Everything was perfect from beginning to end. That was exactly what you would expect from a high end restaurant. Almost every dish was a surprise with really unexpected blends of taste and ingrédients, and the staff is just great, friendly, and very professional. Bravo to Il Ristorante !!!
Such a fantastic venue coupled with incredibly superb food. I think this is on par with the other higher Michelin restaurants in Tokyo, and is a definite must visit when here.
Luca Fantin is not only one of the best cooks in Asia, his whole team is really outstanding. It makes a dinner in Il Ristorante each time an unforgettable experience. An obligatory stop when in Tokyo.
Very high quality service and the food was phenomenal, we had a 10 course set menu to Celebrate Luca's 10 years and it was 10 signature dishes pertaining to each year. The presentation was an artwork, a master piece, and very delicate in terms of the presentation and the explosion of flavour in your mouth. The wait staff were very knowledgable about the history of each dish and also which part of Japan the food was sourced from. The decor is exquisite, from the crockery to the interior design, it was an amazing night in order to celebrate my birthday! This place is high end for special occasions or dining of a higher standard.
The only suggestion is that the staff outside the lift / reception need to mind their manners, yes, the venue has a strict dress code, but we were not impressed by the stare down from the reception staff (the european/italian girl)- we've dined in exclusive places all over the world, Shanghai, Singapore, Dubai, Hong Kong, New York, Los Angeles, London, Sydney, Melbourne and Buenos Aires and never received that sort of reception, its unwarranted and unwelcoming, that individual needs to focus on their non verbal communication skills and focus on refining her manners as its rude to stare at people particularly up and down. Otherwise everything was great.
Beautiful Michelin restaurant located in the glamourous Ginza Bulgari building. A huge black crystal serpent decorated the exterior of the building. Luca Fantin is celebrating ten years of operating his restaurant by presenting his favorite dishes through the years. Dining room is quiet and pleasant. We sat by a window facing the main busy street and found people watching very fascinating. Opted for Prix Fixe 7-course lunch menu. Started off with the Minestrone Soup which consisted of seven different root vegetables cooked separately. Each vegetable comes in their own color and all were round-cut like a ball the size of a dime. So the soup bowl contains a palette of colorful round bites. Each vegetable has its own taste and interesting flavor. Next came the Aoriika Squid and Cauliflower with squid ink. Vivid presentation of sliced white cauliflower arranged next to the splashed black squid ink. Quite a contrast, very picturesque and reminds me of an abstract painting! Next dish comes the Spaghetti with Sea Urchin which is a favorite of my husband's. He savors it. Another of my husband's absolute favorite was the Risotto with the truffle supplement..creamy and hearty. Our waiter sliced over 40 slices of truffle onto our risotto..created a wonderful aroma. We were surprised by the generous amount of truffle shaved onto our risotto. Not a fan of the Essence of Carrot course. It reminded me of dried reconstituted carrot. Here comes the Fish and Ikura course. Red fish eggs pile on top of white fish filet placed on a pool of the dark green Spanish cilantro sauce in a deep bowl..perfectly and beautifully presented in vibrant contrasting colors. Next was the Beef and Onion dish. Rectangular cut beef is served rare with beef juice..flavorful and tasty. Dessert of Latte Milk Composition with granita and gelato placed in a small glass fish bowl was refreshing. Every course was timed and executed well. Several amuse bouche included in between courses. Servers were professional.

I have been to other co-branded restaurants like Chanel and Shiseido but Luca Fantin should name the top of my list. I have already recommended my friends to book.

All staff are friendly & not snobby (as might happen in high-end restaurants).
When asked to take pictures, they would try to take good ones (not just took 1-2 shots as a job...) :)

As usual all wonderful -- there's always imagery, play, wit and elegance along with the actual goodness of taste. I didn't have it last time but when I ate with Walter, the hit dish was the first one -- in the elegant glass covered dish with ice presenting one orange little ball of exquisite dynamite!!
Brought my mum here for lunch and we were super impressed. There was a WOW factor to each dish. There is a link to japan for each and every Ingredient. Food was amazing. Can’t get over the amuse bouche, the uni pasta, my mum had the clam pasta, loved the asparagus, fish was great... and let’s not forget the desserts at the end. The mocktails were amazing as well! Staff were extremely friendly. They are able to answer every question about each dish. They were able to joke around and make our experience more memorable. I would definitely come back again the next time we are in Tokyo!
Amazing course available for lunch with great value. Huge wine selection, and amazing desserts! Worthy for asias 50 best for sure!

The food is spectacular, of course...rare ingredients, perfectly executed experimental preparations...but I can't say enough about the service. Formal, but not stuffy. Disciplined, but warm. Knowledgeable, but never condescending. Truly a special restaurant!
Fantastic food presented in a creative way. Unfortunately the great feeling was spoiled a bit by up-selling. The way that the extra drinks and courses were presented made it seem they were free and we had to ask about the price. We were also charged ¥1200 for water which also feels very cheap.

A wonderful meal in all respects. The dishes were playful, exciting, and intense. The chef's special menu threw me for a loop with every course thanks to the thoughtful presentation and deep, nuanced flavors. Highly recommended for people interested in high-class dining as well as for people who are only starting to get into the world haute cuisine, as the flavors are still firmly rooted in Italian/Western tradition (a finely crafted slab of venison with fig and truffle, classic breads offered throughout) while offering plenty of surprises in bits and pieces throughout the meal (a "sushi bar" antipasto exploring different textures, a filet of tuna that convinces in its beefiness through both texture and flavor). In my opinion, this is an underrated restaurant, even with its one Michelin star.

Wonderful experience. Symphony of different flavour, aesthetics and exquisite service. Italian cousine combined Japanese food was carefully but tastefully done. Five star experience and worth of every yen paid. Thank you for that unforgettable evening, to all of you who served me and my daughter. To be able to meet The Chef Luca Fantin himself after the dinner was very special moment to my gourmet food loving daughter. She said she’ll remember that evening and soecial moment forever. This restaurant really deserve its position among the list of best Asian restaurants and its Michelin star. Thank you!

As in its philosophy, the restaurant respected the ingredients, fusing high quality Japanese ingredients with Italian flavors. Chefs Luca and Fabrizio were also very hospitable. I had a memorable experience in this place.

I had heard a lot of great things about the restaurant- it is Michelin star rated, so I had high expectations going in. The food was mediocre for the big price. I expected the portions to be small, and they were a decent size I guess. It was a worth it one time experience for my family and me. The food looked beautiful and creative, but I felt a little out of place in the extremely fancy atmosphere. That was probably just me, as I was not as dressed up as the other customers who wore suits and dresses. The staff was very nice. They thanked us when we arrived for coming, and my favorite part was going to the bathroom. They would escort you there and on your way back to your table, they would walk in front of you to pull the chair out for you, which I thought was funny and extra. The view was amazing too! My table looked directly onto Cartier. I would recommend this place to someone who likes to experience high class living- maybe someone who enjoys splurging on food once in a while. Overall I would defiantly go if you are visiting Japan on vacation and want to experience how Ginza locals live!
