Tiffany is absolutely wonderful
Had the gnocchi with crumbled meatball, it was pretty decent. Husband had the pumpkin swordfish daily special, he really liked that. It has some delicious, creamy risotto, too! The bread is delicious! The server was FANTASTIC - we really liked her. The price is pretty steep, but if you can come on a good special night, it's not awful. We had 20% off our wine bottle, which helped a lot, too. I look forward to going onto the rooftop when the weather is nicer!
Service was great and food was great! We will definitely be back!
Way too much money for what you get. If im
Always is EXCELLENT! It’s our go-to for birthday celebrations every time !!
Food is great, service is wonderful (Rosie is always welcoming), and it was so nice to sit on the rooftop!
Best Italian food in the Western suburbs! Love Sogno!
BF and I had another great experience along w tasty high quality food
Sogno is our all-time favorite restaurant!! The food is phenomenal, the atmosphere fun and lively and the service is always superb!!!!!
Love the ambiance of this little Wheaton gem. I go there for the Lobster Cappellaci and it is delicious and worth the trip. It is on the pricey side once you order a bottle of wine.
the wait staff was suburb and friendly. The bar service was 100%. The meal was great along with the wine. Lovely spot.
High quality everything! This is where you eat when you want Italian.
Very noisy, bad acoustics
It was very hectic, which was good to see as we are hopefully coming out of covid. Service wasn't as goo as usual, but understandable. One disappointment is the wine cost. Always like a little wine with Italian and most bottles were $60 and above
Food was expensive and mediocre at best
The pasta is a must! Very fresh and that vodka sauce is amazing!
Jess was our server and WOW she is amazing. She walked us through the menu and she helped me choose an amazing bottle of wine.it’s a family run business and we met the family and they welcomed us with open arms. Will be tomorrow, ok really at least in the next few weeks
Wonderful - love everything about this restaurant!
The ambiance is great and the food was good. The service staff needs a little more training to accomplish the higher end experience. Example: Our server didn’t ask if we wanted to order drinks during her first introduction. Second when one person in our party ordered a drink the server didn’t think to ask if others wanted a drink and walked away. It’s minor but for the price of the food I would expect servers to have more insight.
Reserved at 8 pm for my birthday dinner and called them as we were running late. They mentioned that we can make it work, so we decided to still go vs. reserving a different dinner spot, however felt rushed to order as the kitchen was closing. :/ otherwise not too much to complain about. Food/service otherwise was fine.
Guests from California
Highlights: Bread, mussels especially the sauce, vegetarian appetizer, Vegetarian version of their risotto, lobster ravioli entree
Lowlights: oversized Rigatoni not yummy
Rip off: $12 for adding shrimp pieces to the rigatoni
Overall impression: Quality: good to great Price: Exorbitantly expensive
We waited 40 mins past our reservation time to be seated. Place was packed, especially the bar area w nobody wearing masks. If you’re trying to social distance this is not the place to safely do it. Food was great but they jacked up all the wine prices by about 25% from pre pandemic levels. We’ve been going here for years but until they open the roof deck, we won’t be back.
Always the best!
GREAT for ANY reason! Always terrific!
First time eating there and really enjoyed the excellent food and great service!
We love Il Sogno! This was our first time back in a long time due to Covid restrictions. Our server Julio was great. The fish special and homemade pasta were delicious. The reason I gave four stars was the face that there were no desserts available and no hot drinks. This was disappointing but of course we will be back.
If this was not pandemic time, I would give it more stars. I was expecting less tables and placed further apart but the dining room looked “pre-pandemic.” We we’re lucky to get an out of the way table in the bar area however so I felt comfortable. The waiter/bartender was excellent!! He was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. The food was very good- pasta with marinara and chicken Vesuvio. The salad with burrata and pear was very unique and delicious! Prices were very high- but I think that it what we’re facing now. We will definitely go back!
Great vibe; amazing food and location. Seafood pasta for two was incredible.
The arancini bites were delicious. we shared a beautiful cinnamon pear salad with fresh Buffalo mozzarella. We also shared the Lobster Diablo.
The Valentine's Day atmosphere was very festive yet romantic. Our server was attentive but also let us enjoy our drink then appetizer before putting in our entree, which made the pace very nice. The room was socially distant but you didn't feel like you were in the tail end of a pandemic.
great food, great atmosphere. My second visit to location. local hometown spot with other venues to visit in neighborhood. I didn't utilize the rooftop this visit due to weather. although I recall from prior visit it was a great experience. Has an elevator for the 2nd floor experience.
The pasta was uncooked and the claims where not cleaned. You could feel the sand in your mouth. The waitress took the pasta back and cooked the same pasta again that was weird and by the time the pasta came the fish was cold.On top of that when we asked for dessert we were told that they don’t serve dessert anymore because they don’t want costumers to stay longer in the table.WTF
Great place , will be back for sure.
Always consistent in service, food quality and quantity. Our favorite authentic Italian Restaurant for a special occasion or really any time.
We were limited to an hour for our table time so it did feel a bit rushed. The app was out quickly and then we were immediately asked about our entree. I would have liked a little more time but overall it was nice.
Best Italian food in the western suburbs.
Ir was an amazing meal!! Everything was delucioys..the pumpkin ravioli!! Oh my
Wonderful staff, delicious food, great atmosphere. The bartender makes the best cosmos!
