The food is always excellent with a warm, friendly atmosphere.
Our dinner was very bland across the board.
Really delicious food, went on Valentines Day for dinner and it was a nice romantic scene. Their best food are the pastas.
Krystle, thanks for the review! Our chef Patzy's specialty is definitely pasta. He spends a lot of time making sure that the texture and flavor are the best possible. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the space and the Valentine's Day menu. We hope to see you again soon! Cheers, Julie Masciangelo General Manager
Very nice atmosphere, the servers were very kind and easy to talk with. Portions were a little smaller than expected for the price, but overall I had a great time.
Melanie, thanks for joining for Valentine's! We are glad to hear you had a great time and enjoyed the staff. We are really lucky to have the team that we have here and always want their individual personalities to shine through with guests. We hope to see you sometime soon! Cheers, Julie Masciangelo General Manager
Valentines 7pm Reservation. Seated at 7:50pm. 3 hour ordeal. Food was good. Each course was very very slow (wine pairing was consumed before courses arrived). Portions were way to small on course 1 and 2 for how starving we were 2 hours in.. Overall pretty disappointing for a $300 meal that took 3 hours.
Incredible food and service! This was the perfect choice for Valentine’s dinner. We will be coming back soon!
Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We are stoked to hear that you enjoyed the V-Day menu. We were very excited with what out culinary team put together for the special day. We look forward to the next time, hopefully sooner rather than later! Cheers, Julie Masciangelo General Manager/Beverage Director
We love dining at Il Posto. It’s our favorite spot in Denver.
Great place to have a quite dinner for two or with one more couple. Staff was great.
Derrick, thanks for taking the time to write a review! We love that you enjoyed your experience and our staff. We are super lucky to have such a hardworking team here that we consider family. They have carried us through this pandemic, providing stability and a familiar face for our guests. Cheers, Julie Masciangelo General Manager/Beverage Director
Great spot for homemade Italian. Limited menu, but to be expected during these times.
Elisa, we are glad you enjoyed the food! Now that we are back to 50% capacity, we are ramping the menu back up for spring and will certainly be expanding our offerings. We look forward to sharing it with you! Best, Julie Masciangelo, General Manager/Beverage Director
Our dinner was good, however with numerous open tables we were sat directly next to the service area which had a curtain that kept being opened, we could hear conversations behind the curtain. It detracted from an otherwise wonderful meal.
Great for drinks and apps but the main courses were just OK. Probably wouldn't go back for dinner.
Clara, we will happily host you for drinks/apps/happy hour any time. Please feel free to reach out by email about specific dishes that you feel could be improved! We are always open to feedback. Hopefully we can hit the mark on dinner for you sometime soon. Best, Julie Masciangelo, General Manager/Beverage Director
Our server was very attentive, constantly following up and asking about the quality of the meal. The lighting was adequate as it provided the right atmosphere. The venue is modern and the view on the second floor at night is amazing. Wine selections were more that adequate and it the knowledge of the wines and tastes really helped us make a choice with our dinner.
Erik, thanks for taking the time to write a review! We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed everything from food to service to ambience and wine. We look forward to the next time! Cheers, Julie Masciangelo, General Manager/Beverage Director
Great—open double decker, lots of glass, excellent staff and food
Marie, we are so glad to hear you enjoyed everything! We are very lucky to have this corner spot with abundant windows, as it provides a great view of Denver from upstairs. We hope to host you again soon. Cheers, Julie Masciangelo, General Manager/Beverage Director
Good food, even better drink selection. Amazing cocktails and an extensive Italian wine list made our evening.
Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We are so happy to hear how much you enjoyed the drinks, as our bartenders put a lot of love into crafting unique cocktails! We also pride ourselves on having a diverse wine list that honors native Italian grapes and family owned producers. Glad you enjoyed it all! Cheers, Julie Masciangelo, General Manager/Beverage Director
Fantastic food and service. Reasonably priced for the value. Will definitely visit again.
Went here on a Sunday night and it was pretty quiet. Our server was attentive and friendly. We got several meats on the charcuterie which were all excellent- very high quality. The guanciale was best. We also tasted the arancini although they’re called something else here and those were creamy and delicious. Burrata was excellent as well. Pasta was by far the best part of the menu. We would’ve been happy with just those and passing on the entree actually. The bucatini, bolognese and gnocchi were perfectly delicious and fresh. The entrees weren’t bad just not as great as the pastas. Would definitely good back!
Meal was delicious and our server was fantastic!
Very good food. Portion size for cost was way off compared to most restaurants.
Restaurant was not busy, but took longer than normal for service, although when service was around was great. Music was so loud, could not hear the party at the table talking. We had to ask to turn the music down twice. Food was decent. It was nice to get to a restaurant, outside, during COVID. Staff was friendly.
Very nice atmosphere even sitting outside in below freezing temps. Food cooled off quickly, of course. But didn’t dampen its excellence. Our main no -positive observation was related to bread. The Burrata appetizer was sooooo delicious, but what was billed as lavash was too thin to complement the cheese. And there wasn’t enough “lavash” either. We also ordered the roasted vegetable appetizer, which would have been perfectly complemented by some garlic bread fingers. We ordered bread to address these issues. The bread was divine, but a rather small portion for our party of three.
The service was great, ambiance is really nice as well. The burrata starter was very tasty, however the pasta and chicken entrees we ordered were just average.
Loved it! So nice the cheese selection is great
Waited quite a long time for our reservation table, but the wait staff was very friendly and catered well to dairy and wheat dietary restrictions. Food was delicious, interior was beautiful, prices were reasonable.
Over priced, bland and tasteless food. Beware if you have life threatening food allergy. They will tell you that they have checked all the ingredients associated with your food allergy only then to serve you food that has not been checked and cleared for said allergen. It’s a little late to tell someone you didn’t actually check that the food was safe once they are already eating it. My 15 year old daughter with life threatening food allergies will never chance eating there again.
Wow!!! Fabulous service and good! Very happily surprised by our experience. Definitely will recommend to family and friends. Cannot wait to try this restaurant post COVID.
The food was outstanding, the service was great. We were visiting during the pandemic and ate outside in December. It was cold but the staff did their best to keep a fire going for us. Overall it was a fun night.
By far one of the best places I have eaten in a long time! The food was divine and the service was on point. Coming from a state where we are surrounded by many fabulous food options, I wish they had a restaurant back home! This will be a place I will come to again and again when I visit Denver.
Kelsee, our server, went above and beyond to help us celebrate a milestone birthday. Additionally, the cocktails and menu were amazing.
Had a nice unique COVID dinner experience. Outdoor dining on a chilly evenings. The heaters worked great. Food and service were great. Support you local businesses.
The food was really sub par. Bland rice balls - couldnt taste any parm or salt. The gnocchi was amazing but that was really it. Focaccette was underwhelming. The bucatini was good but nix the kale! Loved the waitstaff they absolutely rocked but the food was really disappointing. Fabulous ambience despite the coldness (but that's just weather / COVID problems).
its one of our all time denver faves and we love that they can do Covid friendly outdoor seating comfortably and beautifully even in December!
The staff was incredibly rude. Our waitress took 45 mins to get our drinks & was beyond condescending and scolded us multiple times. We had told the manager about her behavior and he was not apologetic at all, he insinuated it must have been our fault she treated us so poorly. We will definitely never be returning
Incredible food as always! Bucatini is where it’s at right now. Service was awesome, and the heaters make it pleasant on the patio even when it’s cold out.
Original and inventive Italian cuisine using fresh, quality ingredients. This place is consistently great. They have a friendly, knowledgeable staff. We have been customers since the first day the original location opened. Il Posto has fought hard to keep their customers happy and fed during this pandemic. They have recreated a new menu, designed specifically for take out as well created a mini wine store, with discounted prices on great Italian wines and an original IlPosto canned cocktail.
Loved this spot!! Food & drinks were delicious. Service was great as well, definitely recommend sitting on the patio when it’s nice out!
Small portion, mediocre service.
Denver rest menu was weak at best. No need to go back there if that’s the best the can do w the menu
I’m the end of the day, it only matters if it blew our minds or not , and it didn’t . Had cocktails , 2 appetizers and two mains , was just not it. Nice looking place . Great location , ok service (we were seated in the entrance to the restaurant and was told we’d get moved but didn’t hear about it from then.) but nothing much exciting. Door mediocre minus.
All the food was amazing. The burrata was my favorite and I got the "magic carpet ride" cocktail and I really enjoyed that too. I would definitely go again.
The food was fantastic however from the moment we arrived at the restaurant the hostess and server were not warm and friendly. I would even go as far as to say they were cold and by making a request we felt as though we were being a burden. For a $100+ brunch for two people, I would expect better.
