This is the third time, I patronize this restaurant. It is good but had fair waiter and busboy service. It took a lot to get them over, and once we ordered they seemed to disappear because the restaurant was busy, perhaps they need more staff. It does not mean i will not come back... on the contrary, I need to train my waiter to service me and my guest correctly, and I will.
The food was good but the service was a bit slow. The new remodel is nice and the restaurant feels warmer than before.
3 people having a basic pasta dish each + a glass of wine each + a salad each; expect a bill of $140 - $150, plus tip.
A visit to Incontro is always a delight, with exquisite food offerings, attentive service and lovely ambiance. We never felt hurried, which was perfect for our business dinner.
Overall loved the restaurant, the only thing I would change is the coffee portion and the serving. I’ve been there twice, both times it took a while for the coffee to come and sometimes it’s been lukewarm.
Extremely fun, friendly and great food! One of our favorite places for the past several years.
When out of town company are in town...it’s the first place we dine.
Good value as always. Good food and service. No issues, so a good night out!
Expensive, busy, loud Valentine ‘s dinner at a local neighborhood restaurant. Incontro has always been mediocre but it is a place of convenience for us. There’s really nothing to write home about. For this particular occasion, the lobster tail was absolutely murdered and over cooked. The filet was better but on the tough side. Service was efficient but impersonal and hurried.
Nice local spot for a date night or a upscale casual Italian meal. Friendly staff and good food. We had a nice bottle of Montepulciano with dinner. Much appreciated to have it on the wine list. Thanks!
Authentic Italian with amazing charm. They greet you with Bona Sera.
Excellent food and service.
The food was good, the service was a little intrusive (the wait staff could have checked a little less often). Our seating was a bit crowded -felt squeezed into the spot even though there were not other customers seated near us. The wait staff was friendly and polite, but periodically noisy, talking loudly to one another > annoying and rude.
Perhaps I am expecting too much. But if I had to make some observations I would say the following. The food was okay. I would say average for this price point. But no meal stood out as something we would come back to have at this restaurant. Two had lasagna with spinach and liked the lasagna but not the spinach. It took a little too long to order a drink after we were seated. I actually asked the hostess who was our waiter. And I said everything is fine but when he gets a chance ask him to come over. It was a very busy Saturday night. And I still gave him a 20% tip. And I will go back again.
We had a regular reservation. When we arrived the hostess said we booked on the patio. We said no. She was almost insistent until we stood firm. She then put us in a cramped table behind her station. It was ok. The first guy brought water right away. Then we just sat waiting and waiting. We asked the first guy if he could get our waiter he said ok. A few minutes later he came over. Anyway, The food did not take to long. They did mess up the salads but ok. The food was average. We have been here a few times and like the nice quiet atmosphere. Well, That night was not the same. The people at the table next to us were entirely to loud. We could hardly hear each other. And it kept getting worse. We ate our food quickly and left. Pretty sure it was a one time thing ( We hope ) because we do like the food.
Good local Italian restaurant. Not a big space so not suited for big groups unless eating during the week maybe. Fresh and tasty, small menu but good choices for pasta,
My family of 10 celebrated 3 birthdays for Sunday Brunch. Excellent ambiance, great service and value, and the food was excellent, from cook to order omelettes and waffles, with the added touch of Italian flair (tortellini / mini pizzas) to a typical American breakfast brunch buffet. Definitely will be visiting again for any occasion! They have good parking in the back too!!!
It is January and we were greeted by the hostess telling us that they have our table set for the patio! Seriously? We declined the patio and were seated indoors after a bit of a wait. We were seated in an overly packed room next to a trio discussing a recent divorce.....
The foot was good enough but not inspired. The service was fine and not rushed. But, with all the choices in Danville, I think it will be a while before we feel compelled to come back. Maybe when it is warm again and we don't mind being asked to sit outside.
Very pleasant experience. Food was fabulous, service very attentive, and noise level low so a group of five could easily carry on a conversation. My first time eating at Incontro and I would definitely return. A great experience at a reasonable price. Note it was a Wednesday night so weekends could be noisier and more crowded.
Had a very nice brunch for my birthday. I invited 10 people. we had a nice table in the back where it felt private. Nice variety of brunch food. cooked to order eggs and waffle.
We had a wonderful NYEve meal at Incontro. Great food and service!
We thought it would be a nice New Yesrs Eve dinner with smiling faces and party atmosphere. We were placed in a door way where my husband had to duck several times to not be hit in the head with bar glasses. Other than water, no one asked if we wanted a beverage, then we had to flag someone down for a refill! They brought me a butter knife with my steak —-won’t be going back.
The building is beautifully decorated and great indoor and outdoor seating options. Food is very good and the service is awesome. I've been there with teenage kids as well as "date nights" and both were great. Convenient parking behind the restaurant is helpful in downtown Danville. When I book on OpenTable they call me back and reconfirm, which I like, gives me confidence that my reservation is solid, and they let me know about anything special going on, like their New Year's menu.
Excellent cuisine. Beautiful presentation. Attentive staff. Will definitely be back!
Ate on front porch. Perfect with heater to keep comfortable. Food and service perfect. Wonderful Christmas Eve dining menu and atmosphere. Beautifully decorated for Christmas.
Lovely Christmas Eve eve dinner inspired by the feast of the seven fishes. Beautiful dinner in a lovely setting. The octopus and calamari steak was prepared to perfection! Brava!!!
Food was good with a nice presentation. Liked our server and staff. However, the incredibly loud noise in the restaurant distracted from what would have been a nice meal with friends. I would recommend Incontro to others but with a warning about the noise.
Was sad to see some of my favorite dishes off the new menu and not much available for vegetarians. The server was able to recommend some items that made a selection helpful however so this was much appreciated. Would return and especially enjoy their outdoor seating when the weather agrees,
Always a great place for a nice evening out with friends or that favorite someone. Great food, lots of wine choices and friendly servers!
Good food, great views of Downtown Danville and GREAT service. This was Date Night with my wife and we really enjoyed ourselves. Thanks Incontro!
Good food and service. Staff are very personable. One of my favorite places to hang out.
Great Food and ambiance. Good service
Incantro is always great!
My husband and go to Incontro when we are in the mood for good Italian food. Our server is always nice and checks up on us several times throughout the meal. We will be back again and again! Their lasagna is awesome! One of my favorites I've ever tasted!
We have eaten here a number of times and the food is generally quite good with service to match. Nothing exotic but pretty steady. One suggestion in terms of value. Gift cards ($100 for $80) have generally been available at Costco Danville.
Cozy environment. Great wine list. Food above average, not spectacular. Great service. Nice patio seatings.
I had a salad with beets as my entree and it was very good. The veal parmigiana was a huge letdown. It was soggy and bland. The sole was OK. Our waiter was great, but the food was not that good, there is so many other good places in Danville.
Great food and service
I took my husband to dinner here for his birthday. The place is cute, it looks like it used to be a home and turned into a restaurant. It has on-site parking in the back of the restaurant. It has a nice large out door seating area with a bar. One of the tables has a firepit on it ! I want to have that table for a GNO next time. The decor inside is nice and a good ambiance. There is an indoor bar as well. The food was really good. The service was OK, I expected much better from this type of restaurant. But, I will definitely like to go back and sit outside maybe in the Spring or Summer!
We were celebrating a birthday and we were more than happy with the service and the food. The Server was very attentive to our needs without being intrusive. He knew the menu well and of course he had some personal favorites. Keep doing what you're doing and you will continue to have repeat business.
