Inatteso Pizza Bar
This is definitely a hidden gem. The fresh pasta is amazing. We'll be back.
One of my favorite places in NYC!
I had the eggplant, their was a long piece of hair in my sauce, long and black. My meal was over. Ambiance nice, pasta was good but I was afraid of it.
My wife and I enjoyed Valentines Day dinner. Service was wonderful, food a tad on the salty side, and a bit too much oil in the otherwise perfectly cooked sea bream. Server Tommy was great and Katie arranged for our table when I called to confirm. I’m impressed with Inattesso’s menu updates. Please bring back the pork chop too!
This restaurant is located close to our apartment building so it is easy choice for us for meals. However, I would make the trek to this restaurant if I didn’t live in the neighborhood. It has an amazing staff and fabulous food (and great wine!). This is easy to get to if touring lower Manhattan and Battery Park.
Excellent place. Great appetizers and entrees, very good pizzas as well as full dishes and the service was really great. And, finally, the cost for dinner for 2 with drinks was extremely reasonable, well below what one would expect eating in Manhattan. We will definitely return.
Perhaps the pizza is good.
Wanted a good dinner before attending a nearby show and we were thrilled with our choice. The margarita pizza was thin and delicious. The wine was great. And we had a very good pasta dish as well. Would definitely return!
Maybe they were going through something with not enough waitstaff, but service was HORRIBLE. 25 minutes to get our first order and the place was all but empty when we gave it. With the exception of the server who brought us water and bread - this was not a fun night. Quite a change from the last few times. I am hoping this is not a trend.
We were thoroughly disappointed with the service of this restaurant. We arrived at 9pm, in the pouring rain, on New Years eve with our 2 children, only to be told that the kitchen had closed at 8pm and we did not have a table. They said they had tried to contact us, but we had received no communication from the restaurant and when I said they had our mobile number, they said because it was a UK number they were not able to contact us (seriously! In this day and age!?!) Bearing in mind we were on holiday from the UK to spend New Years eve in New York, only to find out at 9pm(!) when arriving at the restaurant that we did not have a table is beyond words of poor service. We were lucky enough that our hotel (the Conrad Hotel - I can't recommend this hotel enough!) were able to seat us at table in the lobby so we could at least have some food. I am sure the food at Inatteso is very nice, however I would never set my foot in a restaurant that think this is acceptable behaviour.
Our favorite pizza place in NYC. So glad that after a couple of years nothing has changed in flavor! Great bloody mary's too.
Real italian food - excellent!
I had made a reservation for my girlfriend and myself. But when her two sons and daughter-in-law decided at the last minute to join us, the restaurant was able to accommodate us, and at the tables near the front windows. The lighting was very subdued. A single votive candle on the table barely provided enough light to read the menu, which was the flip-side of the placemat.
The food was good. My girlfriend had the meatballs and was offered two portion sizes, 3 or 6. I ordered the ravioli and was asked if I wanted 3 or 6. This is a good feature, depending on your level of hunger. We were eating earlier than usual because we had 7 pm theatre tickets to see a show at the Jewish Heritage Museum which is a block away.
I looked around the interior as we waited for our food. There appeared to be large groups at every table. If I ever had cause to be in the Battery Park area, I would definitely return here.
The pizza was ok, but not amazing and 2 out of 8 pizzas ordered were burnt. Service was generally ok but one pizza did not arrive as the waitress forgot to write it down. We decided to tip 15% but were told that it was law to tip 20% for parties over 6 and forced to pay the extra. Unacceptable as 15% is more than we should have paid and they made the whole restaurant aware of the situation, overall a very unpleasant experience.
Food was very good. Location was great for an event at the museum of Jewish heritage. Problem was there was a big table of young kids. They were good but they were so loud. It is a small place. Not sure if it was the place or just the kids.
The food is consistently good and the service is friendly. The pizzas are really special. Attractive décor.
We expected an ordinary pizza parlor and were pleasantly surprised by good food and great service and atmosphere. Meatballs were excellent and pizza was very good.
We came on a slow night and were seated immediately. This was our second time dining in so we knew pretty quickly what we wanted. The eggplant parmesan and mushroom pizza were incredible. My girlfriend and I normally shy away from ricotta but inatesso really made us rethink that fear. The only complaint was that it took a few minutes to be seen by our waiter even though the restaurant was near empty. This would normally not have been an issue but we were on a tight schedule. All-in-all excellent food, don't hesitate to go!
Continuously delivers a very good experience!
Fantastic Pizza! Thanks for a great meal!
Great waiter and really good food. Very accommodating for our two kids ages 12 and 7.
Great local Italian restaurant especially for pizza and pasta with friendly service (Katie was our server)
Really enjoyed the food. We are already talking about going back. The waitstaff was very nice, decor was great. No negatives. Check it out!
Katie - our server - was delightful. Food was excellent, service excellent and well located to the theater we were going to. Would recommend it to anyone going to that area of the city.
Food was good, reasonably quiet, moderately priced restaurant in Downtown, NYC. Outside and inside dining.
Great neighborhood restaurant! Quiet enough that you can talk and listen. Great food, great wine selection, highly recommend.
The food was excellent but , the staff not so much . I asked the waiter a couple of questions about the salads and he offered no insight on my questions . Then proceeded to go behind the bar to mix drinks and tell another wait all about my stupid questions , he was very rude . Guess he didn't think we could hear him sitting less than three feet away . Cute place , again great white pizza but , the staff could use some fine tuning.
We had a delicious dinner with friends before the theater. The food was delicious; the service friendly and attentive. We were happy to eat here again after just walking by and deciding to try it a few weeks ago. It's always nice to have another great meal.
The service was excellent and we really enjoyed the Sicilian pizza.
Super pasta. Salads fresh and tasty. Nice wait staff. Prior knowledge and a few glances to remember...A list
Great service, tasty food and a nice setting. The acoustics make this place quite loud but there's an outside option, too.
We always like this place. However, accepting a 3:45 reservation and closing at 4pm for 30
Minutes and reopening again at 4:30 is weird. They should fix that issue. Stay open (we actually stayed , just couldn’t order), or don’t accept reservations after 3:15/3:30 until 4:30.
Great food inside of a clean and stylish place! Awesome pizza options. Pizza was delicious and not very greasy. Tasted fresh and yummy.
We came for a quick dinner on a weeknight and had a really nice experience both with the very good service and the very delicious food.
What a nice little neighborhood place. The staff is super friendly, the food was really delicious and it has a few tables outside which is always a plus in nice weather in my mind. The dining room is small and is really dark while the bar area is floor to ceiling windows. Wine was good, food was good. Would definitely recommend for a solid family or friends meal!
Once again, Inatesso impresses with its use of fresh spring greens in a selection of dishes. The charred spring onion & bufalo mozzarella salad was a treat for the senses. Pasta is similarly season-inspired with tender pasta and perfectly cooked asparagus. When you add a crisp cold glass of wine and attentive service, what more could you ask for?
We dined between rushes so not too busy, the food and service was great. Excellent pizza!!
We live in the neighborhood and come here all the time. At least once a week and I know we are not the only ones. It has spoiled us as now when we go to have Italian food elsewhere in the city, we wish we had just gone here instead. Never had a bad dish - everything is delicious!
It’s too dark.
Food was delicious, service was fabulous...great place to stop before visiting 9/11 or statue of liberty
