Portions are huge! Quality is absolutely phenomenal
We had a reservation for 5:00pm today, and received a call from the restaurant to inform us they had a large party which was scheduled to end at 5:00pm, and could we bear with them in seating us a soon as they could. I like that they called us so we didn't show up early and had to wait for a table. Though the party was still going on when we arrived, the staff did not ignore us and seated us right away. Kudos to the management.
Food was very good, wait staff attentive. Only drawback was the desserts could have been thawed prior to serving.
Would definitely recommend and will return.
great food and people, have been there many times and always great
We come here all the time, we love this restaurant!
What a great experience , me and my husband had , service was phenomenal food was delicious, my husband said best shrimp fra Dabilo he has had in Long Island so far !
Been here a bunch of times, it was always great. However this time they had a 2 piece band that was way to loud. Could not even attempt to have any business conversations. This continued even though we were the only table in the place at the end of the night. Never again on a Thursday night
Amazing experience as always. We are never disappointed by Il Vizio.
Service was slow had to keep asking busboy to get waiter and restaurant not crowded.
Our 38th Anniversary was very memorable at Il Vizio. The food, as always, was spectacular and the wait staff went out of their way to sing to us.
Good food and service
Our first visit to Il Vizio. Service was attentive and pleasant. Food was fairly good, although artichoke hearts appetizer was cold on the inside and warm on the outside. Lighting was a bit too high, which took away from ambience.
Our visit was soured somewhat when, after we had heard waiters tell diners at the 2 tables next to us that coffee and after-dinner drinks were on the house, no such offer was made to us (which we expected after hearing them talk to the other patrons). Then our experience was further diminished when the manager made his displeasure clear when I called him afterward him to make sure we got credit on Open Table for our reservation (after we had received an email from Open Table saying our reservation had been canceled). I doubt we will be back.
We enjoyed a wonderful family dinner on Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018. This was our first time to this local restaurant and it won't be the last. The food was outstanding and the waiters were great. You can have individual or family style dishes.
I rarely write reviews. Also work in the industry. Heard great things about this place. Food was outstanding and portions extremely generous.
Very picky about service. There seemed to be two servers, a bus boy, bartender and food runner for the entire restaurant. Team service works as long as you communicate. I do not want to be asked twice if I’d like a drink, nor be told the specials twice within a matter of minutes. If I am asked twice for a drink, it should be brought quickly and not have to ask a third time for it. Buffalo broccoli???? GET IT
Oil mix with warm bread and tiramisu were outstanding. I may be pickier than others. Def a great place and will be back!
Very welcomed when we walked in. Nicholas sat us and was our waiter. Told us about the specials with enthusiasm. First time there. My new favorite restaurant!!
The staff was great. I have never been there before but have brought some gift cards. One of my gift cards didn’t work - I’m sure they thought I was lying. But in a classy move they gave me a replacement card. Besides that the food was amazing. Cold seafood salad was one of the best I have ever had. I had an excellent swordfish special. Stuffed artichoke was perfect. My husband had a veal dish with vinegar peppers which was delicious and my mother in law had a special of Osso Bucco that we all tried and loved. Finished with a perfect Italian cheesecake. Definitely going back.
It was great.
We were told our reservation was canceled by us when we got there as reported by open table. We were seated anyway. Then received email hours later that the restaurant canceled our reservation.
Lovely meal. Portions are big so it’s good to share. Would definitely go back!
This restaurant makes you feel right at home. Very welcoming and friendly. The food is delicious and the prices are great for the amount of food you receive on your dish. Definitely a 11 out of 10!
We took advantage of Long Island Restaurant Week at this local restaurant and wasn't disappointed at all - an overall good dining experience!
Joseph was our waiter and was absolutely delightful. He was accommodating and so helpful- he truly made our experience enjoyable.
The food was delicious. We got the grilled calamari appetizer and it was so tender and perfectly seasoned.
Both entrees were a hit and we will definitely be back.
This is my favorite restaurant and always my 'go to' place to eat. The food is always expertly prepared. The daily specials are always a treat. Luigi, the owner, and his friendly staff always make you feel welcome.
Great food, people and a beautiful place to eat.
Great restaurant, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and food is above any I have had in the area. Definitely a place I will visit often. Highly recommend it!
Absolutely love il Vizio. The food was phenomenal, the service was outstanding. Friendly, extremely helpful and attentive staff. We went for girls night out birthday and no one was disappointed. Can’t wait to go again! You have to get the Buffalo Broccoli. Amazing!
Thank you to Luigi and his staff!
Did not like this restaurant .
Both my wife and I got sick.
Great service and delicious menu!! The shrimp Il Vizio was excellent and my friend said that the lasagna was the best she has ever eaten!!
Delicious fresh ingredients. Excellent service, friendly atmosphere. Beautiful, clean, classy restaurant. Very special!!!!
I enjoyed the restaurant , the food was outstanding. However, it must be the acoustics or something because it was annoyingly loud. They also need to improve white wine selection.
The food was exceptional and presentation was also very nice. My only concern is they are not too familiar with Celiac Disease and the gluten free lifestyle. My choices were very limited. I ordered rack of lamb, told waiter I had Celiac and it came out with a sauce that had wheat in it. Not acceptable! Other than the gluten free issue, we enjoyed our dinner.
We have been wanting to try this restaurant since it opened. We finally went on Wednesday evening to celebrate our anniversary. Everything was superb - The waiter was awesome, making everything so special for our event. The owner sent coffee and desert on the house. Dinner drinks, Peroni and Il Vizitini (Yummy) . We had the mozzarella francese which was different and extremely tasty. Il Vizio salad, a bit too much dressing but very fresh. Pasta alla Nona - had to take most of it home. Huge portion, the pasta was cooked to perfection. Lastly, the Veal Saltinboca - the veal was tender and overall very good. Would have liked a little more meat and less spinach though. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you for making our anniversary a special occasion.
The food at Il Vizio is amazing! Everything that we had was delicious. The portions were very big. The homemade lasagne was one of the best I ever had. And the short ribs over tagliatelle pasta was exceptional. Even though we were full, and bringing home leftovers, we had to try some of the desserts. The Nutella creme brûlée was my favorite. We also had the fried ice cream, and rainbow cookie gelato, also amazing. We have been recommending Il Vizio to all our family and friends!
Very friendly atmosphere and accommodating. Was too cold. Was moved quickly to different location. Water glass dirty. Calamari frozen not fresh but Tastey. Entree was presented sloppy. No need to return
Always great food and very nice staff. Have been here several times and never disappointed.
We ate here several times. Always excellent, both appetizers and entrees.
Chef even made a special dish when requested on one occasion.
Have recommended this restaurant to many friends.
The service wasn't bad. We were the only ones in the entire restaurant which made it quite. But the waiter was slow on checking up and getting drinks, etc. But when he actually came over, it was very nice. I asked for the happy hour menu to and decided to get 2 wines off the menu, and an appitizer. At the end of the night, I got the check and saw that the happy hour specials weren't applied, even though it was in line with the time and day. My waiter came over and said it's only for the bar and walked away. It changed the price of the bill by about 15-20$, which isnt a huge deal if he warned me or it said it on the menu. If I asked for the menu, and he didn't care to tell me that caveat, and it was written on the menu, that'd be one thing. But there was no mention and no attempt to work with me. The food was great but I felt nickle & dimed and for that reason, I am not going back.
We have dined at Il Vizio several times and each time the food and service was excellent!
They serve individual dishes as well as family style. Each of our visits we found something delicious on the specials menu. Highly recommend!
The Place, staff ,drinks , and food is amazing! They go over the top to make sure you have a great time!
the place, food, owners, staff, setting, and drinks is excellent!
Il Vizio is a decent place. The food ranges from old classics to some rather creative spins on favorites. The food is the standout - no complaonts from anyone in my party. Calamari Vizio with peas and beans was a unique and tasty surprise. Service however is pretty rough if not poor. I think they are well intentioned but it is either feast or famine: either you are ignored for long stretches or they are interrupting to refold your napkin. It's definitely a local neighborhood scene, smallish and on the noisy side. Come for the food, for sure, but in the end I'm just not sure it overcomes the negatives, so I can only say it's average overall.
