Great food and great service!
This is the neighborhood Italian restaurant that every neighborhood should have. Great food, warm and welcoming. Fish, perfectly seared. Milanese pounded paper thin. Tastes of wine before choosing which one to order. Shellfish allergy was transmitted to staff who offered to alter menu items. The manager, Antonio, made us feel like old friends even though this was our first visit. We’d go back just to see Antonino again! Highly recommended.
Staff is very attentive and super friendly. We had the Gorgonzola gnocchi and sea bass special. Both were outstanding. For dessert we had the pistachio tiramisu and that topped everything else we had on this trip. So smooth and made with real pistachio. Great experience. Wish we lived closer to go more often.
Great food. Great staff
We had dinner at Il Punto a couple of nights ago and we had a great time. I'm Italian and I loved their food. The pasta was cooked right and all dishes were tasty. The manager is very friendly and hospitable.
Always a delight, great staff, great service and absolutely delicious and creative dishes.
This place is a hidden gem... the food is outstanding and the service is impeccable!
Went for Valentine’s Day. The prefix menu had a great selection. Our steak came out undercooked and the chef informed us there was a mistake and our dish was mixed with someone else’s who requested it to be cooked that way. They were apologetic and quick to fix the issue. Even gave us complementary Lemoncello at the end of our meal to show their apologies. Ambiance was great and covid precautions were in place which made us very comfortable.
The food was not good. It was a fun experience but I most likely will not be returning.
Food was amazing. Service great. Definitely would go back.
Never disappoints.Even outside on a cold night,we were pleasantly surprised
Had a well protected corner to ourselves with an overhead heater.
Food was delicious as usual but we did miss the complementary soup tasting
at the beginning of the meal .Times are different and we get it.Service always timely and gracious.
I had a wonderful outdoor dining experience at Il Punto. The setup is terrific - covered and very warm. My mista salad and halibut with mashed potatoes were superb. And the pistachio tiramisu was simply amazing. The service was excellent and the prices most reasonable. Wonderful dining option near Times Square.
The food and service were EXCELLENT!!! The food took long but its definitely worth it. I recommend this restaurant and I will be back.
Hey. It's freakin Covid in December. THANK YOU for being open. My server deserves 10 stars! I live 5000 miles away but would come back bc of him.
Eggplant Parmigiano was more like ratatouille. I enjoyed my experience more than the food. I could tell you worked hard on your outside dining and absolutely appreciate it!
Love, love, LOVE this place! The food is incredible and the staff are truly amazing. One of my go-to’s for sure!
returned to one of my favorite italian restaurants in the city......not crowded due to pandemic and certainly following all covid policies....well spaced out, sanitizers and masks......staff very friendly and professional and always get a great meal at a good value..........give it a try for a great dining experience
my boyfriend and I had date night here on a Sunday night (2020, covid times). It was empty but everything, food, drink, dessert was on point! great service and our waiter, Andrea, was awesome. We’ll definitely be coming back to eat here again and again!
The service was great. They were fast and friendly. The food was good, at a decent price.
Our lunch yesterday at Il Punto was the perfect antidote to cabin fever. Sitting outdoors on a warm summer's day, shaded by an umbrella, with a glass of wine, a perfect caprese salad, a red onion gelato salad, and an excellent plate of gnocchi with pears, capped off with an espresso and a tiramisu, raised our spirits. Our servers did a terrific job in these difficult circumstances. When indoor dining begins again, Il Punto will be well-situated with multiple rooms and we will certainly be back.
Amazing food (order the salmone!) but the best part was the service and ambience. Every server was incredibly sweet, prompt in taking our orders, and attentive. Our seating had lots of greenery and made for beautiful birthday pictures too. Thank you! Definitely coming back.
Great food. Great service.
Would go back again and again !
The food here is fresh and exceptional. And the service was impeccable. Staff is friendly and helpful. Calamari fish chicken pasta. All really delicious.
Loved it!!! Will go back.
Great place, excellent food and service, will be back.
Went for the pRe-theater price fix menu. Wait staff and others were friendly, attentive and efficient
Without question this has become my 'go-to' restaurant in the city. It's such a comfortable room and the food is always excellent.
Not as good as expected. Food was very bland for the price
A wonderful restaurant near the theater district. Excellent food, great service, and good for conversation.
Great food, great service, great ambiance! What more can you ask for!
Server wouldn’t accept our reservation and kept giving tables away to other people. They then told OpenTable we no-showed, which was a doubly-terrible way to treat us.
Set menu for valentines. Wouldn't have booked if I knew it was such limited choice. Was nearly 300 dollars for an average meal. Not good value, wouldn't return
Literally, one of the worst rip offs I ever experienced. I had a reservation for a week. The day of the reservation they call me and tell me they need my credit card and it’s only an $85 pp price fix menu or the have to cancel me. I hesitantly accept because I figure getting a reservation somewhere else last minute on Valentine’s Day would be tough.
My goodness the food was terrible. They brought a soup that was cold and had maybe 3 spoonfuls in it. The burrata was tasteless and the pasta was like it was microwaved with that hard texture upon reheating.
What a disaster and $800 up in smoke. Avoid!
Let me also state that I’ve never once posted a bad review anywhere and eat at premium priced restaurants quite often.
We celebrated Valentine’s Day and it was amazing! Great value and service.
It was amazing but a bit expensive for Valentines Day.
We recently went to Il Punto while visiting NYC. It is close to the New Yorker and MSG. The food was outstanding. It is a small restaurant so I would reccomend making a reservation. I will definitely go again when in NYC.
Outstanding Italian food in a warm, “neighborhoody” environment. Excellent, Il Punto is a real “find”
Fantastic meal and great service. Fun atmosphere. We had a great time.
Creative pasta offerings, loved calamari and salad
My wife and I recently had a wonderful dinner at iL Punto. We were staying in the Hilton Garden Inn which was a short walk from the restaurant. The food was very good and the service was excellent. The meal/drinks at the restaurant are not inexpensive, but this is New York City...
Our first time at Il Punto, we went to celebrate an anniversary. The ambiance was great and the food very very good. I had three courses ( $49 set) and loved every mouthful as did my husband. The server was attentive and friendly and all the staff were excellent.
The only fault is that the red meat dishes ( veal , beef) at $45 for main course are very expensive compared to other menu items which are reasonable . I would expect if pasta/chicken etc are $24- $28 that the red meat dishes would be about $35.
iL Punto offers takeout which you can order by calling the restaurant at (212) 244-0088.
iL Punto is rated 4.9 stars by 2167 OpenTable diners.
Yes, you can generally book this restaurant by choosing the date, time and party size on OpenTable. Due to local restrictions, this restaurant may not be accepting reservations at the moment.
