saturday night and the kitchen looked happy and relaxed! The BOH and FOH staff work together great. You can tell it's a solid team and the service staff is very well trained.
Food was great, service even better. This is how you do it!
LOVE LOVE LOVE! Food, atmosphere, wine, waitresses, music was all a 100. Will definitely be come back!
Exceptional food, very loud
