Had the duck ragu special over pappardelle that was spectacular. Great atmosphere and attentive service with a nice bottle of wine. What could be better
We came to iL Punto for a meal to celebrate our Honeymoon on the last night of our stay in the City. The food was exceptional, and the service even more so, they really made an effort for us, which we didn't expect. A truelly wonderful evening to end our honeymoon on and we can't thank the establishment enough. We would recommend to anybody going to the city.
Friendly Service, tasty variety of food. Some interesting dishes mixed in with family friendly Italian.
We picked il Punto based on reviews and location. It lived up to its billing. Food was excellent and service was professional and friendly. Highly recommend it, especially if you like Sicilian food, as we do. We shall return.
The perfect spot for a cozy dinner!! Waiter was so friendly, passionate, authentic, and provided great recommendations. Food was fantastic and service just so accommodating. Can’t see how anyone could dislike this gem!!
The dining experience in the restaurant is one very good.
We had diner for the 2nd in the week because it’s so great diner, a fantastic service and the waiters are excellent.
We had a really nice time and when we return to NYC we will definitely be back!
I visited with my wife. Food was amazing, staff were very kind and knowledgeable. We selected recommended seafood risotto, which was the best risotto we have ever have. We will return when we visit NY again.
Excellent service and tasty consistency in food quality
Very pleasant experience! When it is recommended you try the ice cream salad, just do it, you're not being hustled... a savory and unique experience. Very pleasant, attentive service, delicious pastas and a great pistachio tiramisu! Will definitely seek to return again!
Hidden gem of an Italian restaurant. Whimsical exterior, but warm, cozy interior with clear partitions between tables. Friendly, attentive service. We had read about the ice cream salad ("gelato salad" on the menu), but were scared off by the onions and odd combination of ingredients. But Antonio said we HAD to try it. We did, and it was...wonderful! Refreshing, and the flavors popped. Each of the 3 pasta dishes we ordered were equally delicious -- fresh ingredients, perfectly prepared, and plentiful. Meal was topped off with home-made limoncello, just like in the old country. Can't wait to go back.
Loved the privacy panels, some truly authentic Sicilian dishes!
The service here is beyond exceptional! The food was outstanding! My only negative was the noise level which was very lively.
Perfect all around experience! Food and service are superb!
The best Italian meal we’ve ever eaten! We enjoyed every single dish from start to finish. The staff was friendly and attentive. Antonio, the manager, made our experience one we will not forget!
Food was good. Service was ok to start and once it got busy slowed down. Worth going to check out!
Warmly greeted, professional only reason I gave just 4 stars for food is that my insalata verde was swimming in dressing…😬. But overall a wonderful experience - will go back!
Haven’t been here since Covid and it is every bit and better than before. A bit noisy for good conversation but food is sublime and service excellent
Always a pleasure to dine here. Never disappoints.
Great food and service.
Staff went above and beyond expectations to accommodate us and ensure our comfort. The prosciutto, mozzarella and cherry tomato appetizer was delicious, as were both of our pasta entrees, one bolognese, the other with eggplant. Cannolis to write home about. Will definitely come here again!
First time going to this restaurant. Made a reservation for 4, 2 teens and 2 adults for my daughters 16th birthday. The service was incredible, everyone we dealt with was wonderful and very friendly. The food was very good. So unexpected and appreciated the singing and complimentary dessert for the birthday girl. Would recommend this amazing restaurant to anyone.
We were seated promptly; the service was outstanding. Despite being a somewhat larger group with various demands, we were taken care of carefully and quickly. There was no rush out the door … we got to enjoy great food at a leisurely pace. The duck Bolognese special was particularly outstanding! Great place!
Get the ice cream salad. One of the most creative and delicious dishes. Won't disapoint.
Never gave 1 star before, but as a Sicilian I have to admit this is far from being a Sicilian restaurant. The service is the only good thing. The real problem is that the dishes weren’t exactly what it’s described on the menu. I ordered a SFINCIONE (described as a fluffy spongy bread base topped with tomato sauce, onions, herbs, anchovies and covered with breadcrumbs and caciocavallo) but I had a flat cheese pizza instead. My partner had the caponata (good, not great), but once again… no focaccia crostoni (as mentioned on the menu). My cheese tortellini had no shallots and grape tomatoes instead of sundried tomatoes (as the menu says). Getting something different from what ordered feels like cheating.
The manager had to admit that I was right… but my “special occasion” night was already ruined.
We visited Il Punto as a pre-NYC Marathon pasta party for our family. The meal was excellent, and the team at the restaurant made it a very enjoyable evening. Managing a restaurant in a COVID environment is VERY difficult, and the team at Il Punto did everything right to ensure that our evening was top notch. Thank you!!
Great good creative and delicious
Antonio is the best!
This restaurant is excellent and accommodating beyond belief.
On my yearly NYC visits, this is the restaurant I chose for my annual reunion dinner with my high school and college friends.
The food is amazing and the ambiance wonderful.
Looking forward to next year!
The atmosphere and service were good.
Entrees were short on flavor. No starch with the fish dish. Small amount of seafood.
The food was fantastic. The ice cream salad was interesting and delicious. All of the seafood dishes were fresh. It’s typical prices. Would definitely come back.
It was wonderful, innovative food , beautiful place. Loved it
Excellent experience!! From when we arrived until we finished was fantastic!!
The ice cream salad sounds weird. But fabulous. The fish and asparagus Cooked to perfection. Squash ravioli with shrimp was delicious Antonio was the perfect host. You won’t be disappointed
Great food, service, wine
My wife and I, along with three friends, went for dinner following a Broadway show. It was well worth the 8 block walk, We felt well protected as they have set up plastic shields between spaced out tables. Food was wonderful and a nice assortment of "specials". Prices were moderate to high (specials usually are) and great appetizers and desserts. We will return and recommend that you give it a try...
Food and service were outstanding. Really enjoyed the Ice Cream Salad, and the pasta special was wonderful. My wife had the Chilean sea bass special, which was a large portion and delicious. We will be back.
Cozy restaurant near theater district with excellent food and a small outdoor, covered space for dining.
The area is a little run down but the restaurant, food, and service was excellent!
We always enjoy our visits to Il Punto. The sausage and broccoli rabe was a perfect entree alongside the shared sirloin. Always a fine venue to meet and dine!
We celebrated our anniversary here with some friends and had a great meal. We hadn’t been here before but trusted the other reviews and were not disappointed. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The service was also outstanding; staff was attentive and helpful but not overbearing. Overall a really good experience!
