The restaurant's decor echoes the diverse menu, combining the architectural richness of Old Lebanon with an attitude and style that is unmistakeably New York. A DJ sets the mood with music from around the globe and soft, amber lighting punctuated by candles create a sexy, sophisticated atmosphere in which to enjoy a relaxed meal. The cuisine, decor and ambiance come together to create a new world for your senses to explore, whispering gently in your ear, ilili.

What Insiders Are Saying
Fancy Lebanese food in Nomad.
Food wasn’t great- expected a lot more!
Come for sunday brunch. FOr $31 you got a cocktail, coffee, breakfast entree and a side. The shaksouka was amazing, veal bacon and lamb sausage were delicious. Waiter was attentive and friendly and let us hang for 2 hours. Can't wait to try dinner there.
We had both the whole chicken and the mixed roast. Super well balanced dishes with grilled vegetables and whipped garlic butter sauce. Beautiful wood and mirrored interior enhanced the festive atmosphere. Must try.
What you don't see in any photos are all of the side rooms and upstairs closests that they may seat you in. We were excited for this beautiful space and they tried to put us in a totally secluded upper level room which was basically a 12-15 seat closest. After being moved downstairs (to another side room) we could at least see the beautiful wood work and framing. The room we were in was extremely loud and tight. Food was good but service was definitely on the slow side. If you're making a reservation, I'd call ahead to assume you are in the main dining room.
Amazing food, beautiful ambience, and impeccable service. We will be back!
What a treat the food is interesting complying and creative made with great care. The rooms are energized each plate brings both great flavor and visual pleasure. Enjoyed every bite.
ALWAYS the BEST meal and the BEST quality of food. The most authentic Lebanese restaurant outside of Lebanon.
The noise in the restaurant is a little too high at times; however; the ambience is still pleasant and relaxed and fun and welcoming.
The staff is kind and professional.
Service is very prompt.
Although the food and service was pretty good, we felt rush. They brought entry way before we finished appetizers claiming that "some people like to combine appetizers and entries". Well , we never asked for such combination. If the team felt we need to do the combination of appetizers and entry, they should habe at least asked. After a long a stressful week the least we needed is to be rushed out of the restaurant. I will def. return but now i know to ask not to be rushed.
I dined at ilili for Valentines day. The restaurant required a credit card and in the event I canceled my reservation, they would charge me $100.00. I made the reservation 30-40 days in advance. Two days prior to the reservation, they called me to inform me that they would have a set menu and would charge $125.00 per person plus tax and gratuity. If I had known there was a set menu, I would not have made the reservation. If I canceled, I would have been charged $100.00 and would have been without a reservation for Valentines Day night. The final bill with tax and tip came to $350.00 which included only 1 alcoholic beverage. This is way to expensive for what we ate. I took clients out to a Michelin starred restaurant the week prior and the bill was cheaper and the food was much better. I would take a HARD PASS at ilili.
The food did not even achieve mediocrity. We had four appetizers yet only enjoyed one. The steak tartare was more of a pate instead of slices of beef and lacked flavor. The Kebab meatballs were drenched in a sweet sugary sauce that overpowered the flavor of the lamb and beef. It also had a weird texture. The tuna tartare was pretty good. My main dish which was the lamb was over cooked and I sent it back. The dish itself was not spectacular. The desert was so so.
The restaurant was only 70% which was weird for valentines day. Several people walked out when they found out there was a set menu.
I would have preferred dinning at Byblos or Balade. Both are much better.
Went for Valentine’s Day. The special menu is was all amazing. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. One of the best all around meals I’ve had.
We were seated 45 minutes late, but they more then made up for it with free drinks/appetizers/desserts. Highly recommend the restaurant, food has always been phenomenal
Chaotic. Awful hostesses, like to lecture . Once seated service was good. Food average. Their best seller lamb chops came burned and bland. Knefe dessert was more like Italian fried mozzarella than knefe. Not a repeat performance
It was the first time I ate at Ilili. I love lebanese food and have eaten it all over the world. I thought theirs was excellent with a twist on the traditional. We had a mezze of hummus, tabouleh, warm eggplant and felafal, all were delicious. The service was excellent and they had some good lebanese wine. We had baklava for dessert, which was ok but not as good as the main course.
Perfect as always!
Outstanding Food, Terrific service, first class design in both the bar and dining room. Issac was totally professional as our server. Could not have asked for a better dining experience.
Will, defiantly return. Food was great. This is a place where the more the merrier because you can share the food. Humus, eggplant Wow!
Great food, Cool place. Will come again. We had brunch, next time Dinner!!
We ordered the Mixed Grill and the food was cold when it got to the table so couldn’t enjoy the food. The meal wasn’t served with any bread and we requested that from the waiter and it was served nice and warm. It’s a shame our main course was cold. In terms of seating it was our first visit to Ilili so thought that the decor would be like the ones shown on the website but there is smaller room with lower ceilings where we were seated so the ambiance was different than expected. The main seating room looked very nice but unfortunately we were seated as a group of two somewhere else. Overall, I wasn’t happy with the experience but do see the appeal others may have.
Late night dining after broadway show to celebrate birthday. Food was excellent and waitstaff was very attentive. Complementary birthday dessert was much appreciated. Overall excellent dining experience.
The appetizers were disgusting and the main meal was mediocre. This is by no mean a « high end » restaurant. This is the worst restaurant I have experienced since a very long time in New York.
Food and service were impeccable. The Bronzino was the BEST I ever had and Lauren is an artist at how beautifully she filleted it and presented it to the table. The veal bacon atayif and Brussel sprouts change my life every time I eat them. ilili I will be back again for sure! Love you! Mean it!
They didn’t cater to the special occasion even though it was specified when making the booking
The service was outstanding. The food was amazing.
The food is really good. The ambiance is nice, a little packed, but they make it work. The service is top notch, just the right amount if attention (not too much, and will be there with extra fresh warm pitas when you need). But a little on the pricey side compared to what you’re getting. But the quality of the food is still amazing, and the taste is WOW
Food was amazing especially the brussel sprouts. yummy.. we sat upstairs very lovely and romantic. the drinks were incredible.
Always a favorite. Great food. ....... . . ... Must go to place
Amazing experience! Love it and highly recommended; people and General Manager are really special. Love it
Hector was a great host. In the mist of all he was doing he found the time to be very personable.
Amazing but too noisy
Well the quality of food is certainly not what it should be. More disturbing is that whatever choices the server recommended wast tasty and not even pleasant to eat. So overall very disappointed in my visit to this restaurant.
I celebrated my birthday at ilili. The food was amazing. Loved the ambiance as well!
Great food which is what we went there for! Ambiance was wonderful.. Service is great. Would recommend to all!
So noisy! Food is adequate but not good enough to put up with the horrible acoustics.
Lamb was well done not medium rare, the temperature of the restaurant was cold and upstairs had a bad draft. With so many good choices out there, I would choose somewhere else.
Very good food! Without a doubt the most refined Lebanese food I had in the city.
I made a res through opentable. We were seated 15 min later. We sat upstairs above the bar in a tiny dim room. The waiter was weird and I don't think he has eaten any of the food on the menu. He couldn't answer any questions about the food or its prep or size. We were stuffed and had 3 uneaten mezze. The shrimp skillet was flavorless and dull. it needed seasoning and citrus. The shawarma meat was tasty but the rest was inauthentic. The meatballs were overooked but the sauce was tasty. The hummus was alright but the lamb I added was delicious but small. The fries werent crispy enough but the whip was good. the burrata was yummy but seemed out of place. The ice cream was yummy. I wouldnt go back, theres a better place on 12th st and ave A.
