We’re honored to share the cuisine and culture of Lebanon in the heart of New York City. Since 2007, our home in the Flatiron District has introduced the passion and generosity of the Lebanese table to hundreds of thousands of curious diners while comforting native Lebanese guests with a celebration of their homeland and values. Owner and Executive Chef Philippe Massoud expertly crafts a sophisticated blend of modern and traditional Lebanese cuisine drawing influences from the span of the ancient Silk Road trade routes.
Our warm and generous hospitality drives our mission to make every guest and team member feel genuinely welcomed and fundamentally honored.
We are here to share; to pass fresh pita bread and mezze amongst old friends and new; to celebrate life and its delicious bounty. We invite you to experience our old world hospitality, timeless generosity, and tireless dedication to uncovering and sharing the rich traditions of Lebanon.

We had a horrible experience with service. Our service was rushed. We were still eating but multiple times waiters came to clear our plates. We ordered more drinks and they not only took forever to come but we were asked to basically chug them. At a high class restaurant like yours we expect paying for service and this was not worth the value.
The food was fantastic. The filet mignon I got was just divine. The falafel and hummus pairing was also delicious. We weren't sure what we would be getting by going to a non-traditional restaurant for Thanksgiving but it turned out to be just perfect. Our server was fantastic, knowledgeable, personable, and really added to the whole experience.
Incredible food, service, and atmosphere! Will definitely be returning asap
The food at this place is remarkable! I chose it for Thanksgiving Dinner because of a spectacular dinner I had there earlier this year. The appetizers were so varied, unique and delicious that we could not finish the main course when it came so I will reheat it for dinner tonight! The service was excellent, too. I could have lived without paying $7 each for both an iced tea and a Turkish coffee but aside from that minor infraction, I'd rate this place a solid "A"!
Came here for Thanksgiving dinner with our family. The food was delicious! We would definitely come back next year. Many options were given. I chose a turkey entrée and it was so moist and perfect.
We came to Ilili for Thanksgiving menu. The food was amazing. From the wonderful appetizers (like KIBBEH NAYE BEIRUTIEH, MOUSSAKA, FALAFEL, KEBAB KEREZ) to the SLOW ROASTED HERITAGE TURKEY and FILET MIGNON. We finished our meal with the ILILI CANDY BAR dessert. We've been to Ilili several times before and were glad to see a holiday menu. Well worth the prefix price.
Great place for Thanksgiving! Perfect seamless service. Food was all delicious.
Thanksgiving with family
Second time coming here and was really nice. Tasty and plenty of food, it is expensive but worth it, Id say for special ocassions
Excellent food. The Duck Shawarma is very special. Smooth, efficient service
Chris was an amazing waiter who made excellent suggestions for our anniversary dinner. The food was delicious and the drinks were superb.
NEVER book the outdoor seating. It is not worth any type of meal to sit out there. We left.
The food is not as good as I remember it a couple of years ago.
Service was off. I had to ask to have my table bussed. Took a while for drinks. Server was nice but busy. Had a much better experience the last time (and only other) time I was there.
A restaurant of that caliber should not have an “off” night like that.
Everything was notable and memorable. Every. Single. Dish. Glass. Bowl. Every. Thing. Highly recommend
Our server was so helpful in making wonderful recommendations from the menu. We had a great time and look forward to coming back!
Had a great time
Service was amazing and the reception was very accommodating
Great meal. An assortment of small dishes. Great service
We went with friends to Ilili and it was overall a great experience and we'd go back. The one thing to note, however, when making the reservation - the main dining room (which is shown in all the pictures and has the best ambiance) only serves a fraction of the entire restaurant's tables. We had to sit upstairs in what looked like an overflow or annex area, with really bright lighting and layout reminiscent of a bodega cafe or chinatown diner, and most of the tables in Ilili are in this area and one just like it on the first floor (next to the main beautiful dining area). Aside from this, the food was great, and our server Noah was super attentive, knowledgable, and helped make the evening fun! Thanks Noah and Ilili, we hope to see you again...
I really like Lebanese food and I think Ilili is a good option in Manhattan. My feelings for the place are really mixed though, because of their management. First time I went, they told me there was a 45 minute wait. I was with my 8 months pregnant wife at the time. We waited for an hour only to receive a "we are sorry, there was a mistake"... unacceptable and rude. We came back a week later, and we enjoined the experience (food and service are good!). In my third visit this time, we had to discuss back and forth the vaccine passport thing to sit OUTSIDE (that is right, in my opinion this is absolutely ridiculous, who wants to dine in horrible barracks in the streets if not for an issue with that? It was not my case, my baby is now 20 days old and cannot stay in close environments with other people, but still, my mum is from Italy and we had to fight to make them accept the euro green pass to dine, I repeat, OUTDOORS). The experience afterwards was great and the server was amazing and kind, but still, it left me a bad aftertaste. So, 1 for management and 5 for the rest :)
From out of town, Really enjoyed the lamb shank for two. The candy bar dessert was incredible
Went here last night to celebrate my fiance's birthday. Everything from the service to the food was amazing! If you're like us and can't decide on what to order- save yourself the trouble and ask their staff for recommendations! 100% worth it. Thank you Ann Marie and the rest of the Ilili staff. :)
For food, we ordered: the Mixed Grill, Baba Ghannouj, Atayaf & Veal Bacon pancakes.
The food is excellent. The waiter was great and really knew his menu. We sat outside at night, and it was very comfortable. Pricey but worth it. I will definitely be back.
The food was fantastic and authentic. The service was even better. The server was well versed in all dishes and even the history of Arak. Will for sure be back again in the future and would recommend to anyone looking to true authentic Lebanese.
Best middle eastern cuisine meal we have ever had! The food was incredible and the restaurant was gorgeous, highly recommend!
Exceptional food, and wonderful service. There are few restaurants like ilili that use such high quality ingredients. Love the lively ambiance, my favorite spot for Lebanese food in all of the US!
Calidad precio magnífico. La comida finalmente fue en base a diferentes entradas compartidas. Lo mejor que pudimos hacer. Buen vino de Líbano. El servicio con buenos tiempos y súper agradable.
Let’s get this out of the way: the food is fantastic. Truly some of the best Levantine cuisine I’ve ever had, and I’m Lebanese. Kibbeh nayeh was the best I’ve ever tasted, and the kebab kerez and hindbeh salad outstanding. But the service fails even a the most basic level.
A thirty minute wait to be seated after our reservation was not a good start, but it happens. We sat in the lounge and waited and waited, during which nobody brought us a drink menu or updated us until I asked for help. I learned the kitchen was backed up.
Then we got our food before our wine. Then we ran out of bread and nobody topped us up. When we asked, it took more than 10 minutes, which is kind of essential when eating cuisine for which bread is a utensil. We also had to go out our way to request clean plates halfway through our mezze, which should be common sense for this style of dining.
During all of this, staff were going in and out of massive glass doors we were seated by, which instantly blew in brisk November air. Nobody seemed to think this was a problem? A woman next to us ate in a winter coat, and staff didn’t seem to care at all. From the looks of it, the staff were all low-paid workers who cared little about the food they served or the people they served it to, which is to be expected of low-wage workers. It just shouldn’t be the case at a finer dining restaurant.
What a let down. I so wanted this to be wonderful experience, if for no reason than to help out Lebanese dining on the map.
First time having dinner at Ilili and it was great ! We were a group of seven and we loved the food and the atmosphere. Will go back ❤️
It was such a wonderful experience!
Fabulous food, great location and fantastic staff. Looking forward to dining here again.
Excellent menu, superior service. But, they kept the outside dining food open, at times, which chilled the restaurant vibe. Should have better separation to avoid inside diners,
Great service! Amazing for sharing and experience authentic cuisine. Drinks were very good as well!
The manager is really rude
Do not go to this restaurant during cold months if you are not specifically told that your table will be deep inside the restaurant. We were sat directly next to a door to outside, which was opened repeatedly the entire night by both staff and customers with no control mechanisms in place. Because of this, our entire table was very cold the entire dinner. The food is great but the service is slow. There are plenty of other places in Manhattan to spend good money on a meal in a more comfortable environment.
One of my foodie-cousins told me several years ago that this was the best Lebanese food in NYC. When I relayed this to our waiter Alex he attempted to appropriately “lower my expectations”. Well after our delicious dinner I have to agree with my cousin!
Although I was initially disappointed to be eating outside in the temporary space turns out it was really pleasant. Reminiscent of being in a temporary tent for Purim.
Alex recommended we choose the tabbouleh with black cherries since it would compliment the Lebanese wine from Ksara winery. He was right. Also had delicious Kibbeh Naye. Both the tabbouleh and Kibbe had very little to no burghal—-a more luxurious version which we ate in Lebanon. (Growing up we always had burghal as a “stretcher” the way my immigrant Sitti made it.)
For our main we ordered the baked Branzino—even though it wasn’t actually on the menu. Deboned and butterflied served whole it was the hit of the evening.
We also shared the grape leaves (warak enab cocotte)- the flavor was good but the miniature grape leave rolls were a bit disappointing as I enjoy the flavor of the leaves.
Great meal. Great service and ambiance.
Wine prices too high by 15-20%, and background music interferes with conversation. But food and service were very good.
