This was the best Italian meal I have ever had ! Energy was great, the waiter was professional and very entertaining, and the food was amazing.
Tasty seafood and plenty. Good environment and service.
FOOD WAS GOOD BUT DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE PRICE.
The quality of the food was not worth the effort it took to walk to the restaurant which was no effort at all.
We are long time neighborhood residents and we picked Il Mulino for a spontaneous date night.
My wife had to send her plate back twice before she declined any other offering.
We enjoy al dente pasta but the kitchen couldn’t get her plate correctly prepared.
She is not at all picky.
My veal Marsala was incredibly sweet.
When making savory dishes like veal Marsala, dry Marsala is the classic choice.
Why the chef chose to use sweet Marsala is beyond me.
Speaking of the “chef” I noticed he spent most of his time at the bar sitting with a “friend”.
Our table was three feet from where he sat.
At Il Mulino’s prices you would expect delicious and properly prepared food.
That said the service was excellent.
From the hostess to the waiter to the bus boy they all were extremely professional.
Will I go back….. never.
Will I recommend Il Mulino to neighborhood friends and colleagues (I work in the area) never.
I remember Il Mulino from back in the day when they weren’t a franchise and prided themselves on their product.
At Il Mulino’s price point you can do much better in choosing an Italian restaurant in Tribeca.
Beginning of year business lunch. My expectation was excellent food, service and ambiance. The food was average at best, nothing special. The service was indifferent at best, even though we were the only diners in the restaurant. The ambiance was disappointing, in part because of the very cold temperature in the restaurant and that we were the only occupied table.
Went for someone’s birthday & everyone enjoyed the food was excellent, Ricardo & the crew were great will b back thx guys the birthday girl loved everything
Food was outstanding but service left a lot to be desired. Not the service I have experienced at other Il Mulino locations. Rude/snobbish and scoffed at my friend who arrived first as they were annoyed they needed to set a table for us even though I had confirmed the reservation.
Wonderful service, great food, family friendly
Best place for a birthday dinner (or any dinner)! The food was fantastic, the staff was very accommodating and the dirty martinis with blue cheese olives were delicious!
Excellent food and terrific service!
We were there for NYE.
Dinner was great - however, a few weeks prior to our reservation, the restaurant called and set a very different expectation for the NYE experience.
In the end, we felt the restaurant over promised and under delivered on the evening.
Il Mulino is one of my favorite restaurants. I had only eaten at the downtown location prior to my most recent visit to NYC. This time we tried the Tribeca location and it did not disappoint. The food was marvelous and the service was impeccable. The atmosphere was fun as it was during the holidays and everyone in the restaurant was enjoying themselves. I always recommend Il Mulino to my friends.
If one is there for lunch you should get the lunch menu. I’m there with customers and they ordered off the much more expensive dinner menu not knowing there was a lunch menu. Felt like a bait and switch. Bad form especially with no other person in the place. I heard it was a ripoff and it didn’t disappoint
Food was great! Pricy as expected. Good for special occasion.
Love the traditional Italian food here.
Best service I’ve ever had in NYC and the food is delicious.
I expected the food to be amazing, but the service my grandma and I received was outstanding. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. I highly recommend this place!
Great service and ambiance. I brought my boyfriend for his birthday and the waiters helped to make the moment very special and unforgettable for us. As for food, it was very delicious but the spaghetti bolognese that I ordered was perhaps way too cheesy for my liking.
This is my favorite Italian restaurant of all time and this meal did not disappoint!!
The staff was amazing. Very attentive and excellent recommendations. The branzino was one of the best we’ve ever had.
Just too noisy. Food and service are superb. Thanks
Excellent excellent service, our waiter was very very attentive to our needs. So upset I forgot his name
But he’s a older ball gentleman. Italian hospitality At it’s finest.
Easily one of the top experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. Food fantastic. Service top of the line. My new go to place in NYC. Could not give this restaurant enough stars.
The manager Dave and staff were great the chef was wonderful and accommodating it was a great experience
We came here on a friend’s recommendation and we weren’t disappointed. From the moment we stepped in, we were treated like treasured guests. Everyone who served us was kind and witty. And the food was just as good as the service. What a gem in TriBeCa. We will be back.
Awesome thanksgiving dinner! The turkey was cooked perfectly, and the stuffing was phenomenal! Great ambience and terrific customer service!
Warm and cordial atmosphere. Attentive staff. Delicious food. My daughter and I had a lovely and memorable Thanksgiving dinner (and birthday celebration). A “six star” evening. We are already making plans to return.
I took my parents here for thanksgiving and it was wonderful. The service was outstanding and the ambiance of the restaurant made for a truly memorable meal. Definitely recommend!
We celebrated my husband's birthday. We were a large crowd and the welcome and service couldn't have been better. We all had a great time, food was terrific.
Amazing food. Attentive waiter although he had such a thick Italian accent we couldn’t understand him most of the time. Small nice room with basic ambiance. I will be back.
We really enjoyed the food, the service, and the overall experience! The wines are quite pricey as is the food, but we would go back to try different dishes, for sure!
The restaurant was as laud as a place can be. Prices and location suggest a more refined environment. Instead, the restaurant is an overpriced everyday Italian food joint that most likely makes business out of the Citi bank employees across the street. Not advisable for dinning out with your partner, a good place to go with a group and get drunk o. overpriced wine
Celebrated my sister’s birthday! Staff were pros and the food was delicious... dover sole, pasta with white truffle, osso bucco were all really fantastic and the branzino was spectacular!!!!! Dessert was wonderful as well, specifically the cheesecake and cherry cake, the staff beautifully serenaded happy birthday and the night was perfect! Lastly - I recommend for everyday dining as well as special occasion, I will be back soon.
Servers were very accommodating due to food allergies and food was excellent
The staff was fantastic and took very good care of us.
One of the best meals ever. Expensive but worth every cent The service was 5 star
Very disappointed in my first meal at Il Mulino’s Tribeca location, which is a real shame since I loved the original location and went there for many years. Service was very slow and completely screwed up our entree orders. 3 members of our table got their food but then two guests literally didn’t get their entrees until nearly 30 minutes later... and the worst part was that NO ONE came to explain or apologize until I flagged down the host to ask what the hell was going on with our food. Even then, he bustled off and didn’t even tell me/us what had happened until probably 10 minutes later when I flagged another server down to ask yet AGAIN what was going on. Then the waiter finally owned up and said he had written down the wrong order for 2 of us. They offered a complimentary glass of wine but we turned it down; in my opinion that was a terribly paltry offer for such terrible service and accountability. They ended up giving us three small slices of dessert to share for the 5 of us as a gift but even that wasn’t helpful because we had to wait so long to get it after we asked for the check and wanted to just get out of there. The food was tasty but honestly with that screwed up service I won’t be back. Would much rather head to Locanda Verde just down the street.
Overall loved the restaurant. We felt the wine list was weak and not having a Corkage fee seems strange when the wine list is so small and expensive.
The truffle pasta was too cold and the amount of white truffles that were given to us did not warrant the $200 serving.
