If you are group of 2 you will be not enjoing the actual restaurant ambient. They will put you to a side part where you feel as if you are in a different restaurant..

Love Middle Eastern food so eager to try this. We were going to the theatre so ended up being in kind of a rush- about 1 hr for dinner. They totally accommodated us which was appreciated.
Service was very good and pleasant. We had the hummus, salad, tabouli, falafel, and 1 other dish. Portions were much larger than expected so a fair amount was wasted-not a complaint but something to be aware of. Would definitely return next time in NYC.

The food is good but it doesn't quite make up for the poor service. We had a reservation but were asked to sit in the lounge area while they got a table ready. We were there 10 minutes before they brought us to a table that was literally at the entrance to the dining area. There were about 3 other tables with people sitting at them, so not sure what the delay was about. Then our server was just inattentive. There was nothing egregious, but we had to ask for lemon twice, then flag him down to bring another bottle of sparkling water, and then wound up asking someone else for the check since we couldn't even spot him. So, probably won't be back anytime soon despite the tasty food.

We brought out-of-town friends and they loved it.

Great food. Easy to share items available. Suggest when offering tap or sparkling should be informed it is a large bottle when only one person want sparkling. Waiter not very friendly did not show interest in us Saw the waiter very infrequently. With a more attentive waiter I would rate this place better

An expensive meal that wasn't worth it at all - below average experience overall. Overpriced food that lacked flavor. Interesting menu and take on dishes, but doesn't taste good sadly. Ended with an interesting description dessert and were hopeful after the disappointing food - ordered falafel, grape leaves, lamb appetizer, eggplant starter, gnocchi vegetarian dish and scallops main course. The eggplant was the only thing we liked and the gnocchi was the worst. The pita pillows dessert was extremely disappointing - fried crust with cheese that had absolutely no flavor. Overall below par service as well. Our waiter hardly attended to us and another sweet lady kept taking our order instead. Ambience is the only thing that was nice.

Certainly great lebanese food for someone who is not lebanese. If my mom ate this food and saw those prices, she would walk out immediately. Lebanese food is simple food. No complicated ingredients, or technique. These prices are WAY too high. Matter of fact, this place is more expensive than the best restaurant in Beirut!!!
So... if you're non lebanese, i reccommend. If you are Lebanese, go visit your mama.

Great restaurant. The food was authentic Lebanese, and I mean really authentic. I am Lebanese and have lived in the States for many years, and I can honestly say that this is the first time I have tasted real Lebanese food in this country.

I was a bit disappointed with the host. She took us to a table that was in a crappy location, and when I called her on it, she gave me a bit of attitude. Ultimately, we did get a good table, and everything else, from the food to the service, was exceptional.

Highly recommended!

The food is good... not great. Service is well done. Wine list is lacking, but they are featuring Lebanese cocktails. This is a fun place for large groups.

I’ve been to the restaurant several times, but I remember the food being much better several years ago.
The scallop entree was quite delicious, scallops cooked perfectly and nice flavor combinations.
However, the starters (other than the octopus) were underwhelming -cheese rolls eh, the labneh and olives were good, the eggplant moussaka was way too cold and flavorless and the dessert of fig frangipane tart was really boring —like something you’d see at a school bake sale.
Lebanese savignon Blanc was quite nice..all in all, not anywhere near as exciting as it used to be.

My daughter and I met here for a special dinner while she was in town on business for one night. I wanted to choose somewhere convenient with a cool vibe and interesting food. It met all my hopes and expectations. We both loved it! A new favorite for us for sure.

Server ordered for us and coursed our meal. We had a few food allergies that Lauren and the kitchen were able to work around. She explained every dish fully and made everyone at the table, especially my grandmother celebrating her first birthday since Grandpa passed, feel like a star.

Fun wine list, easily accommodates our group of 5, server was a bit distracted but very friendly. Brussel sprouts were super sweet, but food overall was tasty for the cuisine style. A fun Flatiron find.

Very over priced with poor food and poor service. I had hummus, some uninteresting chicken dish, and two drinks for $90 after tip. Even for NYC it was a ripoff. Waiter acted uninterested and was very non-attentive.

This was not my first time at ilili so when I came back to town I was excited at the possibility of eating great Lebanese food and enjoying great company.

However we waited fifteen minutes at the table before we even saw a server but that was only
after we flagged on down so we could order drinks. The man who stepped into help us was not our server, and very friendly. But he was only our server long enough to order some food and and drinks. All other items were ordered with what I can only assume was a food runner.

The table on either side of us were served with great staff but my friend and I felt the food was awesome but our service when compared to the tables around us was more than lacking.

When we ordered we asked for the food to be spread out and not served all at once as we ordered many appetizers. The food came in record speed. Our waiter never came to fill our water glasses never asked how food was. Ilili is a very good restaurant but it will be a long time until I will go back again

Don't order your small plates and entrée at the same time or you'll be rushed. We had to send the second course back when it came out and we weren't finished with the first. But they did take it back so all was ok. Expensive for what it is.

The food was kind of mediocre. I got the falafel (fine, but a bit tough) and the scallops. Scallops themselves were cooked to perfection but the hummus and pomegranate flavorings were not good, and made for an odd flavor profile

Went for dinner and it was way too loud for conversation. I left with a sore throat from screaming as though I just got out of a rock concert. I've been there for lunch once and noise level was acceptable. Dont think I'd ever go back for dinner.

The Lebanese wine and beer selection didn't cut it for us. Nor did the service .
The wait staff in inattentive and it took ages to get our drinks. The food was good helping making up for the well meaning but not inattentive staff.

I was expecting so much more from this restaurant, but the whole experience wasn't great. The place is trying too hard to be like a Lebanese Hakkasan, but failing. The menu looked good but too many of the dishes were over dressed, too salty or smothered in sauce. We sat in a side annex which felt like an afterthought and looked like a tent. The bill was expensive for what we had – over $150 for just four very average meze and four glasses of wine. There are must better places to spend your money on an evening out in NYC.
