Inatteso Pizza Bar
Nice place with great outdoor seating. Perfect for a dining outside.
This is a find — an unpretentious downtown restaurant that features fresh vegetables, excellent thin crust pizzas, and creative pasta dishes. We have dined here multiple times and have always found the service friendly, the food delicious, and the bill reasonable. Bravo, Inatteso!
Pizza very good pretty location service kindly Clean, price om
The food, the staff and the atmosphere were great!!!
The pizza was delicious - very thin crust and fresh, tasty toppings. Our server was helpful and pleasant.
The quality of the food was ok .we had 3x pasta alla norma and 1x pizza Margherita. We ask for some bread, but was finished.Food was on the table and we didn’t get forks and knives
Amazing service and pizza
My husband and I enjoyed a delicious lunch before heading over to The Museum of Jewish Heritage.
The ambiance, food, snd service were excellent! The friendly, efficient staff were so welcoming. My husband and I shared the meatballs for an appetizer, and then a small Margherita pizza. I enjoyed a glass of Chardonnay with my lunch.
We will most definitely return to this wonderful restaurant soon!
Service was excellent. There were 5 of us and we spent extra time there and didn’t feel rushed. The food (pizzas, meatballs and desserts) was excellent and great value for what we had and brought home with us...
We sat outside under trees with the magnificent view of lower Manhattan, appreciating the setting but the food was disappointing. The salad was fine but their pizza was inferior. There was too much tasteless tomato sauce and the amount of cheese was skimpy. As lovely as the experience was, we wouldn't go back because of that. Also, the prices of wine by the glass were extremely high. The restaurant is attractive but that's not enough.
The food here is amazing, my husband and I go here on special occasions and they never disappoint. We found them by accident and we keep coming back just for the food, even if it means driving nearly 2 hours for it.
Good pizza, great outdoor sitting with The One World Trace Center view.
We visited on a hot summer weekend afternoon after touring nearby Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty. The restaurant was dark, quiet, cool—an oasis of calm respite. Perfect! Our friendly waitress recommended sharing a large pizza, salad, pasta and two appetizers among our group of five. It was just the right amount and everything was delicious. The fungi pizza was a standout with chewy roasted mushrooms in a thick layer of cheese. Yum.
Great local pizza place with very nice associated dishes. Good vibe and atmosphere. Worth it if you're looking for a pleasant place near the water.
TERRIBLE service! Love this restaurant so a real shame.
Outstanding service! Food was very delicious! Love your sauce!!!
Absolutely wonderful the quality of the pizzas is incredible
Our favorite neighborhood pizza and pasta restaurant. We enjoyed a Margherita Pizza with Meatballs and a Rigatoni Alla Norma - both excellent. Our host/server Katie was extremely friendly and helpful. We will be back.
Great pizza & salads. Nice ambiance but a little loud. Great service. Would definitely go back.
The waiter seemd very distracted and could not get the beverage order correct and the drinks were served very late. The dinding area was quite warm.
Food is amazing! Pizza is one of the best I've had in NYC!
We were looking for gourmet pizza and we decided to try Inatteso. It is about a 20 minute walk from our apartment and it was a beautiful cool Spring evening so we decided to go. It is a little tricky to find but once we arrived we were seated promptly. We did make reservations. We were greeted by Deanna who was welcoming and helpful with the menu. She was leaving so she turned us over to Katie, who was lots of fun and really helpful as well. We started with drinks, a martini and a gimlet, which were made really well. We then split an arugula salad which was fresh and delicious and lightly dressed and continued with the Barese Pizza. It was hot, crusty and all the toppings were great, sausage, fennel seeds, hot peppers, sautéed red onions. It was more than enough for the two of us, my Husband had the baked apple with ice cream for desert. I think this is the best pizza (gourmet) in the neighborhood, had to throw gourmet in since Joe's Pizza is now in the area and that is my grab and go slice place. Go to Inatteso for date night, or with friends and enjoy.
The eggplant is to die for, highly recommend. The current branzino entree, meh...not so much. Grilled was better.
This is definitely a hidden gem. The fresh pasta is amazing. We'll be back.
One of my favorite places in NYC!
I had the eggplant, their was a long piece of hair in my sauce, long and black. My meal was over. Ambiance nice, pasta was good but I was afraid of it.
My wife and I enjoyed Valentines Day dinner. Service was wonderful, food a tad on the salty side, and a bit too much oil in the otherwise perfectly cooked sea bream. Server Tommy was great and Katie arranged for our table when I called to confirm. I’m impressed with Inattesso’s menu updates. Please bring back the pork chop too!
This restaurant is located close to our apartment building so it is easy choice for us for meals. However, I would make the trek to this restaurant if I didn’t live in the neighborhood. It has an amazing staff and fabulous food (and great wine!). This is easy to get to if touring lower Manhattan and Battery Park.
Excellent place. Great appetizers and entrees, very good pizzas as well as full dishes and the service was really great. And, finally, the cost for dinner for 2 with drinks was extremely reasonable, well below what one would expect eating in Manhattan. We will definitely return.
Perhaps the pizza is good.
Wanted a good dinner before attending a nearby show and we were thrilled with our choice. The margarita pizza was thin and delicious. The wine was great. And we had a very good pasta dish as well. Would definitely return!
Maybe they were going through something with not enough waitstaff, but service was HORRIBLE. 25 minutes to get our first order and the place was all but empty when we gave it. With the exception of the server who brought us water and bread - this was not a fun night. Quite a change from the last few times. I am hoping this is not a trend.
We were thoroughly disappointed with the service of this restaurant. We arrived at 9pm, in the pouring rain, on New Years eve with our 2 children, only to be told that the kitchen had closed at 8pm and we did not have a table. They said they had tried to contact us, but we had received no communication from the restaurant and when I said they had our mobile number, they said because it was a UK number they were not able to contact us (seriously! In this day and age!?!) Bearing in mind we were on holiday from the UK to spend New Years eve in New York, only to find out at 9pm(!) when arriving at the restaurant that we did not have a table is beyond words of poor service. We were lucky enough that our hotel (the Conrad Hotel - I can't recommend this hotel enough!) were able to seat us at table in the lobby so we could at least have some food. I am sure the food at Inatteso is very nice, however I would never set my foot in a restaurant that think this is acceptable behaviour.
Our favorite pizza place in NYC. So glad that after a couple of years nothing has changed in flavor! Great bloody mary's too.
Real italian food - excellent!
I had made a reservation for my girlfriend and myself. But when her two sons and daughter-in-law decided at the last minute to join us, the restaurant was able to accommodate us, and at the tables near the front windows. The lighting was very subdued. A single votive candle on the table barely provided enough light to read the menu, which was the flip-side of the placemat.
The food was good. My girlfriend had the meatballs and was offered two portion sizes, 3 or 6. I ordered the ravioli and was asked if I wanted 3 or 6. This is a good feature, depending on your level of hunger. We were eating earlier than usual because we had 7 pm theatre tickets to see a show at the Jewish Heritage Museum which is a block away.
I looked around the interior as we waited for our food. There appeared to be large groups at every table. If I ever had cause to be in the Battery Park area, I would definitely return here.
The pizza was ok, but not amazing and 2 out of 8 pizzas ordered were burnt. Service was generally ok but one pizza did not arrive as the waitress forgot to write it down. We decided to tip 15% but were told that it was law to tip 20% for parties over 6 and forced to pay the extra. Unacceptable as 15% is more than we should have paid and they made the whole restaurant aware of the situation, overall a very unpleasant experience.
Food was very good. Location was great for an event at the museum of Jewish heritage. Problem was there was a big table of young kids. They were good but they were so loud. It is a small place. Not sure if it was the place or just the kids.
The food is consistently good and the service is friendly. The pizzas are really special. Attractive décor.
We expected an ordinary pizza parlor and were pleasantly surprised by good food and great service and atmosphere. Meatballs were excellent and pizza was very good.
