Outstanding service and ambiance. Everything was delicious – would definitely recommend!
Everything was fabulous! Love the small quaint space. Fabulous food!
Pretty expensive for sub-par food.
I don't usually write reviews but my chicken Paillard and mashed potatoes were SO DELICIOUS!! I just had to comment. I think I may have licked my plate clean. The service and wine were as always fantastic as well. Thanks for a lovely date.
I was surprised to discover that the food in this place is just terrible. Ordered eggplant and zuccini for appetizers, eggplant was bitter and both dished were completely bland and unsalted, like diet food, so I asked the waiter to ask the chef to put some more salt while cooking the main course. Since if you do not boil it in slightly salty water later it is very hard to make the dish taste good by just addind salt on top. Main course- two pasta dishes with black truffle arrived, zero salt and zero taste, completely bland and sad looking. We were literary wondering- how is this place in business???? Did not give us truffle to smell as well. We decided not to have the dessert. Avoid this place if you are looking for delicious food.
The place was cold and i had subway vibrating under my chair. Chairs are made of plain wood, no fabric, very uncomfortable.
Service and ambiance were ok, nothing special though. One of the waiters had a very strong tobacco smell so i felt uncomfortable.
The place looks very cute from outside, very deceiving.
Great Italian with fantastic service we always dine here when we are in town.
The original IL Mulinos is my favorite restaurant. The best in the world. Coming here; expectations were high and our group was excited. This is not the original; it’s at best a sloppy 4th cousin once removed capitalizing on the name and the brand/family. This experience was so far below my expectations on every level. Service was ok not great; not even close to the original. The service was average, the Caesar salad was milky, bland, and gross. The steaks were good but for $65 they should be. The short rib ravioli was luke warm, lacked flavor and was a sloppy presentation. The lobster Mac and cheese was cold, fishy and lacked cheese. The desserts were nice and they have a decent wine list. For the way over $500 we spent for seven people it was hugely disappointing. They need a do over or change the name so you don’t taint a historically great restaurant with this mediocrity.
A little bit pricey but quality was good
Amazing service, food and ambiance
Dinner with my kids
Asked for a glass of red wine/Amarone, they never brought out the bottle only put down a glass of red wine in front of me. Never asked how we want the steak, got it over cooked. Not happy with the service.
Everything about our experience was exceptional! Intimate atmosphere. Attentive knowledgeable service. Food prepared beyond compare. Definitely worth experiencing for yourself.
Extremely warm and customer focused staff.
It was wonderful!
I ordered the 10 oz center cut Filet
Mignon. I ask for it to be cooked mid well. The server suggested butterflying the filet. I said great. The steak came out charcoaled. I left a portion because it was too over cooked to eat. I get it, the chef did not want to cook the steak the way I ordered it, but way burn a great piece of meat to the point it was unbeatable?
i am a BIG Ill Mulino Fan, but this one was didnt impress me, service as ok, at best , till we waited 20 plus minutes to be asked if we wanted coffee, seems like alot of locals cone in and those seemed to be the only people that got attention, i will stay an Ill Mulino customer but NOT this one.
Amazing food. Ambiance could be improved- also externally
Overpriced food. Much better options in the area for a sceney weekend dinner
Experience was not worth the cost. The food was OK and. It what we expected for an Il Mulino.
Nice quiet dark place for a romantic dinner in SOHO. Would recommend it for 2 or 4 people. Not for large groups. Drinks were ok. Food was tasty but pricey . Overall we enjoyed our dinner.
Not that great. Poor value. Go elsewhere.
Very small place. Food was average at best. Way over priced but it is soho. Service was great. Probably wont be coming back
Ribeye = divine. It was so loud I had to scream to be heard.
Not worth the value. Meat is mediocre. Pasta not authentic. Good service but unfortunately would not return.
The food was average and the lighting was so dim I could barely read the menu or see the food.
I HAVE BEEN TO SEVERAL II MOLINO'S AND I HAVE FOUND ALL OF THEM TO BE VERY GOOD TO EXCELLENT. THIS PARTICULAR RESTAURANT WAS FAIR AT BEST. FAR BELOW THE STANDARDS OF GHE OTHER RESTAURANTS IN THAT GROUP.
Overall this was an ok experience. The service is great and was the best thing about our evening. The steak are ok but nothing to write home about. Overpriced for what we got, well over $400 including tip for 2 appetizers, 2 mains (although we both did have a steak) and 3 drinks each). The ambiance inside is ok but the very busy corner location does suffer from the heavy traffic turning on to Grand Street and, at the moment, there are road works. Will stick with the original Il Mulino in future or head to a midtown steakhouse.
Service very friendly. Food (pasta for my wife, Doversole for me) good but disapointing. Room elegant but still cosi. We appreciated the white table cloth.
The manager was a big snob, the food was expensive and flavorless. The only good thing about this place was the decor and the very nice busboy.
Service was amazing, food was amazing! My wife and I enjoyed our 10 year wedding anniversary dinner. Staff made us feel like rock stars. Great night out definitely would recommend to anyone!!!
Really a nice place have been to multiple locations but $20.00 for a mixed drink that’s a lot even for SOHO
Food was absolutely delicious. Service was very good. Prices are high but it is Manhattan.
Great food except desserts
Appetizers, pastas and meats were exellent
Great time! Elvis the bartender made us feel at home. Food was great. We will be back.
Niko and the guys took real good care of my old lady and I. Food was top notch as always at that joint
This restaurant was pretty smaller than i thought. The food was just OK. Nothing special about it. Typical Italian restaurant. It didn't fit in with west broadway neighborhood but it was pretty quiet compared to other restaurants. I've worked in soho over 3 years but there's other good restaurants to visit.
Came for the first time during Restaurant Week - thought the food and service was excellent. Our party of 4 opted for the additional $40 wine pairing - white wine with first course, red wine with second course and we requested Prosecco in lieu of the Moscato for the dessert course which they gladly accommodated. While the wines were delicious, the glasses were barely half full with the exception of the Prosecco - all of us weren’t sure we would opt for the pairing again.
The food was on point and the service excellent. They even gave each table a board with cheeses, meats, focaccia and a side dish of delicious sautéd zucchini - all on the house. The restaurant occupied a tiny space on the corner of West Broadway and Grand. The dear heads and antlers on the walls were a bit odd but the overall space pleasant. Just couldn’t give it 5 stars because of the noise level - extremely loud. Our tiny table of 4 barely could hear each other.
I would definitely return.
My friend and I went for Restaurant Week and had the wine pairings. The service was excellent, but the restaurant week menu was disappointing (as most of them are) and the wines did not pair well with each dish. Perhaps the overall experience will be nicer and the quality of food higher when visiting for their standard menu, but the crowd at the restaurant was not our style. If you're looking for a lively, noisy place full of SoHo socialites and groupies trying to network, schmooze, and most importantly snap selfies, this is the place for you.
Thank you Patriot and staff for making my friends celebration of her honeymoon extra special!! They said the food and service was wonderful!!
