Went before a concert and had great service and great food. Highly recommend!
The wine was tasty, the sushi was delicious, the ambiance was classy, but casual and the overall experience was fantastic. We will definitely be back.
Having shared plates at a high top was a wonderful way to get ready for a Dallas Stars game. Our server was fantastic as well as the food.
Beautiful dinner at Imoto Dallas with the executive chief Jimmy. The sushi and sashimi are delicious and the plating presentation are superb!
Randomly found this place on Opentable and wasn’t sure what to expect. Food was absolutely delicious. We loved the rolls so much we ended up ordering a second round. It was that good.
Only downside was the server was really uninformed about the menu and couldn’t offer any suggestions on dishes. Regardless, the quality of the food was good enough to make us return in our next trip to Dallas.
Second time at the restaurant. Like concept and food. Dump the pumpkin spice creme brulee dessert and bring back the original. Even the waiter staff does not recommend. Give it up.
Overpriced for what you get. I’ve had better sushi for way less prices. Though, overall had a good time with my friend, we tried a lot of different menu items and overall it was just okay.
Great place. Great food. Great service. Love the place. Had an issue with a $300 gift card I bought late last year so suggest customers not get a gift card. They said they had a change of computer system but it was a problem. Time consuming. Awkward. Glad I brought the gift card receipt with me.
The bartender was great in helping us find a special wine.
The table we were allocated was in the passageway to both the kitchen and restrooms so we kept getting bumped by people walking past.
Also the table is too small, when one has a wine cooler and is trying to share multiple plates it just does not work. We had to put the wine and water bottle and candle on the floor.
There we a number of unused larger tables!
We also requested a private table when we booked and then they gave is probably the least private table in the restaurant, so it is not clear whether entering special requests in one’s booking actually is considered?
Not that great. The service was pretty good at the bar but the food was not very good at all. As far as ambiance, the bar is right by the front door, which detracts heavily from an ambiance they are trying to convey.
As for the food, the Toro nigiri was not very good, not a high quality piece as I expected. Very pink. The toro roll was made of minced fish, why minced? Probably scraps. The fried chicken appetizer was disgusting. Described as "gochujang butter and a spicy soy glaze" but it tasted like sweet potato soup with maple syrup covered chicken dropped into it. It was horrible and absolutely not as described. The 'dim sum' dumplings were nothing like dim sum, which should be small, light dumplings. These oversized sacks of meat were absolutely stuffed with rich fillings and falling apart. The spider roll was simply not up to par. I live out in a rural town of less than 80k people and the frozen sushi here is a notch above these guys...
Decent sushi rolls and dim sum, ridiculously small portions, unjustifiably expensive...
You can get much, much better experiences at other Japanese and Asian restaurants in Dallas.
Great food and lively atmosphere
Love this spot to treat myself or for special occasions with friends in town.
This is our all time favorite Dallas restaurant.
The food is excellent and the vibe is global and the food explodes in your mouth with many awesome flavors!
When I come to Dallas this is the first place we go to eat great food ! Yum 😋
Enily and the MOD were the epitome of hospitable, I felt like I ran into an old friend. Emily was able to guide us through the whole dining experience perfectly and was respectful of our time constraint. Will be back.
Richard was great! All the staff was wonderful as well! What a great meal! so service oriented! quality recommendations and great personalities to interact with!
Makes me so grateful since Jesus has changed my life 3.5 years ago and he came to earth not to be served, but to serve.
Thank you all.
Great place to unwind and have great food! Enjoyed sitting at the bar and sushi was extremely fresh!
Everything was wonderful. The yellowtail sashimi is fabulous - like a crude with a wonderful citrus ponzu. Short rib potstickers also amazing. We ordered a bunch of smaller plates and did not have a miss on any of them.
Chef Stephen McHugh is the man. Super nice and the food is rocking. Way to go!!!
Birthday dinner for my niece. Food and service were outstanding.
The owner was so amazing to us and the food was great!
Fish was soooo fresh!
We had another wonderful experience at Imoto. The food, the ambience, the service in all of it was wonderful. IMoto truly is one of the best Asian restaurants in the city. The sushi is fresh, delicious and the other dishes on the menu are incredible. This is one of those sushi restaurants you can take your non-sushi eating friends too and they can find a wonderful selection of alternatives.
Best sushi in Dallas with unbelievable atmosphere and service.
One of the best restaurants in Dallas without hesitation.
Our food was beyond delicious and beautifully presented.
Our server Eddie made our dining experience over the top with his incredible knowledge of the menu and cocktail recommendations.
A perfect evening. Highly recommend!
Excellent service, absolutely wonderful food and we loved the ambiance! Kudos to all of the employees and all that trained them! Very enjoyable, once again! We WILL be back!!
BEST SUSHI IN DALLAS!
Inventive pan-asian food. Nice ambience. Solid, attentive service. Some items a bit pricey but that is to be expected!
We went there prior to the Eric Clapton crossroads guitar festival. Having traveled extensively to japan I have to say this was one of my best Sushi bar experiences anywhere. Jimmy, is responsible for that part of the resturant and he took care of us making an already great night even better!! Every taste of food was fantastic. The entire staff was highly attentive but in a non intrusive way, made us feel like regulars from the moment we walked in. Next time I am in Dallas, I will make sure to enjoy Jimmys great food again.
Food was divine. Restaurant went out of their way to make it special for my husbands birthday. Most importantly the fish was exceptionally fresh and just melted in your mouth. Highly recommend lobster shooters. We were even fortune to meet the chef Kent Rathburn! Excellent experience- highly recommend. Will not disappoint
The menu was unclear to me in terms of price. For first timers our waiter did not seem enthusiastic or excited to welcome us or explain what is good to eat, drink, etc. Overall a very expensive place for an underwhelming experience.
Amazing food! Bartender was awesome and gave us great recommendations. Everything was delicious!
Had a great meal to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The live soft shell crab was really good and the rolls were delicious.
A great menu, great for sharing, and amazing flavors. It’s a must try in Dallas. The wine & spirits selection was excellent too.
The food here is mediocre, at best. Plenty better sushi restaurants in and around Dallas.
Great food. Great service. Beautiful decor. It was a bit too loud when we were there. They had a DJ running club music that took away from the vibe a little bit. Had it been a touch less loud, it would have been perfect.
Portions were tiny. High prices. Service was bad, very very slow.
Great food, attentive service, and a great atmosphere. we love imoto
After meeting chef Steve McHugh at the MeatFight 1K event earlier this month, we wanted to try out Imoto and "give back" to him and the restaurant for their support. Well, I'm SO glad that we did. We stopped in for some food/beverages before going to a birthday party. Even though we shared appetizers (Little Sister's Korean Fried Chicken, Tempura Lobster "Shooters", Lamb Samosas, Wagyu Short Rib Potstickers) and a couple glasses of wine at a high top table/chairs in the bar area, it was VERY delicious and filling! I know it was fairly early (5:45pm) for the Saturday evening crowd, but it was quiet enough to relax, talk, and enjoy the food and drink. Everyone was VERY attentive (hostesses, wait staff, etc) and we'll definitely be coming back again to try more!
