We had a quiet weekday lunch. We sat in a very comfortable booth. Our waiter adjusted the sliding door so the sun didn’t blind us. The pressed sandwiches were perfect for lunch with a side salad. Get the bombolini for dessert. Orange zest really brightens the flavor.
Fantastic food and service! Well done, team!
The food was great, service was great. But I really hate when I have to look up the menu or rely on my server to guide me toward what I want. I highly recommend putting the English versions of these plates and wines underneath the Italian version. I’m sure I’m not the only one that thinks this would really help improve their experience.
Took a long time to order. Not many vegan options and when I ordered a pasta dish with no diary, the dish was so salty I could barely eat it.
Mussels were very salty, papardelle tasted like it had garlic powder sprinkled on top and was flat and disappointing. Service was good and it’s a gorgeous space but the food just disappoints somehow
It was my husbands birthday and we were in Denver for a wedding. Such a nice restaurant with yummy food and great service! Highly recommend.
I came with a party of three. The restaurant's website said there would be a valet available but there was none, so I got to spend 15 minutes trying to find parking. We were promptly seated with a beautiful view. The interior is modern and well-designed. The restaurant uses a QR code menu but has poor reception so we had to wait to ask for paper menus. The paper menu we were given didn't have a wine list, so it was about 15 minutes before we could even order wine. Our Sangiovese was fabulous-- no complaints there.
We ordered burrata for the table. They make it in house-- the cheese itself is flawless. Curiously they served it with a burnt cracker-like thing that didn't go very well with the flavor of the cheese or taste good on its own. We ordered two pasta dishes and a risotto for the meal. I ordered the lamb sausage bucatini-- this is a $22 bowl of pasta that fit in a small bowl. Small portions aren't new to gourmet restaurants, but the flavor has to be there to compensate. It wasn't. This dish was so oversalted it could have come from Taco Bell, and I do not say that lightly. I'm not sure if that came from the pasta water or the sausage itself, but it was terrible and I cannot believe for a second the chef tasted it before sending it out. My girlfriend got the Risotto Funghi ($24). It was fabulous and a generous portion-- no complaints there. Our other guest ordered the Papardelle. I did not try the dish, but it was described as "good, not great" by someone who does not frequently dine at gourmet restaurants.
The ambiance was mediocre. The music was not too loud, but I was confused by the choice of recycled #1 rap hits throughout the evening ("Hypnotize", "California Love", etc). It just didn't fit.
The service was attentive and friendly throughout the evening. I just wish the food were better. I've eaten at this restaurant twice prior to this evening and had unforgettable meals. The quality seems to have declined sharply since.
Very romantic atmosphere, excellent food, extensive wine list: location in very cool area of up and coming RINO district. Highly recommend!!
fantastic date night! we visited for our 4th anniversary and had some of the best tuscan wine we've ever had
We took our teenage boys to this higher end restaurant and the server was wonderful at walking them through the menu. We had a delicious dinner and overall wonderful time!
Service was attentive. Atmosphere had a positive vibe. Would have liked more choices on the menu.
It was fantastic! In particular the lamb sausage with anchovy butter was to die for. My wife and I will definitely come back as the desserts were amazing.
The best part about this restaurant is the location and ambiance. The food is overpriced for mediocre Italian food. The menu options are very limited. I would recommend for a drink and an app and nothing more.
Our pasta dish was cold and undercooked. The mussels were fine. Tiramisu was very good. Overall not a good value and flavor was not that exciting. It can’t be that hard to do great Italian food. Service however was very good.
The best service ever, our server knew the menu, made recommendations and knew the bar and wine list like no other! Highly highly recommend you go and be open to trying something different
We loved the beet carpaccio, appetizers and many of the dishes. However, the pumpkin soup and orecchiette were very over seasoned. Also the orecchiette looked unappetizing because the sauce was so heavy. The mushroom risotto was delicious. The chicken cutlet was one of the best I have eaten, but the rest of the dish was oddly put together. The spicy frisee and watermelon radish covered the chicken and overwhelmed it. The celeriac was not cooked and was the same color as the polenta. I think the chicken would be better served with a more traditional sautéed garlic and greens with the polenta. The gnocchi were good, but perhaps a bit of contrasting color would have been nice.
Limited menu selection, food was good but value wasn’t there. They have an extensive wine list—much more wine than food. Nice area for the restaurant, in RiNo area.
Had a fantastic lunch for a birthday! Joey was great and made sure we thoroughly enjoyed our time. The food and cocktails were superb.
Very nice lunch today . Super knowledgeable and professional staff.
Incredible Italian wine list… the burratta and prosciutto appetizer was the perfect start …I selected the pappardelle with pork ragu…fantastic … highly recommend
Service was great …highly recommend
All good and drinks except main course came out fast. One of the pastas with crab meat was just terrible. Two bites and done. Burrata fantastic. Wife for the ginger tequila drink x 2 and it was really great.
The calamari and beat carpaccio was amazing but our pasta dish was lackluster. The crab was too finely shredded and it was incredibly under seasoned. Our attentive waitress asked how we liked everything and we told her about the pasta… she let us know it was the first night for the item on the menu and appreciated the feedback and ended up comping the dish, despite us saying we were totally fine to pay for it. Great ambiance and would come back.
Delicious food and one of the most extensive selections of Skin Contact/Orange wine that I’ve found in Denver.
Went for a business lunch. Buccatini was amazing. Everyone enjoyed their meals and our server was attentive and professional.
Overall, it doesn't have the whole experience 'tied together' in a way that a great dining experience should. They have pieces and parts that are good (the appetizer was good and the cocktails and wine specials are good), but the service, entrees were bland, unexciting, and it felt like we were still in the middle of the staff who were there prepping (one guy sat at the bar across from us tapping away on his laptop).
Great date spot
great service even with it being very late when we were there.
Food was just ok, nothing special. Service was slow.
I think our server was drunk. Took 45 minutes just to get our check, which the amazing sommelier got for us. She was amazing
aww asked for a four top outside and was told no, wed have to have a two top. My friend is 6ft4 and we were shoved in the far corner on the patio by the door the staff used so it was quite distracting. No one came to the table for over 20 min and literally everyone had to walk past us.
The food was good and overall service was fine (not outstanding) but the fact that not ONE group of four was seated outside while we dined was very annoying since our experience could have been much btr Ina more comfortable area
Couldn’t even taste snow crab in the snow crab dish. Salmon dish was dry.
Il Posto really failed today with an unimaginative and poorly executed brunch. The shakshuka was burnt and egg yolks solid. Incredibly disappointed.
Great food and cocktails. Service was excellent. So glad that brunch is back!
I wanted a nice date night somewhere with good food, and this provided that! Everything was delicious.
Fresh, delicious Italian. The flavors are vibrant and fresh pasta is excellent. It's been a long time since we've dined at Il Posto and glad we returned.
From the hostess to our server, the service was so personal. We sat in a booth inside, which was fantastic. What a special night.
Great birthday spot. Would do again. My partner had a great time
Food was bland, over priced, under cooked
Service was unfriendly, slow and disinterested
I will never return or recommend
Do try Il Posto! The ambiance is great - both inside and outside on the patio. The owner is gracious, most often on site overseeing everything and is very interested in creating a great dining experience for each customer. The owner is from Italy, so, he certainly knows Italian foods and wines as well. I have been a customer for many years - beginning at his first restaurant on 17th Ave. East of the capital building. I have always had an excellent meal - starting with the amazing bread (ever so fresh), the salads and entrees. And then, there are the bombolinis - primo, severed hot and fresh as a dessert. Last evening, I had the beet salad folllowed by the salmon. Both were excellent! I recommend Il Posto!
Nothing special. No effort. Expected more at all levels .
