Very nice staff, the restaurant was crowded near the end of our meal, but you were still able to hold a conversation. Very good food and service.

Attentive and kind staff. They knew ingredients of their food. We are lactose intolerant and they were reassuring about different options. They did not push us to drink wine which I appreciated

Great dinner. There were 7 of us in our group. The restaurant was very busy. That being said, we were not neglected and we were not rushed. Food was delicious. I will definitely go back.

Food and wine are excellent as is the service. You are made to feel as a valued client from the moment you enter the restaurant. I ate here several years ago and I made a point to return on this trip...and I will be back next year!

Love this place! From drinks to dessert, everything was excellent. Especially enjoyed the artichoke and carpaccio appetizers, the il timballo main dish, and, of course, gelato! Great stuff!

The complimentary soup had great flavors. The stuffed artichoke with garlic appetizer was delicious. My wife had the homemade red beet ravioli stuffed with ricotta and goat cheese , and topped with a walnut pesto sause that was to die for. I had the lasagna, which I was told was the signature dish, it melted in my mouth with such great flavors. For dessert we shared the Cuore di Sicilia which is the homemade almond treats stuffed with a heart of Cucuzza squash jam. All I can say about the dessert is OMG. The food was delicious from Soup to Nuts. The wait staff was very friendly.

Food was good. When you come to an Italian restaurant, delicious hot bread should be brought to the table immediately. We waited more than 20 minutes. Waiter says "we are very busy". Not what you want to hear.

Our third visit to Il Punto and it always delivers. The food is very consistent, the chef flexible to changes, and a good value near the Theatre District. We’ll be back!!

Food was excellent. Veal was the highlight. Beef carpaccio also terrific. Service was unassuming but first rate. Handled a corked bottle of wine professionally. It’s out of the way if you are in midtown but worth the trip.

Not fast enough for a friend dining with us but I think
Good ....Traditional European Italian small restaurant vibe. Seems like a place true Italians would go
I think Americans just don’t get the linger over a meal concept😉

We had lovely dinner at Il Punto before a Broadway show. I had a salad, a pasta, and a Cioppino for an entree. My dining companion only had a salad that she liked very much. For me, the pasta was cooked properly, and the mushroom sauce had good balance and a full flavor. The Cioppino was not a particularly large portion, but the seafood was fresh and not at all overcooked. We also enjoyed a few cocktails from the bar that were executed flawlessly. Overall, we had an enjoyable dinner at Il Punto, and we would return again the next time we are looking for options in the neighborhood.

Had an excellent New Year’s Prix Fixe dinner
Choices were very good, everything was delicious, portions were big so I brought back lunch for the next day.Service
was excellent although we did feel there wasn’t enough breathing time between courses. We weren’t being rushed out but I feel the kitchen was rushing the service.
We have been there numerous times for dinner and will continue to go.Highly recommend .

I saw that Il Punto was recommended as a top romantic restaurant in NYC, so I decided to go on a last minute date there. Unfortunately, our experience there was not great. The waiter did not seem like he wanted to serve us and was not helpful with choosing the wine or the food. We did take his recommendation on the food, but it was not as great as expected, especially for the price. Unfortunately, I don't think that I'll return or recommend.

Nice place that feels authentic italian, not too large and not too noisy.
Nice and attentive staff.
Located off the busy broadway area, but not too far away.
A tiramisu to die for.

Multiple waiters who where very attentive - yet you had to ask for everything that should have been presented.
Not a big deal.
Food was good. Wife's lasagna outstanding. My Cioppini
Was good - fair amounts of seafood. Base could have been more zesty for me. Wine list was limited and on the higher prices side of the spectrum. The Meritage we had was good and they decanted upon request.
No desert. Complimentary biscotti was a nice touch. I'd return again.

Despite the hidden away location behind the Port Authority bus terminal, where one doesn't expect to find a gem of a restaurant, Il Punto delivers in spades. Most courteous, friendly and excellent service, deliciously fresh prepared food, especially the homemade pastas, but everything we ate was superb. A flexible and good wine list with an extended list of wines by the glass.
