Fabulous Italian near Pioneer Square area, food is excellent and prepared with a little twist.
Possibly the best Italian restaurant in Portland.
The Fried Spaghetti was delicious! I highly recommend.
This restaurant was average. The food was just OK, the portions and menu were small. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t good.
Great service and amazing food. We would recommend giving it a try.
Whole staff was amazing. Food was outstanding. I’ll definitely be going back!
The pork collar which was a special for the night was hands down the best pork I have ever eaten! The ambiance at Il Solito I found to be odd and the service was good but not great.
Food was amazing good atmosphere
Was an amazing meal!
Went there for lunch. Pretty limited lunch menu. Would very much like to dry a more expanded dinner menu
Food was ok, the chicken Parmesan at $30 created high expectations but it was chicken Parmesan, nothing special. Was hoping for a twist ):
Staff was amazing and service was excellent
Dinner was fantastic and service was exceptional. Definitely will dine at Il Solito again!
They treated us so nicely with great enthusiasm in such a swift manner. The food was amazing and I enjoyed every single bite, along with the atmosphere. It was spunky and new all while classy and upscale.
I am crazy about the pasta dishes (and everything else we have tried) at Il Solito. It is a restaurant to which you must keep returning because you can't possibly try everything on a single visit, and then you keep ordering the same items repeatedly because they were so delicious. It is frustrating in the most wonderful way!
It was a bit of a miss on our part. We had to sit outside (our dogs were with us and the patio is dog friendly), but it was very windy and chilly. Was offered blankets, but then had to repeatedly follow-up for them in order to actually get them (no outside heaters!). The food was good, just not great. The service was very friendly and the birthday dessert was very good.
We enjoyed this restaurant two nights in a row. Superb staff and fabulous food.
We had a lovely late-night dinner to kick off our mini-honeymoon. Our server suggested that we choose an appetizer and two entrees from the menu that he would then serve as a multi-course family-style meal. Our food was phenomenal and we were given a glass of champagne on the house since they knew we were starting off our honeymoon. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Appreciated the insight and suggestions of our wait person
Went for a 50th birthday party. Server started off by making a negative comment about the winery from which we had brought some wines. Then he suggested we eat family style, which is fine, but the guy filling our water told us it was because they couldn't produce more than 4 pasta dishes at once so they'd all be staggered anyway if we ordered our own dishes. Then the waiter wouldn't take or put in our order for appetizers until we had everything else decided on. Said he had to put the entire order in at once, because that's how he does it. Uh, okay. So we couldn't even start off with some appetizers as we perused the menu, we had to rush through and decide on everything in order to even get started. It was an odd experience. The food was good though. Not the best I've had, but good. We left missing Pazzo's.
Portions seemed small but delicious! There were 4 of us and everyone was happy with their meals! Definitely would go back!
This was an easy dinner after a day walking around the city. A cool vibe, the food was good and our server was so kind.
Amy was amazing! We Will be back!
Great food and drinks. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. I would recommend this restaurant.
Our table of three shared a ceasar salad, spaghetti with meatballs, and the roasted trout. Very good food with generous portions. The service was excellent.
Great food, and the staff took great care of us. Was kid-friendly
Food and drinks were delish. Our server (Nathan?) was super knowledgeable and recommended great options.
Expensive. Good food. Fish was mangled by waitress who cut it, but good. But should be presented better for a $55 piece of fish.
I sat at the bar and the bartenders were amazing. They were so friendly and always asked if I needed anything else. I had the Caesar salad and Penne a la Vodka. Both were terrific. I try to come here when I’m traveling on business as it’s relaxing and the food never disappoints. Always consistent.
We discovered this restaurant during restaurant month and we see potential, however, EVERY dish is much too salty. I don’t know if people are mentioning it but it needs to be said. Please please review each menu item and consider cutting the salt to allow the true flavors to shine.
Good, solid Italian food, with some innovation. My eggplant ravioli was very good, though a little salty for my taste. My husband’s seafood risotto was rich in seafood and flavorful. Wonderful cannoli.
The food was very good we got there late in the evening service was ok however it was very very loud in there.
The main waiter was very helpful in selecting our food and describing the wine. The wait staff were all extremely polite. The food was absolutely delicious!
I celebrated my bestie's Bday, he got Bday card and we got two additional champagnes and ice cream! He was extremely happy and we rly like the place, service and environment! Thanks for the unforgettable day! Highly recommend it!
The noise level was horrible. Several very loud tables in addition to us being an open space with lots of hard surfaces. The service was great until our dinner was served and everyone had their meals while one person didn’t. Their dinner wasn’t served for over 5 minutes - no explanation given either. The food was good.
We had an excellent server, very attentive, food brought out by kitchen/preparers promptly. Food was excellent, drinks made well too!
We were in Portland for four nights. Over the course of that time we had brunch, lunch, and dinner. My wife kept wanting more. Highly recommend. Joe from Tacoma
Fantastic food, lovely service. Food amazing.
Not really a place for young people. Dining room is quite dark. We decided to eat at the bar since the dining room wasn’t really our style. The bartender made the experience fun. The food was good. Not great. It was reasonably priced for a lot of restaurants but I wouldn’t recommend to a friend.
Our lunch was terrible! The food was not fresh, the Server was slow & he lacked concern for details. Garlic Knots were stale & greasy. Minestrone bread crumbs were liquified by the time soup made it to the table so I tossed them out, only to find the veggies were not cooked thru so I didn’t eat it. Baked Ziti was dry with no sauce & not true Italian style. If the Server had bothered to come back after dropping the food, we would have complained. He couldnt be concerned as to why the Soup was uneaten when he removed it....or how the meal was. There are much better actual Italian places...I wouldn’t recommend for Fine Dining. One of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in my city.
