In Bloom at Keg & Case Market
Keg and Case is St. Paul’s most exciting eating and drinking project since beer was first brewed here in 1855! Inside the market you'll find a combination of chef-driven restaurants, craft beer and a uniquely curated market brimming with an eclectic mix of regional goods.
Outside, a bustling park is the backdrop for a diverse calendar of music, pop-up markets and events for all seasons. Revitalized and transformed, these welcoming spaces offer the community access to exceptional fare and new experiences with each visit.
Need to book at 12:30 AM?Other great restaurants with availability.
Everything tasted good. Nothing absolutely memorable as a dish. My friend is vegan so although several sides and apps available to pull a meal together I do not believe there was a truly vegan entree. So that would be certainly a nice option.
Slow, inattentive service. Several starters were microscopic. Mains ok. Good wine list (a bit pricey though). This was our 4th visit, the first 3 being better. Not sure if we’ll return
This place is the best. It has the best food and drinks, excellent service and ambiance and I can always get a reservation!
We took clients to In Bloom and it was the perfect, fun and relaxed environment for some social bonding! Kudos to the waitress (can't recall name unfortunately!) and the great food! Very seamless and great experience!
We absolutely loved it! Our server was wonderful and so accommodating. The food was delicious! Thank you!
Stupendous, as always. Service is top notch, as food is as good. This, coming from a classically trained chef and a service manager couple. We’ve spent years in this industry, and this place does it the best, in the twin cities, we feel. Thank you for the wonderful time, service, food, and attention to detail. Absolutely marvelous.
Food was delicious, tons of service and care that was exceptional! My next trip will be brunch, as I heard that’s also excellent. Sit at the counter, if you can. This team works so hard and is a joy to see!
Valentines Day: scallops came on plastic 'half-shell' displays - cute - steadied on a bed of something that turned out to be flavored rock salt. We received no warning at all. My wife injured her tongue from a salt burn on the 1st bite, and couldn't enjoy her meal - or $15 drink. 3 complaints to the waiter, but no action, no bill adjustment - and no manager visit. We feel robbed.
Just a great place for Saturday brunch. Good food, considerate and attentive service, very nice atmosphere. And whatever you're paying those chefs toiling over the fires, it's not enough....
Great food, service and ambience; although the music’s a bit loud?
We’ve been to Keg and Case before and finally decided to take the plunge for Valentines Day. Started with a drink which was spot on. Apps and dinner were cooked to perfection. Service was A+. Finished off with a delicious dessert. Would highly recommend. Price is relatively high but absolutely worth it. Highly recommend
The food was excellent. Our server was very nice. Overall amazing. A little disappointed that the menu change removed the porterhouse steak for 2 but that’s ok. Everything we had was still amazing.
I loved some things about this restaurant - came here because of the hype and saw how beautiful it is when I stopped to purchase a gift card. The space is awesome, lots to see beforehand if you can come early. Was bummed more kiosks were not open later, esp on a holiday – Valentine's Day. Would have spent money had that been the case.
Service here is top-notch... our server Bree was lovely and efficient. I was a bit disappointed to be seated upstairs, which does not have the same attention to ambiance. But she and the hostess were quite gracious in my request to move our table near the balcony edge, so we could at least see part of the atmosphere. It was nice that it was quieter upstairs and our group was able to catch up easily.
Cocktails were excellent, loved all the flavors and aromatics on the gin/tonic, daiquiri was refreshing, N/A's were also popular. I'd have to say the grilled lettuce hearts, roasted things, tuna tartare, Brussels sprouts and burger were the absolute biggest hits. Everything else was not quite to the level we'd expected. Scallops were good but quite small (a big presentation for 5 pieces), wings were non-descript, potatoes were fair, mushrooms were good but nothing unique. Chicken was a generous serving, although I didn't hear any comments on that.
I would recommend this to at least try it once... some really strong things going on here, but not sure I'd return for the price point and expectations.
Had an amazing time with my wife there. All the dishes were great but the best part was the service and ambiance. A great dining experience
Enjoyed watching the kitchen work their magic. The Chefs took real pride in their food.
A special restaurant for a special occasion. The service was top notch, and the food was truly delicious. All of it comes from the fire, so the flavor is unique and wonderful. I especially loved the mussels for a starter and the chive biscuits were out of this world. My husband had the pork chop (very yummy) and I had the petite sirloin (cooked to a perfect medium rare).
Would definitely recommend it for a lovely evening out with friends and family.
Great food, not just the same old tired food. Upscale and innovative.
Seated 25 minutes after our reservation, without a single apology. We told the server it was our first time at the restaurant, yet she didn't warn us that what we ordered wouldn't fill a small child's stomach. People sitting near us also commented about how small their portions were. The food itself wasn't bad, but we definitely left hungry.
Good food but more salt heavy than the previous time I was there.
Been there a few times. Everything I’ve tried has been fabulous.
Service was mediocre and it was so noisy it was hard to have a conversation.
We wanted to love it and maybe it was an off night. The services was great. The roasted things were different and very salty. I guess I was looking for more of a classic gnocchi dish (this was more like mashed potatoes and ground beef). The pot pie was the best part of the meal. We split everything to try some different dishes. Possibly, we ordered wrong. Might try it again. Sorry.
Great food, however food could have been warmer. Great service. Noise was a Bit loud initially. It became much more enjoyable as the meal progressed.
Chicken pot pie was a huge disappointment and the wine picked by our server was just so so.
The rest of the meal was good
Fabulous meal. Was given a free dessert because it was my birthday. A pleasant surprise. I was a solo diner the ala carte sides were inconvenient. Having said that I did have enough to bring food home. I would definitely return for a special occasion.
A delightful evening for my wife's birthday. Food and service were great, ambiance was cozy and comfortable. I am physically Handicapped to a certain degree, and the staff were very helpful in providing easily accessible seating. Definitely recommended!
Great food, and a lovely ambience! Would recommend.
The food was on point and delicious. Our server was fantastic. I love restaurants where everyone pitches in and the teamwork is evident. This is one of those places.
I took my wife here for her birthday and am so glad I did. We both loved the appetizers and the entrees. A word of caution on the wings. I love heat and usually when I don’t feel heat my wife is in trouble. I felt the heat on these. About a 4 on the 1-10 scale with 1 being jalapeños and 10 being reapers. She was coughing a bit and complaining of lips burning. That’s not a complaint. They were delicious and she agrees. But if black pepper bothers you, you’ve been warned.
The decor is fantastic and we loved the open kitchen with wood fires burning bright for chefs too cook over.
The drinks were also great.
All in all this is what we expected from a restaurant owned and operated by Thomas.
If you haven’t been, it’s a must go.
Truly a great meal. We dine out frequently and rarely have a “wow!” moment. This restaurant had many “Wow!” moments and had us promising to visit again within the week. Need I say more?!?
While the food was adequate, service was invasive and slow. Would not recommend.
Very accommodating. Our waitress was attentive, and delightful to interact with. Food was good and it wasn’t too noisy. We will go back.
The food was absolutely amazing! I've already recommended it to others.
We enjoyed a truly fantastic and memorable meal at In Bloom. Dinner for five, including a great bottle of Pinot Noir, Bread Service, Roasted Things, Porterhouse Steak (incredible!), Roasted Brussel Sprouts, Confit Potatoes, and Burgers. We rounded out our meal with delicious french press coffee, and shared the Hazelnut Chocolate Cake, which was good, and Sticky Toffee Pudding, which was fabulous.
Service from every staff person was attentive, helpful, and kind. We were upstairs and found the noise level slightly louder than we might prefer, but not bothersome. This meal was a splurge and well worth every penny we spent. Highly recommended, and we look forward to a return visit!
Our service was wonderful and attentive. Our table was a bit close to our neighbors though. They were loud and hard to have a conversation over.
Pleasantly surprised!!! We had tickets to an 8:00pm Wild game and I decided on a whim to make a reservation here to eat something other than bar or arena food. We had a counter seat which was amazing as you get to watch the bustle in the kitchen and see how everything is cooked on fire from logs. Everything about this experience was outstanding. The Old Fashioned (or 2 or 3) we ordered was really good! We had Salmon, Pork and mussels. Everything was cooked perfectly and so tasty! One tip is to give yourself time if you have something that you are headed to. Luckily our reservation was early so we weren't rushed and we spent a good 2 hours there.
Very nice place for a special dinner. It was my Gen-X niece's birthday so experience is as important as the food. The ambiance is super cool, she was able to get a mocktail that made her feel part of the adult party and the food was different from our usual haunts - just what we were looking for. Even though this place serves all separate plates (no meat with accompaniment/salad type dishes), there was plenty of food (we even had to resort to a doggie bag) and the resultant price was very reasonable. There were a lot of mushrooms in the dishes (I suspect because of the handiness of a mushroom purveyor in the building) and we love mushrooms so that was great. Wine list more than adequate with reasonably priced wine-by-glass offerings, a nice beer-on-tap list as well. Definitely a great place for a special dinner.
Food was fabulous - we sat on the mezzanine, which was nice and intimate - and the servers were very knowledgeable and helpful. Plus, being able to stroll around Keg & Case before and after was a great bonus for a winter evening!
Decent compact menu of fire-roasted apps, proteins, and sides at this attractive space in the Keg & Case market (part of the converted Schmidt’s complex). Prices make it more of a special-occasion or drinks-and-sides spot than a regular dinner destination, but the service, dinner, and drinks were all excellent. And the open-kitchen, fiery cooking makes for a cozy and entertaining side show.
We went on New Years Eve for the pre-fixe dinner. The food was very good, although the duck was fatty and tough. Even with my sharp knife I had problems (I’m not a duck fan so perhaps this is the norm). The scallop was excellent, but while the excessive pink salt under the shell was pretty ... it wasn’t necessary. The portion sizes hit the spot, but I especially appreciated the larger dessert portion. Excellent! This is our second visit and we will return again. I, for one, prefer this menu to the previous menu that focused more on game.
Excellent food and service
