ilili Ratings and Reviews
Excellent service , our waitress Tara went out of her way to accommodate us , it was a fabulous evening overall , the tapas portions were just right and delicious ...kebab , shawarma , fallafel and too many others to name , look forward to dining here again
Superb Lebanese cuisine . We loved all the starters . Mixed grill was great. Octopus excellent. Warm eggplants and Brussels sprouts very good. We had a very good Lebanese cabaret Sauvignon . Good service. We sat upstairs which was a little more quiet than downstairs but which was better for us as we could talk without yelling.
Will definitely come back!
We were seated upstairs in the more secluded area which was great for conversation as it was very quiet, but we weren't given the choice and I wasn't even aware there was an upstairs from my previous visits. We had a great night, i just wish my guests could have chosen if they preferred the more social seating downstairs or quiet upstairs.
It was my first time having Lebanese food and it was absolutely amazing! Mixed grill is a good choice to try a variety of popular meat dishes. It was delicious. The Phoenician fries were phenomenal. Came with a very tasty garlic dip. The falafel and hummus were both amazing. Service was great too!
Delicious small plates, with better value than the mains. Nice ambiance and vegetarian friendly, definitely a bit lively with regards to noise level. Not cheap, but with 4 apps and a main for two people at $100 tax and tip in, it's a nice spot for a special occasion or date night.
Fine Lebanese cuisine with authentic flavors and excellent ingredients. The service was perfect.we liked the kibbe naye and the fattouch. The roasted Brussels Sprouts dish was a little bit sweet for me. We all enjoyed the beef shawarma and the stuffed grape leaves.
Love Middle Eastern food so eager to try this. We were going to the theatre so ended up being in kind of a rush- about 1 hr for dinner. They totally accommodated us which was appreciated.
Service was very good and pleasant. We had the hummus, salad, tabouli, falafel, and 1 other dish. Portions were much larger than expected so a fair amount was wasted-not a complaint but something to be aware of. Would definitely return next time in NYC.
The food is good but it doesn't quite make up for the poor service. We had a reservation but were asked to sit in the lounge area while they got a table ready. We were there 10 minutes before they brought us to a table that was literally at the entrance to the dining area. There were about 3 other tables with people sitting at them, so not sure what the delay was about. Then our server was just inattentive. There was nothing egregious, but we had to ask for lemon twice, then flag him down to bring another bottle of sparkling water, and then wound up asking someone else for the check since we couldn't even spot him. So, probably won't be back anytime soon despite the tasty food.
Great food. Easy to share items available. Suggest when offering tap or sparkling should be informed it is a large bottle when only one person want sparkling. Waiter not very friendly did not show interest in us Saw the waiter very infrequently. With a more attentive waiter I would rate this place better
An expensive meal that wasn't worth it at all - below average experience overall. Overpriced food that lacked flavor. Interesting menu and take on dishes, but doesn't taste good sadly. Ended with an interesting description dessert and were hopeful after the disappointing food - ordered falafel, grape leaves, lamb appetizer, eggplant starter, gnocchi vegetarian dish and scallops main course. The eggplant was the only thing we liked and the gnocchi was the worst. The pita pillows dessert was extremely disappointing - fried crust with cheese that had absolutely no flavor. Overall below par service as well. Our waiter hardly attended to us and another sweet lady kept taking our order instead. Ambience is the only thing that was nice.
Certainly great lebanese food for someone who is not lebanese. If my mom ate this food and saw those prices, she would walk out immediately. Lebanese food is simple food. No complicated ingredients, or technique. These prices are WAY too high. Matter of fact, this place is more expensive than the best restaurant in Beirut!!!
So... if you're non lebanese, i reccommend. If you are Lebanese, go visit your mama.
Great restaurant. The food was authentic Lebanese, and I mean really authentic. I am Lebanese and have lived in the States for many years, and I can honestly say that this is the first time I have tasted real Lebanese food in this country.
I was a bit disappointed with the host. She took us to a table that was in a crappy location, and when I called her on it, she gave me a bit of attitude. Ultimately, we did get a good table, and everything else, from the food to the service, was exceptional.
