We’re honored to share the cuisine and culture of Lebanon in the heart of New York City. Since 2007, our home in the Flatiron District has introduced the passion and generosity of the Lebanese table to hundreds of thousands of curious diners while comforting native Lebanese guests with a celebration of their homeland and values. Owner and Executive Chef Philippe Massoud expertly crafts a sophisticated blend of modern and traditional Lebanese cuisine drawing influences from the span of the ancient Silk Road trade routes.
Our warm and generous hospitality drives our mission to make every guest and team member feel genuinely welcomed and fundamentally honored.
We are here to share; to pass fresh pita bread and mezze amongst old friends and new; to celebrate life and its delicious bounty. We invite you to experience our old world hospitality, timeless generosity, and tireless dedication to uncovering and sharing the rich traditions of Lebanon and the Levant.

Lovely meal and a great brunch option that’s a bit different from the usual fare. Amazing vegan and vegetarian options, super accommodating staff.
First class in every way. I really like the quiet atmosphere with no loud music. The food is so good. Highest quality and delicious.
Food was great and service was good. However, they were running very late. We weren’t seated until 30 minutes after our reservation time, which was very unprofessional. They made no acknowledgement of their mistake. We didn’t ask for any food or drink to be comped (which it wasn’t) however, it would have been nice to at least receive cocktail service while waiting for a half hour in their lounge. Apart from the poor start we quite enjoyed the food and found the restaurant to have good ambiance.
Food just ok. Not good value. Super loud - difficult to have conversation.
Everything was perfect. Waitress was very knowledgeable, polite and friendly. Food was amazing. Highly recommend.
Delicious kippi naye and baba ganoush,
They did not acknowledge our anniversary even though I mentioned ahead of time
Loved the food!! Great service. Loved the space. Hated the loud raucous music. We couldn’t hear each other talk
Each dish was fantastic! Authentic and absolutely amazing! Highly recommend.
Great food. Great service. We will definitely be back.
My daughter and I were visiting the city and wanted to try something different. After looking into several different kinds of restaurants near our hotel we chose Ilili. We had never had Lebanese food before and wanted to give a new experience a try. The evening was excellent in all ways. The restaurant has a beautiful decor; the service very friendly and attentive; and the food was delicious. The only problem was that after sharing 4 appetizers we had no room left for a main course. I look forward to going back.
Food is excellent. Good service. However owners should invest in maintaining and upgrading appearance of the inside: a lot of wood is damaged not just walls but also doors. Also a more Lebanese ambiance would be great.
booked this restaurant for a nice dinner with friends and work colleagues.
great lebanese food. authentic.
As always food was great and service was amazing.
If you need to talk over dinner , ask for a quieter side room. And bring your appetite. It’s phenomenal food.
Exception food. Fabulous and attentive staff.
We celebrated my husband's birthday at ilili (middle eastern is one of his favorite cuisines). Went during the week. It was packed, a lot of afterwork people and a few large parties. We were seated right away. Our waiter was extremely attentive, did not skip a beat. Tried Lebanese wine with the dinner (our particular selection was tart and dry). All dishes were quite flavorful and beautifully presented. We tried the falafel (delicate), steak tartare (extremely finely ground and served with jalapenos), trout (lots of flavor) and grape leaves (quite good and stuffed with lamb). Highly recommend this place.
I would recommend Ilili with reservations. It is quite noisy so I would request a table upstairs if you do not want to shout. When it gets busy, the service can be slow and it is pricey. That said, the wine list is decent and the cocktails are good. The food is interesting. We usually stick with the mezzo as they are a better value than the main dishes.
Fabulous! Great atmosphere, waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable. Experience was definitely 5 star worthy.
We arrived and waited in a comfortable bar area. Once our table was ready we were seated and
service bleh and I didn’t like the dessert
service is slow and receptionist is unpleasant and food is below average
Amazing food. Best eggplant and Brussels sprouts I have ever had. Wonderful selection of wine. Very friendly service. Did not feel rushed. Can’t wait to go back
Everything is spectacular — service and ambiance were restrained and dignified, which is a combination that’s a bit hard to find in such a touristy area. I had a friend and town, so we decided to try out this style of food to much enjoyment.
As always great service, food and vibe. Went twice this week - for a catch up with a friend then for dinner with 4. Food is terrific - great chicken and sausage plus solid vegetarian options. Never disappoints and always know it will be good. Its not that the food is out of this world or that it’s a scene - it’s neither. But it’s great food in a great loc with great open vibe... no drama. Can do intimate in the back or larger tables that have space in the middle. Great for a business lunch or a general catch up with friends. And works as a first date place in a pinch. Great as always.
Delicious food, but very noisy! Service was scattered.
Amazing food and great service! Several Vegan options.
Special girls trip to NYC and our final night there couldn’t have been better! Thank you to John our server and his manager who also kept checking on us. Very enjoyable evening. And the food was amazing!
It was overall good. Server definitely pressured us into over ordering which was annoying. But food was great.
Très bon service avec conseils et repas d une qualité remarquable. Allez y sans hésiter!
Birthday dinner was lovely!
Such great food!!
Jonathan was a great waiter; the food was awesome and the staff very attentive
The second time we have been here. The food was fantastic the first time around and merely good the second time around. The experience was partially ruined by the high decibel level. Come on, guys, invest in some acoustic treatments. I know it doesn't come cheap but at least your diners won't suffer through the meal.
Back to the food. The four of us had six mezze and four mains. The Hindbeh (dandelions) was excellent as was the Kibbeh. The Labneh seemed to lack some of its characteristic brightness but good all the same. I can't recall what the Black Iron Shrimp tasted like. The Mouhamara and Baba Ghannouj were simple and fresh.
As a main, we shared the Idaho Brook Trout which lacked flavor. The Warak Inab and Gnocchi were serviceable but not exceptional. The Sea Scallops was very well done. We had some good Lebanese wine.
The food wasn't as good as I remembered and I was slightly embarrassed for having suggested the place for dinner because it was difficult to have a conversation. Perhaps it was just the raucousness of a Friday night but we we were relieved when we finally settled the bill and left the restaurant.

It never disappoints! Always bring our close out of town family and friends. They loved it too! They didn't realize how amazingly cream hummus could be! Lebanese hummus is there best! Duck shawarma is always amazing!

Second floor dining area could be anywhere; if lights weren’t low masking the narrow little room ...far cry from downstairs area.
Best lebanese food in NYC
