Food was extraordinary, business dinner for three. Everyone's entrees were excellent. Service was good, ambiance was a bit noisy.
Our 4th visit and once again a superb dinner. The menu is so inviting. The salads and entrees are marvelous. Do not miss this gem!
Fine dining! Very good
Located a little distance from the Theatre District, this is an excellent last minute place for Italian. We were in town for the weekend felt like Italian food. Tried to get a table near our hotel in Times Square the closest place that had a table prior to 9 o'clock was Il Punto. Great news for us as the food and service were both outstanding
We had a nice meal at Il Punto and would go back. They have 3 different rooms with tables, and we were in the third room. We liked that because it was less boisterous than the main room. The food itself was very good, although the sea bass was too salty for our taste. Otherwise, everything was to our liking. We were at the restaurant for a pre-theater meal, and the staff couldn't have been nicer or more attentive--impressive given the demands on their time.
We had dinner hear before a broadway show and walked to the theater. I liked the decor , the restaurant had lots of seating (we saw a table of 14+), great food and wine, really wonderful service. It was a nice day, so they opened the windows which was nice, except for the noisy traffic outside (not the restaurants fault), so not the quietest place but still a nice experience. I would definitely come here again.
Great food and services. We ordered prefix menu and some bottles of wine. Definitely return
A friendly, welcoming atmosphere with great food and presentation. Would visit again.
All good. Would definitely go again
This Hell's Kitchen restaurant is staffed with the most wonderful and friendly servers in the area.
We had a 3-hour lunch with our friends and were treated in such a respectful manner....loved it!
Lunch was quiet for lots of conversation and just perfect for a get together to talk and talk!
Thanks for the lovely reception, Charlene and thanks for the wonderful service, Luis and David!
A neighborhood gem of a friendly Italian restaurant!
the place was very busy but the staff did well and the food was timely and tasty.
Food was good. Has a nice selection. Can getvloud when busy.
Fantastic food great service
Decent Italian foods; a bit pricey; crowded tight space typical of many NYC restaurants. All in all, a solid option for this changing neighborhood.
Great food, great service, not too loud. Would definitely go back!
Kept opening the side door next to our table to let people in, instead of the front door. We asked why and that we were freezing with the cold coming in every few minutes. The said, a private party was in the main room and couldn’t be disrupted by the door. This was terrible, we were also paying customers and didn’t like to be disrupted by the cold, squeezing people by our table and creating our meals to be cold. The food was delicious, until this starting happening. We complained, but nothing was done and no adjustments in our bill.
This is a very good place to eat before a Broadway show. The food and service were good, it's not too noisy, and the prices are reasonable for NYC. And it's an easy walk to any of the theaters from there.
Having dined here many times, I was again very happy to have returned. Wonderful professional and polite servers. A full house Thursday night, but all went smoothly and the correct dishes were brought out at the correct time. The lobster ravioli was excellent, as was the cioppino. Good wine list that offers a sufficient price window for any budget. IMO- best venue in this section of the city. A go to.
Amazing. Even made the pasta less al dente like my wife loves.
Obviously a VERY popular restaurant. Would definite recommend booking. Even though we did, we had to wait 45 minutes to be seated as the previous diners were chatting and the maitre d’ didn’t want to ask them to leave. I could understand this as that would obviously lead to bad reviews and there is nothing worse than being rushed to finish your dinner. There were a couple of other groups that had to wait even longer than us to be seated.
When we did get to our table the service was excellent and the food did not disappoint. We had the calamari, mozzarella and stuffed mushrooms for starters. The stuffed mushrooms were the best but the calamari was also very nice. For mains we had the seafood risotto (excellent), the tortolini pasta and the ribbon past with beef and tomato sauce (lasagne). The waiting staff worked their socks off non-stop - big pat on the back all-round.
The desserts were very nice - cannoli was excellent and the tiramisu was ok.
Great atmosphere and a great place for our last evening ‘s meal in NYC.
Great spot for a meal. Food was superb and the service was very attentive. We'll be back!
To noisy to talk. The food was average. I will not return.
The food was excellent and the staff was friendly.
Delicious! Lobster ravioli, gnocchi, chicken were our main courses. Comp bread was lovely. Lemon sauce with calamari was light, yummy. Perhaps s few more leggy squids would’ve been perfection. Salads were ample, fresh. Wine selection was good. Service was terrific. Really lovely evening. We will return!
Thoroughly enjoyed Chilean Sea Bass, Il timballo and cookie pastries. Everything was delicious.
Definitely recommended. Dined here pre-theater and found the menu friendly for the vegetarians and meat-eaters in our party. Food was well prepared, very tasty and nicely seasoned. Service was attentive, efficient, without feeling rushed. The salads, wine and bread were good as well.
Great food and service! The filet mignon special was amazing! The waitstaff was very nice and attentive. The wine by the glass was a little pricey.
Great experience. Excellent authentic Italian food, great service, nice atmosphere
No fireworks but nice, regular Italian. Quiet place, easy to have a conversation.
We really enjoyed our comfortable dining experience at Il Punto. Simone was our friendly and sharp waiter and helped to make the dinner even more enjoyable by his assistance with the wine offerings, and his attentiveness to our immediate needs like fresh bread, water , wine, and anything else. The meal was scrumptious and relaxing, and the ambiance just right for romantic dining ( cozy comfortable and able to converse and listen easily). Enjoy this restaurant!
Another great meal at il Punto. Service was much slower than previous visits. We did not get to eat our dessert off a 6:15 reservation for an 8 o’clock show. Service after entree was non existent. We’ll return and know you’ll do better next time.
The food was excellent and perfectly seasoned. I had the red snapper which was lightly cooked in mild fresh seasoning which is the proper way to prepare this dish. The owner from Puglia was very welcoming, and had the true Italian finesse. I am going to bring back the ultimate critic, my Sicilian wife. Also very reasonably priced. I highly recommend!
Excellent in every way. One of our favorite restaurants in NYC!
I recently ordered a pappardelle dish with cherry grappa, and it's one of the best meals I've had in a restaurant. You're always made to feel welcome here. This is my 3rd visit.
Service was excellent the food was good nothing really special. Nice place to take a date.
Very nice staff, the restaurant was crowded near the end of our meal, but you were still able to hold a conversation. Very good food and service.
Attentive and kind staff. They knew ingredients of their food. We are lactose intolerant and they were reassuring about different options. They did not push us to drink wine which I appreciated
I appreciated eating here. The food was great, and the service and ambience were very classy. As well, it is close to the Theatre District. Highly recommended!
