Great tasting food

Delicous food and excellent service. All accompained by great ambience.

This was our first time at this establishment and rest assured it will not be our last. From the time we enter the front door till we were ready to leave, we felt welcomed and were catered too. Our server Sergio was excellent. He explained many of the dishes offered, offered a tour of the restaurant, and constantly monitored us to make sure everything was just right. We had the privilege of meeting the chef, a few other waiters, and the owner. All were very gracious. The food was delicious. We will be back.

Hands down the best Italian restaurant in Monmouth County, yes better than Anjelica’s. Great service and experience.

Dinner was absolutely incredible. Fantastic restaurant, great service, great atmosphere.

This is the finest meal I have eaten in my 40+ years of living in Marlboro. The menu is varied with something for everyone. The food preparation is excellent. The plating is very nice, the flavors are outstanding. A big plus is the BYOB policy which helps to make up for the prices. The prices are not cheap, but the food was definitely worth the price. Looking forward to our next visit.

Maybe they were just off, but this place is horrible

The waitress was generally inattentive, forgot to bring us a drink we ordered, never checked on how our food was until we flagged her down. Just not good, especially for a place like this.

We ordered eggplant meatballs for app. Maybe the wrong choice, but it was very bland. Added table salt. Also lamb sausage app. It was better, but the beans were hard and it was also very bland. Only flavor was cheese. I’d give appetizers a C.

We ordered specials. Pasta with langostine. Bland, added salt. Pasta under done considerably. But my wife was starving and kept it. Also ordered rack of lamb, medium. Cut into it, totally well done, ruined. Flagged waitress down, she came over after 10 mins, saw it was gross and took it back.

For what it’s worth they offered us a free redo of lamb and dessert on the house- which we declined. So tired of horrible experiences in this area.

As always our meal was terrific. Our waiter, Sergio, helped me order food that was appropriate for my allergies. It’s amazing that you can have a relaxing conversation with the people at your table in such a busy restaurant. The acoustics are great.

To nyc for Same ambiance cuisine and quality of service. Will be back ! Can’t wait to try other items on the ever changing menu. The complimentary Italian cookies were a nice treat!

I was expecting some different items on the fall menu. There was something lacking.
Overall the Lentil Soup and Halibut were my healthy choices.
The prices are pretty high.
I was very surprised I had to ask if there were evening specials. Thought that should have been an automatic conversation. I noticed the table next to us also had to ask if there were any specials.
We did enjoy our anniversary celebration and we pick IlNido for special occasions.

Manhattan comes to Marlboro NJ....beautiful deco, great service, delicious Italian food......bring your own special wine and have a wonderful dinner.

For all the significant buzz surrounding this restaurant the experience was underwhelming to say the least. The food was pedestrian and over-priced and certainly not what I would expect from a place that already has quite the reputation.

From the moment you walk in you feel welcome. Tables and chairs very spacious and comfortable. Our server Cynthia was awesome and very helpful explaining the menu. Service on point. Dishes were so creative and not your standard dishes. Butternut squash salad was amazing as was the Waygu short rib. Highly recommend.

Just amazing! From the beautiful atmosphere to the divine food and exceptional service, we couldn’t have asked for more. The owners were also so gracious and kind and you can truly see and feel how much their restaurant means to them. Our server Erica was also the best! We cannot wait for our next date night so we can go back 😊

Portions were extremely small. Beautiful restaurant, but food was not good at all. My pork chop had no meat all fat & was the size of a baby lamb chop. The scallop appetizer was very good but so small. I was starving when I left. Won’t be back. Plus super $$$$

Always a wonderful meal at IlNido!

Everything was really good. The only comment is that the menus selection for the main course should be expanded, it was too limited.

Fantastic! The food was perfection. Already made 2 future reservations to take friends. Really wonderful place to find right here in Marlboro, NJ.

The venue itself was beautiful. The entire dinner for 4 of us was exceptional & the service was outstanding. We all agreed that we would definitely return.

My husband and I came here on a date night. It was our first time here since the restaurant became Il Nido. What a HUGE difference! Everything was excellent from the ambiance, to the service, and best of all the food! The interior looks nothing like it used to and is now one of the more visually upscale restaurants in the area. The food was absolutely delicious. We loved the eggplant meatballs as an appetizer, cannot wait to return to have them again. I had the scallop risotto which was the best risotto I have ever tasted. My husband had the boar which he enjoyed. We shared the hazelnut torte for dessert, also delicious. While the prices are on the higher side for the area, it is BYOB which helps with the overall price of the meal. We will definitely return!

First visit. Food and service was excellent. BYOB. Never felt rushed. Hidden gem. Pricey but will go again.

Had a fantastic experience at Il Nido! From Angelica and Gab our hostesses to Erika our waitress, the service and food were wonderful.

Loved the ambiance of the restaurant. The octopus appetizer was excellent, halibut was delicious ,rib eye steaks were average. Some entrees were over priced. Loved that it’s a BYOB!

First review ever. My wife and I have dinned out at least twice a week for the last 30 years. (We’re old).
This experience ranks top 5 in all aspects, especially food. We did the tasting menu, and happy we did so.
Can’t wait to go back and try the pastas. Server David was terrific.

Excellent from start to finish. Superb food, service and ambience. Tables for two are usually the worst inthe house yet here they are all large tables with plenty of room between tables. The food is elevated, fresh, organic and delicious. We witnessed the owner doing a surprise tasting tast on a busy Saturday night which really shows he cares. Highly recommended!

This was my second visit to Il Nido, and as always service is superb and the food was also delicious. My only "very small" :) complain is about a fish in a seafood stew. It was a little bit tough to eat.
But overall excellent and I will be coming back.

This is our new Saturday night date night spot. Delicious food, amazing hosts - Sandy and Joe are just great. David is our favorite server and makes the night even more enjoyable. NYC ambiance and cusinine in Monmouth County - who knew? A gem indeed and hope Il Nido continues to turn those tables over for lifetimes to come. Menu is never boring and will tempt all culinary palates no matter the season. We love Il Nido.. Bravo!

We really enjoyed our dinner at Il Nido. I had the filet which was great. Others in my party had the scallops or the haddock. They were also pleased. The soup was outstanding. The service was very good as well. The price seemed a little high given what seemed like rather small portions. For special occasions, Il Nido is a great choice. For regular dining a little less so because of the prices. But if you don't mind paying high prices for good food I highly recommend Il Nido.

Amazing! We will be back! Love that it is all organic, grass-fed, wild fish, and flour imported from Italy! This does raise the price some, but well worth it! A must!

The boar pork chop were tough. Would not recommend them. The pasta was a bit too aldente. We have had it before and it was better prepared. The appetizers and soup were very good.
