Fancy Lebanese food in Nomad.
One of the best restaurants in NYC. Excellent for group meals, looking forward to coming back soon!
Amazing food ambience and service. Please add more variety for sweets esp with kunafa bin jibne
Very expensive. Not worth the price
It was completely enjoyable and delicious! We had excellent service too.
Wonderful food- ordered at least 12 plates- no weak dishes.
My boyfriend and I went during Valentines day so there was a set pri fixe menu. From the moment we walked in everyone we encountered were very kind and attentive. We were seated right on time and the overall service was quick. They started us off with a salmon roe katiyef which was devine. We each got to order two apps each. My personal favorite was the kibbeh niyeh which is a steak tartare. It was absolutely amazing! Our entree’s were both the mixed grill which was cooked to perfection. We ended it with dessert which consisted of my boyfriend getting the moleten cake and myself with the kanafe. I’m middle eastern so I have had some amazing kanafe in my life, but this was truly great! Overall it was a great experience and I was happy we enjoyed it!
It was a great atmosphere. The food was amazing. The only bad thing was the seating arrangement
Got put in the back room. Didn't feel like they valued guests equally. Maybe OpenTable folks got worse tables?
We went on Valentine’s day, really abundant and delicious food!
ok loved it? it was so good
Fantastic, as always
It's been a few years since I've dined at ilili and a lot of things have changed. Fortunately, every change made, made this dining experience even better than the last.
The decor and ambiance of the restaurant has not changed and I'm glad it hasn't. The wood work and the mix of contemporary trims with classic accents really make the restaurant have character. It's quite a piece of art.
The server that we had that night was one of the best I've had in quite a while. He had full knowledge of the menu, gave us the perfect amount of recommendations, and had just the right amount of intrusiveness that let us know he was our server without making us feel like we were hovered over. Drinks were never empty, plates were always clean, food came out perfectly timed. People, the kitchen doesn't always control the flow of food. Servers make that happen too.
The food.... where do I begin. We had 11 mezza, 3 entrees, and 3 desserts. For a party of 4, it's a lot of food but we finished almost everything clean.
When I am in NYC I go here with two of my childhood friends for lunch. It is always excellent in every respect. This time we were seated in the most far-back, hidden area by ourselves. Maybe we are starting to look old?
I had good, but not excellent food. Service is a bit slow. The place is lively and energetic. Prices are too high.
We've eaten here before. We really enjoy the mezza plates - the Middle Eastern food. It's all freshly prepared, tasty, authentic, served with very good pita bread. We occasionally try the entrees, but they can be pricey.
The service is very good.
Outstanding food, outstanding service from Kris, great atmosphere. This restaurant is our favorite Middle Eastern restaurant. The Brussels sprouts and duck shawarma are outstanding. I wish that the wine prices were not so steep.
Food was decent, waiter was barely decent, seat was terrible even though we reserved a week in advance. Most of the staff was rude. Next time I'll just eat street pizza and I'll have a better time.
The ambiance, the food, the drinks were all wonderful. Everything was absolutely delicious. This was a special night for my husband and I and we were not disappointed. The only negative was that the service at the table to take the orders was slow. However we were not in any sort of a hurry so no harm. We were not in the main room as that is mainly for groups. We were in a side room which basically had table of 2, quite close together. I will definitely return but with a larger group of friends. The bar area is fantastic and the lady mixologist was amazing. Great cocktails! Highly recommend the meatball starter and the cauliflower starter - YUMMY!
We made a reservation based on the pictures we saw of the restaurant. We expected to sit in the main dining room but were placed in a smaller room upstairs. The atmosphere and decor in that room were not nearly as nice as downstairs. We were also a bit disappointed with the quality of the service. The food came out quick but the staff made several mistakes along the way.
The food itself was good, but not as good as we expected based on the reviews. Perhaps our expectations were too high. The portion sizes were also quite small, so not worth it for the price.
We would give it another chance but would definitely have to sit downstairs for a better experience.
Ililli is the finest Lebanese/Mediterranean food in NYC. The menu is filled with so many wonderful choices that you have to go more than once.
Amazing food, absolutely delicious. The portions were a bit small for the price - the cauliflower mezze only had three florets on it and the kafte entre looked more like a tapas. The service was also a bit slow - but the food and drinks were good so we didn't mind lingering.
We were there for a weekend brunch. Food wasn't as fresh and good as before, and certainly not worth the price! Service was great, perhaps because the restaurant was half empty.
The food was fantastic. Great Lebanese ambiance. Great staff. Only reason it’s not 5 stars is because of the price. Everything seems to be 10-20% more expensive than it needs to be.
Amazing food! It was our first taste of Lebanese cuisine — very tasty and heavy, but definitely impressive. Their sauces are totally on point & memorable. The plates are quite hearty so we were able to taste most of the restaurant week menu amongst a group of 4. I was so hungry I pretty much scarfed down the appetizers & had no room for main, so I had to take home 3/4 of my lamb. They are generous with the meat portions, but do not ignore the veggie dishes as those turned out to be my favorites, surprisingly. Our server was really cute, friendly, and well versed with the menu so that was a nice plus. Drinks are on the expensive side, but to me the food was a great value for pre fixe. Bathrooms are also really clean & cozy. Def recommend this place!! 👍🏼
The people that greet you were not welcoming. We arrived 5 minutes early and they were shocked. We got seated 20 minutes after our reservation. The waiter made up for it because he was very nice. I felt they were unprepared for restaurant week. We did not eat in the main area. We ate in a small room which I did not like. The food was ok, nothing special. The night started off terrible because of the way we were greeted.
ilili is a naturally inviting restaurant for savvy people of finessed dining in NYC with its people, ambiance and unmatched taste of Eastern Mediterranean food. Philippe deserves to be commended for not compromising the quality and presentation of his menu at the demanding size and scale of ilili. Surely, it is highly recommended for special occasions and regular dining experience.
Always a pleasure for my tastebuds!
The food was amazing as always. The only problem is that we were 7 people. I couldn't make a reservation for all of us, so I divided the group. When we got there, they told us upfront that they were not able to set us together or even close to each other. We understood. But the place was empty when we arrived. I brought it up and they told me that they couldn't do anything. There were takes big enough for all of us that remained empty during our whole time there... I live in NY and I understand that it is not always easy... They didn't even tried. But again, food is amazing and service on the table was extremely good.
Fabulous food and decor.
I've had a lot of mediterranean and lebanese food growing up but Ilili did not impress me. The chicken was amazing but for everything else, I've had better noteworthy food for less cost. I like my hummus more creamy, warmer bread, less salt in the dishes. The service was great but the table across us couldn't see the menu so he had turn on his flashlight on his iphone for about 20 mins. The bright light facing our table and the one next to us was was terribly painful to endure. Yet, after we told one of the waiters, nothing was done about it. It ruined our dining experience.
I love this restaurant, but for me it's far better for lunch when it's quieter and you can relax, enjoy the food and the decor. Dinner is another story. It's often jammed, especially around the bar area, and for some unknown reason the prices are sky-high. $48 for lamb chops? Steak for two $110?
Totally not worth it. If you do go for dinner, opt instead for the small plates, called meze. But do be careful not to over order, those prices will add up in a hurry.
Good quality food and nice ambiance. The waiter knew a lot about the dishes and was explaining the subtilities of how to best taste the food. Coctails had surprising taste but in a very positive way. Will definitely come back!
Don't walk, run to dinner. Food is terrific and the service excellent
My first meal there, inspired by Restaurant Week, was excellent all around. Delightful waiter, attentive service, delicious & fragrant food. Will definitely return!
I love ilili, it's a great restaurant, and I have been going there for years. But, the quantity of food has declined, as in my favorite brussel sprouts dish. Also, the waiter kind of pushed us to order a main, which we didn't end up doing. Having a taste of a range of dishes is still one of the best ways to eat there. Also, the main dishes have escalated in price, with one entree at $72.
Outstanding food and wine.
Classic Lebanese cuisine with a creative touch and excellent presentation.
Go somewhere else - the service was beyond terrible and our waiter had a major attitude problem as if we were annoying him. Food was decent. It was also freezing (everyone was shivering).
I really enjoyed the experience at Ilili. The food was great (my favorites being the steak tartare and the Knafe). I already recommended this restaurant to a few of my friends -- we hope to come soon.
I had been there before and thought the food was outstanding. This time, it was just eh. Maybe it was our choices but I was disappointed. Wine list could be a lot better, too.
