We shared a bruschetta special and caprese to start both of which were delicious and fresh, followed by a Gnocchi with pear and Gorgonzola and a Penne with pesto, salmon and sun dried tomato. The mains were very generous portions and the gnocchi was particularly light. Beautiful Cannoli to finish at the end of an excellent meal. The place is very popular with a buzzy atmosphere. Highly recommended for a delicious dinner.

My wife and I are from Bucks County PA and go out of our way for great restaurants. IL Punto is one of our favorites in NYC. Close to Penn Station and the food, service and atmosphere are top notch.

Food was exceptionally good. The recommended house specialty appetizer was outstanding and we never would have ordered it originally has our host not highly recommended it. The lamb chop special of the night was also quite good. Very glad to have found this jewel in our neighborhood.

The food was fantastic! Burrata special and caprese salad for starters. The burrata was creamy perfection with blackberries and balsamic glaze over prosciutto. The mozzarella was a perfect salt/creamy mix with basil pesto in the caprese. The entrees are still making me salivate 20+ hours later. The gnocchi was light and fluffy in a fantastic Gorgonzola cream sauce. The pear added a hint of sweetness to offset the Gorgonzola. The mushroom fettuccine special was to die for! Three earthy delicious varieties of mushrooms in a light cream sauce. Antonio and the waitstaff were super friendly and attentive. We will be back the next time we visit NYC!

We first came upon il Punto during Spring Break 2023. From our first dining experience to present, we cannot speak more favorably of this restaurant. The food is simply delicious; a mix of authentic Italian cuisines with creative playful twists inspired by Antonino (Owner) himself. A few of our favorites: Insalata Gelato; Bruschetta; Arancino; Ravioli di Formaggio "Il Punto"; il Timballo; Gnocchi al gorgonzola, pere e noci; Cavatelli alla Norma; “the specials” and the list goes on. Do not skip dessert, yet another layer to tantalize your tastebuds before departing (my favorite: Pistachio Tiramisu w/ a cappuccino ). The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Antonino and his staff are attentive and sincerely care to provide an enjoyable dining experience for all guests. Though we currently live in the DCmetro, we are frequently back in NYC visiting our family and for business. il Punto is first on our mind for Italian Cuisine in Manhattan. A true local gem, consistently delicious and positively memorable each and every visit. Thank you Antonino and crew for an always wonderful dining experience!

LOVED this place. It's a super surprising gem that doesn't look like much on the outside but inside is charming and cozy. Lots of wood an enough space not to be on top of other tables. The service was warm and attentive throughout. My friend and shared the Insalata Gelato. A delightful and deliciously creative dish we'd never had before. Grilled shrimp, mixed greens, shaved parmesan, caramelized onion, blackberries, topped with a scoop of red onion gelato. I know it sound weird but they toss it into the salad at the table until it melts, producing a delicious creamy dressing. I had the ravioli in vodka sauce with lobster meat--another wow. And my friend loved the Il Timbalo, ribbon pasta with a bechamel beef tomato sauce. We wished we had room for dessert. Next time!

We have eaten at iL punto several times. Generally it is excellent. Last night we were TOTALLY disappointed It took forever to have wait staff to inquire and ask about our wine/ cocktail selection. Food was not as expected, the seafood special (red snapper) was tasteless. I expect better service and food from il Punto!

We reserved a table for 5:00 before our 7:00 tickets for Shucked. We were the first to arrive as they open at 5:00. The space quickly filled in with other guests. The service was excellent. All staff from front door to table were pleasant and helpful. We shared an arugula salad with poached pears, walnuts, Gorgonzola cheese and lemon vinaigrette. Lovely. The grilled salmon was perfectly cooked with a bit of a crusty grilled finish. Mashed potatoes and asparagus with a light orange sauce all blended perfectly. The squid ink sea food pasta was delicious. We finished with an almond pastry desert filled with squash jam and paired with vanilla gelato. With one cocktail, the bill was very reasonable for NYC. I highly recommend Il Punto.

If you're thinking about iL Punto, don't think twice, just GO! Amazing time at this quaint restaurant that transports you right to Italy from the host greeting you in Italian down to the fresh handmade pastas that taste straight out of your Nonna's kitchen. Really enjoyed the extremely attentive service and the authentic food was out of this world. Fresh pastas were to die for. Everything about the warm Ravioli di Formaggio was perfect (although it could use more lobster meat) and the Frutti di Mare had the best Squid Ink pasta I've ever tried. Incredible gem of a restaurant for a date night or a birthday celebration!

Terrific dining experience (again!). Excellent pastas (cavatelli special), my favorite caponata, lamb chops and branzino and the Cuore di Sicilia for dessert. The restaurant was bustling, which made for a lively and enjoyable ambience. The servers were great, as always, and the kitchen turned out the meals timely, even with the large crowd. We highly recommend Il Punto.

As always we were greeted warmly as we entered, our host made a point of remembering it was our anniversary. The service was professional and yet friendly.., the specials tempted us away from the delicious regular menu items on this visit. A wonderful meal and a restaurant we always recommend friends visit when they are in NYC.

My husband and I enjoyed our anniversary dinner at Il Punto. The staff was great, restaurant was clean and has a nice ambiance. Food was pretty good as well. Would definitely recommend the Gelato Salad.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING FOOD. Super accommodating for my celiac disease and need for gluten-free options. My mother said it was best risotto she ever had. My brother was raving over the lasagna. My gluten free pasta dish was delectable. Service was on point. Overall increíble experience. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

The food was very good, supported by outstanding service. Our server was extremely helpful as one of our diners had severe allergies to eggs, nuts, tree-nuts and sesame. The server and chef went out of their way to accommodate us. Highly recommend iL Punto.
