Everything was great. I of course would love to sit on the roof top in the summer and never can. Tonight I had guests who had never been and we got the enclosed rooftop. Wished we could have been in the regular dining room. I did make reservations 4 weeks before, wish I could have had the option.

We have eaten at Sogno several times and we enjoy the food very much. The menu selection is great and the food is delicious. However we are not impressed with the fact that making a reservation doesn’t seem to matter. If your whole party is not there they refuse to seat you even if you plan to order drinks and apps. The last couple times, even when we have all arrived on time we have had to stand around waiting at least twenty minutes because there was no table actually reserved for us. They have very strict policies for how long guests are allowed to stay in various sections of the restaurant and depending on the size of your party, and they will ask for a credit card for bookings larger than 4 so they can charge per head for no shows, but they don’t seem to properly reserve tables for their guests in the first place. We stood around for 20 minutes, along with other guests with reservations, looking at empty tables in a very busy restaurant, while we waited for occupied tables to finished their meals so we could be seated. So great food, great service, great atmosphere, terrible reservation management.

Everything was AMAZING from start to finish! The service is astounding! Since Covid customer service has diminished but not at Sogno. Our waitress was friendly, honest & attentive. Absolutely loved her! Food was outstanding. This will be a restaurant we frequent often!

Food was good but only acceptable. I must say that meatballs were very good. There was a lot of noise. But this is because place was busy and crowded. The service was outstanding. I will come back there again but I will try different meal.

Our server was "too busy" to ever show up to our table (the entire meal). It was so odd. We think it was supposed to be someone named Tiffany... However, the gentleman who came by to give us water ended up becoming our waiter, by default. He kept coming over to check on us, saying she was too busy. What's even funnier is that she was talking to the table right next to us - at one point for about 5 minutes. The food was decent, but the poor service reminded us of why service actually matters.

The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We were seated right away, actually given a choice of what table we wanted. Our waiter was attentive without being intrusive. It was a bit loud at times, but not too bad. We are definitely going back again.

Food was great, but service was not up to the normal standards. Our main entrees took longer than they should have to be delivered and our server never even came to ck on anything we might need - either before the mains were delivered or after. The saving grace was one of the other servers took control of our situation and comped our dessert.

First time at Sogno, recommendation from a client. Didn't disappoint, our entire meal was outstanding. I've had short ribs many times, this was one of the best! The staff was very friendly, welcoming and extremely attentive! I told my wife, our next celebration will definitely be at Sogno!

We've been coming here for years. Last night was a surprise, in that it seems Il Sogno has made some changes that weren't necessarily for the better. We had a nice time, but it was not the high-end experience we had grown accustomed to. Unfortunately this puts me in the position of not being able to recommend this as I had in the past.

The pasta is incredible! Just perfect food from start to finish. We were a high-maintenance table for our server and she held up VERY well to us. This place is better than SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many places downtown. A true gem!

This was our fourth time to Il Signo. As usual, the food was was very good. My wife and adult son each had pasta dishes (cavatelli and cannelloni) which were both excellent and I had the bass with risotto which was superb. We had to wait a little bit for our table even though we made reservations but the fantastic service (Carissa?) and the rest of the team more than made up for the mild inconvenience. Add to that, they comped us a dessert because of our wait. We shall return.

When dining here I, and my wife and guests, feel like we are in someone's home and/or their kitchen. The staff are like family and aren't acting, they are truly behaving as if guests are their relatives. Staff is energetic, helpful and sincere. The entrees are delightful and my wife was thrilled specifically at the pasta in a cheese wheel as she'd never had that before. We were also impressed with many staff cross - serving us as things needed to be done at our table. (Versus some houses where Mary only serves "her tables" and doesn't notice anything at tables that aren't hers.) Wine recommendations, without a menu to be overwhelmed by, were incredible. We wish we could dine here more often however we live in Evanston. Specifically, Tiffany is an angel on earth!

We ordered the misto griglia, pear & pistachio salad, cacio e pepe (made table side) , and braised short rib. All were excellent, especially the short rib and mixed grilled seafood. My husband also enjoyed the tiramisu for dessert. Great service as well and a great spot for a romantic celebration. Thank you!
