Incontro A Tavola
Our food combines multiple regions of Italy to bring the best of each style for our guests. So please join us to experience a traditional yet modern take on Italian dining. The menu is ran by Executive Chef Massimo Gaffo, who was born and raised in Rome.
Our Bar Program is curated/created by Beverage Director Joe Crivolio, who has taken a prohibition approach along with some Italian influenced fusion. While also reinventing the cocktails, there is a major focus on our Amaro list, which is a bitter digestif that is a major example of after dinner drinking in Italy.
Mike was an amazing waiter with wonderful suggestions. The food was outstanding, the service was excellent, and the overall experience was memorable! This place is a gem in the suburbs! We will be back!
The staff is friendly and attentive. Food is excellent.
This is our second visit to the restaurant and I have to say, the service was excellent, but the food was below average. I had the mahi mahi which lacked any flavor whatsoever and my husbands pasta was simply boring. Not something I expected from this high end establishment, last tome we went the food was excellent and there was a pianist, etc.
Today I was Valentines Day. I expected more, no music. Service, again.. wS excellent... but food was lacking significantly.
I won’t return.
Nice. Real nice
The server could be a bit more personable. And we were seated at a booth next to the bar. When there were other booths available. Wasn’t a very romantic quiet dinner for Valentine’s Day.
I had the linguine di mare with garlic white wine sauce. The quality of the seafood was impressive but I didn’t care for the sauce. It was thick and bland. My husband had the tagliatelle bolognese and found it just average and kind of dry. The bread was very good and they had a nice selection of wine.
The weather was really bad out so we were basically the only ones in the restaurant. Mike (?) our waiter was absolutely fabulous! Food was amazing!
Everything was very good, except that my wife ordered her steak well done and they gave it to her medium. They did fixed it but by that time I was almost done eating. The service was really good and overall we had a good time.
Solid Italian food. Gnocchi was not homemade and was certainly not that good.
Great atmosphere, very important staff, definitely worth a visit
ENJOYED THE FOOD AND GOOD SERVICE, ONLY POOR ITEM WAS A BABY CRYING ON AND OFF FOR 1 HR.
The food was delicious and the server was outstanding. She was very friendly and made excellent entree and wine recommendations. My friends and I appreciated dining in a quiet atmosphere so that everyone at the table could here each other. We will return soon.
Food and service was great, it’s a smaller restaurant so noise wasn’t an issue.
Always an outstanding restaurant! The staff is great!
This is the second time we dined here. The first time was great.
This time was very disappointing.
Service: The service this time was off, distracted, not getting things like flatware. There was a snowstorm, so perhaps they were short staffed.
Food: There were four of us. They got the food half right. The appetizers were good. For the main meals, the lemon chicken was good, the vegetarian lasagna was great. The 8oz filet dish had two pieces of meat. One was good and one was very fatty for a filet. Was about $35. Would expect it to be cooked correctly. It was ordered medium and came out very rare. Sent it back, and got the same meat reheated on the grill.(Maybe used to higher end places that get a new piece of meat so it is not reheated or they at least ask if they can put back on grill?) In addition, the steak should have come with asparagus. They ran out so substituted with green beans. Did not mention it when the plate was brought to table. Just said something when we asked. The scallop risotto was mushy, think oatmeal. The four scallops were done perfectly. For a $35 price point, risotto should have been spot on. This is supposed to be an Italian restaraunt.
Dessert: Not asked if we wanted any. Did bring out two mini cannoli for a birthday and the two wait staff sang, which was sweet.
Manager: He seemed happy to stand at the host stand, surveying. It was not a busy night. Did not see him offering to help staff or checking on any clients. He did not come over to apologize when the steak was sent back. When we left and told him some of the issues, he said he will have a word with the wait staff. Did not seem concerned about the food issues. He was more concerned to see no one else could hear us. We felt he treated us like we were an inconvenience/ bothering him. He did not portray an attitude of a manager who was sorry at all, really. Not a good feeling, especially if he wanted us to come back again after spending nearly $300 for four people to dine there.
The food was delicious and beautifully plated. The servers were friendly, helpful and attentive. The ambience is comfortable and classy. I recommend In Contro A Tavola!
It was great
Our favorite Saturday date night spot. Great food, wine, service and space. We love going there each week!
We love the beautiful atmosphere, the homemade pasta is outstanding, the wine is exceptional and the fish and meats are carefully chosen and prepared. Always have a wonderful time here and we keep coming back week after week. Found my new favorite wine here a couple of months ago. Service is wonderful!
Server was very friendly. Enjoyed sitting and taking with friends. Only one problem was busboy wanted to leave and we were last table and he kept coming by making it uncomfortable for us by taking our glasses and plates and salt and pepper etc. It was only 930 and we all felt pressured to leave. Not an enjoyable experience. They should never do that.
Wonderful as usual. Food was great. There was just a VERY loud table at the opposite end of the room that might as well have been sitting next to us they we so loud and i am assuming drunk. Kinda made us not want to stay and have another cocktail and talk But we will be back I think it was just that table.
Food was great, but our server made our night, as we celebrated my husbands birthday with my daughter and her boyfriend. He was extremely helpful and attentive and had a great personality. You will be lucky if you get Justin for your server!!!
For the price you pay the food is just average. Apps are over price for the quantity they serve. Very disappointed in the tiramisu. It was not authentic.
My food was excellent. Two people at our table had surf and turf and said the lobster was not fully cooked. Chef came to our table and problem was solved. New Years Eve dinner.
Another great meal. We were there for New Years Eve. They had a nice combo band for atmosphere. Our server Olty (who we have had before) was terrific as always. Massimo the chef came to our table and also wished us Happy New Year when we left. One of our favorite places. Will of course go again. You should give it a try for sure.
Understanding that it was New Years this is not our first time there and it wasn’t our first time for New Years. We had an earlier reservation than in the past but our service was poor. Waters were not refilled, drinks sat empty and she didn’t check on us after food arrived. Then gave us a bill before even asking if we wanted anything else. Really poor on her end.
Our accountant recommended this restaurant, so we decided to try it for New Years eve. The food was very good. My wife had the short rib gnocchi and had something called Braciole which was a piece of sirloin rolled up and stuff with all kinds of good things. Both dishes were outstanding! This is our new Italian favorite.
Good just a little pricey
There were six of us out for a departmental holiday dinner. Atmosphere, lighting, and décor were excellent. Chef Massimo came to our table to discuss the cheese wheel which we look forward to in the new year. Everyone's dishes were outstanding. The waiter's wine recommendation was perfect. Great evening for all!
We were late for our reservation on Christmas Eve but they were very accommodating, seated us right away and served up some great food.
Poor service from the bartender/waitress made this a long drawn out dinner. Food was average nothing outstanding and waiting for our server did not help. Do not sit a a table near the bar if your server is also the bartender. Sad because this was a celebration dinner and we had heard that this was a really great Italian restaurant, worth the drive and expense. Won't be back.
Never a dull moment at Incontra a Tavola! Grazie allo chef e Juan!
Chef Massimo is a genius! Service was excellent.
We have lunched here several times but this was the first time we had dinner. We had a wonderful dining experience. Food and service were excellent. Highly recommended.
Love this place. Great service and outstanding food.
Food and service was absolutely Fantastic - Chef also prepared a special request.
Food was not worth the price. The options for vegetarians is limited and what was left was all pasta dishes that tasted the same. Service was okay.
Water glass never empty, incredibly attentive wait staff.
Food was superb. Reminded us of small family restaurants in Italy.
Ordered cesar salad (enough for 2), chicken limone and chicken parm. Generous
portions complimented by interesting wine pairings.
Food was great! The only reason service was given 3 stars was the server seemed put out that he had to split the check for two couples and disappeared for 10-15 mins at a time after he took our order.
