We have loved Imoto for many years. Went Monday night before the Eagles concert. Had NO idea they had live music on Mondays. So loud you couldn’t talk or hear each other at dinner. Service was mediocre but food was delicious.
The food, drinks and service were outstanding. Unfortunately after we had been seated for about 15 mins. The live music started, right next to us. We could not hear ourselves think. I asked to be moved but I was told no tables available. I really liked imoto but the live music was irritating. And no I’m not over 60, I’m 35
We had an outstanding dinner here ahead of a concert at AAC. Would highly recommend!
Good service, good, food
One of the best sushi restaurants I’ve ever tried. Highly recommended.
Very unique menu items. The food was great and very fresh.
Food was not great. All sort of tasted same. Setting and ambiance as well as staff were great but food not worth the price. Lobster shooters only highlight.
We got a sushi sampler for 6 people plus drinks ( beer); our bill plus service was over 700 dollars.
The sushi was incredible but for this price tag definitely not worth it.All of our friends were wondering if the bill was Mistaken… we had to rush to a concert so couldn’t question manager..
Anyway, great food but really expensive
What a fantastic place! Great food and a friendly, efficient staff makes this one of my favorites. Highly recommend!
The food and service are top notch at Imoto! My favorite place to go before an event at AAC.
We missed seeing Chef Tim who is always welcoming. The shushi this time did not seem as fresh as I’ve had before and the drinks were tiny for the high price.
Great food and service. Drinks were awesome. It's just a shame how small the oysters are for the price.
Our service was great and the food was good. I'd definitely recommend the spicy toro roll and the lemongrass egg drop soup. My only complaint was that our table was literally 6" away from the next table on both sides. We had to push the table to the side just to get in and felt like I was apart of the conversations on both sides of us.
Very fresh fish and amazing food! I tried the lobster shots for the first time, and I highly recommend them. Noah was an awesome waiter and made the night really fun. I also love the Duke sushi roll!
Absolutely LOVE this place! Very elegant, wonderful food, and great service. The hostesses were INCREDIBLY nice and accommodating….
Korean Fried chicken and Crunchy Tuna roll were both phenomenal
Service was great, food was very good, ambiance was quite nice!
Awesome spot. Lounge vibes with good house music. The sushi was 10/10, fresh, warm rice, incredible flavors. One of the best shrimp tempura rolls I’ve ever had in my life. The cocktails were pretty lackluster - overly sweet and not very strong. The Wagyu prime rib was pretty significantly over-cooked, which was disappointing, but highly recommend the brussel sprouts and dim sum sampler.
The food was amazing.
We came back to Imoto because our first dining experience was so amazing. It’s hard to believe that they could surpass the first visit but they did! Leah was our server again and remembered us from our prior visit. I was totally amazed because it was months ago! We will for sure be back!! Hoping we get Leah again as our server!!
Chef Jimmy is the best! The sushi is so fresh and flavorful. The brussel sprouts and hot rock are great too! Staff is very friendly and attentive too! Highly recommend
Overall the service was terrible due to our waiter not having knowledge of the menu, hardly coming around to wait on us, then he added a 20% gratuity to our tab when he was undeserving of a $100 tip. The food has gone down hill, and there was hardly anyone there at primetime Thursday. This used to be a great restaurant. We will not be coming back unless they make some changes.
Imoto takes freshness to an unparalleled place with its clubby and convivial sushi bar. Chef Jimmy and and the rest of the crew craft fresh wasabi, just-flown-in Japanese seafood and creative Pan-Asian cuisine into memorable, mouth-watering delights. Standouts on this first of many future visits included a vibrant spring role with just a hint of umami-inducing duck, all served with a spicy peanut sauce. The baby snapper-- cured on kelp for 24 hours-- delivered a delectable, mildly sweet surprise. And Chef Jimmy's delicate relish concoction gave the Spanish Mackerel a palate cleansing perfection.
Delish & different stylish presentations!! We enjoyed
As usual the food was top notch; best sushi in Dallas. The service is impeccable. They cater to your ever need and remember from previous visits your preferences. Their attention to detail and customer service is unmatched and the food is even better.
Restaurant was overcrowded and understaffed. Poor waiters are so overworked there but they were very good. Two people working hostess stand and not helping. Music too loud. They need to lower their capacity and give they’re employees a break!
Food was outstanding.
We celebrated my sons birthday there. He loves sushi Our server Leah made sure he had the nest time. She brought Japanese sodas for all the kids and brought him so nigiri to try different things. And of course the food was amazing as always.
Excellent ambiance and food is great. The owner is doing a great job
Great dinner, friendly and hardworking staff! Food was delicious!
Service was great!!! Sushi was fresh and tasty!
The most wonderful experience and food. Truly a great ambiance and lovely, kind staff who keeps things lively and fun.
We had such an amazing experience! Staff was so attentive, food was amazing and the decor was amazing. Will definitely be back!
always a great experience with chef jimmy!
Never disappoints! Always our go-to place for date night or entertaining guests.
Best food and service that I've had in a long time. Worth it 100 percent.
When we first arrived the hostess station was empty and no staff even acknowledged us as they walked past. When the hostess arrived she was extremely curt, short, and seemed extremely bothered by our presence. Once we were seated we noticed the noise level was “club like” and made it difficult to carry on a conversation. Our waiter appeared to be over faced with several tables and he was unfortunately not knowledgeable on the menu. When we asked about certain items, he stated “I haven’t tried that” or “I’m not sure”.
We placed our order and were unimpressed with the food once it arrived. The food was extremely over sauced and was just not good. With sushi, we expect a level of freshness and we did not receive it. The pacing was terrible and our waiter came to the table twice in an hour we were there.
With so many better options for sushi in Dallas, we left and went to another restaurant to finish our date.
Avoid at all cost and try Uchi or Uchiba for good sushi.
