We are here to share; to pass fresh pita bread and mezze amongst old friends and new; to celebrate life and its delicious bounty. One of my favorite resturants in NYC.
The steak tartare kibbeh is amazin. Schwarma, tabulei, phoneican fries likewise. The space inside is very interesting and creative. Also did a great job with the seating on sidewalk in 2020.
The food is excellent! Now that the weather is getting a bit colder, it would be amazing if they put some heating for the dining outside.
Food is excellent and outdoor service was very well done
💯 very good food
The food was amazing!!
Everything was perfect! I've been meaning to try this place before I move out of NYC and it was a great experience! Everything is yummy and the waiter was super friendly and helpful. The ambience outside is super cute! My friends and I loved it and would come back again!

Great food and service. One of my favorite restaurants!
Great food as usual, friendly service but very effcient.
Overall experience very satisfying, table properly cleaned.
Another amazing experience! Cannot wait to come back.
Because we ate there during pandemic, seating was outside. Our table was basically on Fifth Avenue which was on a weird decline and very noisy - buses and trucks going by. Unfortunately, that ruined the ambiance. Might have been nicer closer to the restaurant. I was also a little chilly, so having heaters at the ready would have been nice - especially at these prices.
I highly recommend the Houmous as well as the mousaka and cheese starters. The mixed barbecue was outstanding.
Service was great. Very friendly staff. Food was tasty! Recommend, especially the Shawarma!
WOW! Outstanding food and service. By far, one of the BEST restaurants in Manhattan. Truly authentic Middle Eastern food, so fresh and delicious. Our server MERT was so kind, efficient and attentive, he made it a truly memorable evening. The manager Crandal Chestnutt was amazing as well, also very kind and welcoming. We cannot wait to go back!
Went with another couple and ate outdoors. Ordered several appetizers of which the hummus with shrimp it’s my favorite. For the main course we shared the brussels sprouts, enough for four people, and their chicken for two. There was plenty of space and the service was impeccable.
This place is very consistent, delivering each time very high quality food, probably one of the top Lebanese restaurants in the world. We keep going again and again.
Food was excellent as always and service attentive and prompt.
Great place for a group meal, as you can order a bunch of different mezze and all share, meeting all dietary needs (Kosher, vegetarian, vegan, etc.). Everything was delicious and fair portion sizes to cost. Our server (Alex) was amazingly knowledgeable (so much so, that we thought he might be making things up but Auntie Google bore out his wisdom). All in all, a great meal.
great outdoor set up. Good food. Good service. amazing
Best Lebanese food in NYC. Specially recommend the hummus, raw kibbeh and lamb shank. The shawarmas were also really good.
Reasonable prices and attentive service.
The food was amazing. Service was not great, but I understand the inconvenience and adjustments that have been needed during the pandemic.
It was great
The food was good, but what ruined the experience for me was the inattentive waitstaff. My friend was really thirsty and we asked for water as soon as we sat down and he didn't give us water until the cocktails that we ordered came. He asked us "have you ever dined with us before?" and we responded "no", and he muttered under his breath "well, of course you haven't". I'm not sure how to interpret this, but he said it in a very condescending tone. We had the brunch prix-fixe and we all ordered hummus as a side. They were missing a plate for one of our guests. The seating was outdoor, as mandated by law, so we can't really complain about pedestrians walking so close to where we were seated and the traffic noises. We really wanted to enjoy the food, but the wait staff really left a sour taste in our mouths.
Good food and nice atmosphere. View on the Empire and Flatiron!
This restaurant is so beautiful - and it is just a shame that ine has to eat outside dueling this insane pandemic. That said, we had the hummus to start which is aways a treat because its served with the most amazing puffed pita. We also had the Brussel sprouts which were seriously the beat I’ve ever had. They are flash fried, and the lightly coated in a tangy/savory sauce and topped with walnuts. We also had the chcofta - and if you have not had this you are missing out on a true Mediterranean delight.
Wine was superb, and service was excellent! Cant wait yo return when we can enjoy the ambience of this extraordinary restaurant .
Very taseteful meals, a real Middle East experience!
Mert was an outstanding waiter. The Combination of platters he put together for us was superb. His suggestions concerning wine and dessert were equally on point. The variety of sumptuous flavors just kept on giving. Why stare at a monochromatic tableau when you can contemplate a painting full of colors and dimensions.Best brussels sprouts I’ve had in my 41 years of life on the planet earth. We’ve been going here for years and Mert showed us another side of this enduringly wonderful restaurant. No easy task during these trouble times. Thank you for one of the most delightful birthdays I’ve had in recent memory.
This is the best restaurant in NY for a celebration! Excellent food, great outdoor set up and outstanding service by Mr. Mert! Overall an amazing experience
Excellent Service and Great Food. Nice place for a romantic dinner
Everything about the meal was fantastic! The food & flavors are to die for and the ambiance was perfect
We had the prefix brunch - we were so impressed with the amount of food in the quality of ingredients. All the dishes for delicious. Definitely our favorite brunch place in the city.
We had dinner on a Saturday night at Ilili. Even though it was busy and packed, our waiter was attentive and efficient. I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant’s food!It was mind blowing and the service was top notch! We got the hummus with lamb and it was soooo good, the taboula was delicious! We also got lamb sausage, duck shawrma and dolma! Everything was on point! I’m very judgmental when it comes to middle eastern food but this place met my expectations and more! I’m definitely coming to visit this place again when I’m NYC!
My daughter said yes to the dress !!!!
The service was fantastic, I did not get our servers name but she was phenomenal, especially considering she was waiting all the tables that were outside the venue. Food was tasty and delicious. Although we were eating out on the side walk there was still very much of the restaurant's ambiance present.
Love the food. Very pricey though. Excellent small dishes, very tasty and authentic.
I had a wonderful dinner with my dad earlier this week. The food was delicious and our waiter was spectacular! We felt the restaurant did an excellent job with regards to social distancing and keeping up with strict cleaning protocols. Will definitely be back!
The best dinner I've had in a while. Amazing waiter
One of the best Lebanese restaurants in the city. Everything is absolutely delicious, and the service is always fantastic. The restaurant is beautiful inside as well, which makes for good ambience. 10/10 would recommend for any occasion!
Food was cold upon arrival. After very slow service, we were told they did not have time to serve us dessert since they had another reservation for the table 12 minutes later. I have been to Ilili before and had good experiences, but they are not able to do a good job with the outdoor seating.
The food as always outstanding and great outdoor seating area now.
For an industry that is struggling due to COVID, I was appalled when I was told by the hostess yesterday (8/22/20) that I could not be seated until my entire party of 3 arrived, even though 2 of us were already present and there were several open tables. I informed the hostess that we would order TONS of food and drinks while we waited for our friend just so that we, including my dog, could be seated and have reprieve from the awful heat and humidity. The hostess showed no mercy and did not budge. Fortunately, one of the waiters noticed my dog panting from the heat and offered him a bowl of water while we patiently waited for our seat. After 30 minutes which felt much longer in the heat, the hostess finally said that we could be seated, but strongly asserted that she will need the table in an hour because the restaurant was "fully booked" (btw, there were several open tables throughout our VERY BRIEF lunch). While my friend and I were relieved to have been seated, we felt rushed and were not fully able to enjoy our meal because we were put on an unreasonably tight deadline which could have been avoided if the hostess seated us upon arrival. My friend and I had not seen each other in several months due to COVID and this lunch was meant to be a relaxing reunion. Unfortunately, it was thwarted by the hostess's strict adherence to a seating policy that was not appropriate during a global pandemic. Even though the food was quite delicious I will not patronize this establishment again because of their poor customer service.
