This is a "neighborhood gem." The menu is new and interesting. The food was very good.
I love their pasta which is hand made.
"snacks" were very good; limited menu but that's okay - creative, but some items a bust; "daily Dumpling" VG; gnocci - really, really bland
In Bloom is the latest incarnation of restaurant concept for this location. The menu offerings are a bit more diverse and interesting. For those who had some favorite dishes from Live2Eat, you may recognize similar ones popping up on the menu. The risotto fritters were fantastic. The fish tacos (with very fresh/regional black sea bass, served whole and fried) were updated with Asian flavors, which we loved. The service was attentive and friendly, perhaps a bit too casual. The kitchen had an abrasive burning smell that filled the dining room (kind of like when you set your oven to clean mode). But overall the experience was nice, we'll certainly plan to come back.
Four of us came in for a pre-game brunch. We had a carafe of a wonderful "Ravens" cocktail. All of us loved our food. We were able to talk and got fast service to have a good brunch and also get to the game on time. We'll be back!!
Excellent food and super friendly staff! They have a great, separate, room for families with kids that has toys and trains for them to play with and chalkboard walls.
Showed off one this spot to our city friends. The risotto fritters are fantastic and great to share. The gnocchi, pork dumplings were delicious. And homemade mini chocolate chip cookies served in mini skillets - amazing.
Chef Cyrus Keefer is amazing. The flavors were incredible. Incentive comforting food. Top notch fresh ingredients. A Baltimore gem.
The food was wonderful...monkfish, stuffed chicken, calamari and let us not forget those dreamy risotto fritters! The service was friendly, knowledgeable and on point for the whole evening. We visit Baltimore often, and will surely include this restaurant again and again.
Excellent service, and an intriguing menu with lots of interesting things to try . Great small plates and a small but good selection of larger meals. Don't over-order as portions are generous!
Awesome place. Highly recommend
Great food, amazing chefs, nice atmosphere. Hostess was great and welcoming.
Love this place! Very fresh menu and great service.
Formerly "Liv2Eat" (I welcome the name change, frankly...), this restaurant is even better than before. They now have a menu that caters to changing often in order to use the best seasonal ingredients. I personally love this, as I tend to gravitate towards anything on the menu/specials that I haven't had before.
I had the grilled octopus, and my girlfriend got the short rib. Both were fantastic. The calamari appetizer was sauteed rather than fried, and cooked to perfection.
Will be back again!
Loved it as Liv2eat and love it as In bloom. The service is always great as well as the food
Very good buffet on this night! I enjoyed the different selections of food. Also the drink specials we great. They also gave me a discount on my kiddo for the buffet.
Love sitting on the back terrace. Went for Restaurant week so menu was limited but good value and nice selection. Bread pudding dessert absolutely delicious.
The food was incredible! We sat on the patio and there were two kids running around pretending to shoot each other and hiding behind my fiance and I....unfortunately it was his birthday and that was distracting and pretty frustrating. The support staff also seemed very disorganized and we had several plates delivered to our table that weren't ours. Our server was nice but I overheard the staff in the alley behind us saying some unsavory things about guests so that was uncomfortable.
Baltimore Restaurant Week. Wait staff: very attentive & informed. Appetizers: delicious (fritters & mussels w/ crusty bread for the broth -Yum!) Entree: poorly butchered flatiron (silver skin intact) and slightly under cooked for medium well and medium rare (perhaps rushing to get them out simultaneously and misjudged the thickness) sides: fine. Desserts: excellent chocolate chip cookie bars served w/micro vanilla shake (perfect) and the best root beer float! It was a bit chilly and the speaker music was very loud which caused a party at another table to shout over it. We gave up on conversation. These are easy fixes and we'll be back again.
We arrived at 7:50 for a 7:45 reservation (parking issues). Our table wasn't ready. There were tons of tables available, and our hostess said she'd check to see if it was ready. We never saw her again. I got up at 8pm to see what the story was, and then someone said, "Oh, I'm just cleaning off your table."
Our waiter took our order quickly and brought our first course (we ordered all 3 of the prix fixe up front). The 2nd course took 35 minutes and didn't include all the items described on the restaurant's website (my dish was pretty much fish and corn... ). We pointed that out to the server and he said "Oh, sorry." Our dessert took another 10-15 minutes, even though we'd ordered it up front. We were late for our concert.
The food was good enough. But the service was definitely MEH.
The back patio was perfect but that was the highlight of the night. We found the service to be poor and the food only fair. Don't have any plans to return.
