excellent sashimi, outstanding ambiance, killer bar
It was very loud but the food was great.
Pre concert cocktails and dinner. Awesome as always.
Tried Imoto for the first time Friday night before a concert. We let our server chose for us—- he did not disappoint! We shared the sticky pig and Brussels sprouts, Korean fried chicken and the Imoto roll. All wonderful! Atmosphere is great... we will be back!
The minute we walked in the atmosphere was great. Jimmy, the Chef was amazing. He hooked us up with the Korean fried chicken, a must try. We also feasted on some great sushi creations. We will go back again and again. Another Winner for Kent !
The only draw back that we could see was that one of the sushi rolls that we ordered were rather fishy tasting. I e been exposed to many different sushi variations and this one was sub par.
Had a great dinner here before the Mavs game. The food was delicious, the dumplings were a favorite. Will definitely be back!
The food wasn't good, and there's too much fusion going on that it lost its original Japanese flavor.
Our waiter, Rob, was exceptional. His recommendations were spot on since this was our first visit.
Everything was delicious. It was a lovely environment, which was conducive for conversation.
Khang, our server, was knowledgeable, attentive and terrific in every way. This was our first time eating at Imoto, and we were a bit unsure about our choices. Khang advised us on what we’d like and our meal was fantastic.
The food was really delicious. The plating was beautiful, the flavors and heat levels were on point. Will dine here again.
One of the best restaurants around. Everything was top notch from the minute we walked in until we left. Absolutely loved the food. The server really knows the food and drinks and was able to give us the story about any plate we asked about. Amazing! Will go back again and again. Worth every penny!
The venue is completely refurbished and is clean and comfortable. The food is fabulous and several notches above good.
Love this place so much!!! Best Asian flavors in town! Wagyu potstickers our of this world!
First time at the restaurant. Will return again. Enjoyed the fact that they bring out the plates hot once available. Good system.
it was really yummy and we had a lot of fun
The staff offered a great experience. We had the waygu beef gyozas, sashimi, egg drop soup, and the Imoto roll. Oh and the hibiscus sangria is amazing!
I was on time for our reservation and you guys just emailed me to say I didn’t show up. The entrance smelled like chortling and the food was just ok. Waiter was nice but the hostess was not prepared and obviously did not check us in. Please address so my profile is not flagged for an unwarranted reason.
My husband and I went out for our date night and the food was great and our waitress was fabulous. We will definitely k. The fried rice was interesting and great!
Enjoyed a fantastic dinner before a concert at the AAC. Our waiter was exceptional. We would follow Kent Rathbun just about anywhere! The food was great! So glad to see his new version of lobster shooters! Yum!
Imoto is AMAZING!😃. The food is fresh and savory. I love the shareable small plates and you get plenty. Their crispy Brussels sprouts are a must as is the wagyu beef roll. I love everything about Imoto.
We celebrated a girls birthday dinner here and couldn’t have chosen a better location. Kent can over to our table, took pictures with us, and made us feel so special. The food was AMAZING! Can’t wait to return.
We had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary at Imoto. We were seated in a quiet upstairs area that looked out over the giant origami cranes and was lit with pale pink and blue lighting. Our waiter was very attentive and helped us navigate the menu throughout the night. Think of this place as Asian tapas. We chose a handful of warm bites and sushi pieces and rolls for our meal. Everything met our expectations and a few blew us away. It was a fun evening and I would love to go back soon!
I booked a table because I was given a $25 off card...then the bartender gave me a $20 off card...then the waiter gave me a $25 off card...the the car valet gave me another $25 off card...all of them expired. But the bartender told me they would always accept them regardless. No wonder the place was packed on a Thursday night!
Wow. We all have our own list of favorite restaurants in Dallas because of their great food, service or atmosphere. This was my first time at Imoto and it was 5-stars in each of these areas. My family thought I was a genius for picking this Rathbun restaurant!
Overall good food but extremely pricey.
Was a great meal. Incredible food and service.
The food was good but over priced for what you got. The chef brought food to our table and introduced himself that was nice. The drinks were delicious. The wait staff was kind of slow. It was described as family style but it is not really a family style of entrée just the sides.
Always great!! We asked for a booth through Open Table but didn’t get one ..
would have been better celebrating in a booth
Other wise - Wonderful ‘
The food was delicious! A little pricey compared to other sushi restaurants in town (except for Uchi or Nobu). Ordered chicken fried rice and it did not come out until 25 minutes after we finished our last dish. The waiter comped that so I greatly appreciated it. Definitely would recommend if you're going to a concert or a Mavs game!
Wonderful food, service and ambiance. Look forward to going back again.
The food was amazing!
The sushi was very good, the rest of the food we tried was fried and heavy. The brussel sprouts were just friend leaves and bacon.
Great vibe and excellent food choices. Really recommend the Little Sister dish
Very average. A little disappointed at the lack of flexibility to the menu. Server was great, and some of our dishes were very good, but didn’t meet the expectations.
Valentine’s Day. The Valentine’s menu was not inventive. The food The nontraditional Japanese was excellent! Lobster shooters and bbq chicken were a hit. Japanese was palatable. Ambiance was tepid and Service was slow. We didn’t order dessert- we just didn’t feel like it - - not even for Valentine’s Day!
Food was fantastic but we have come to expect that from Kent and John. It was really cool that Kent was walking the room greeting people. Great atmosphere. We will be back for sure!
We had a variety of sushi menu items and everything we had was outstanding. I also tried the chocolate dessert and WOW. It was a great experience. I recommend 100% and will be back.
First time Imoto diners. Food was excellent and Khang was a great waiter.
